DB2 has extensive functionality, has a lot of built-in features. Robust database software.

The product supports almost any front-end application that requires database. All the drivers are provided as you setup a connection to an application.

We load all the sales data into DB2 system and will derive analytics on top of it. I can recommand if you have lot of budget to put on database managemnet.

The query speed and result retrieval is a pain point. May be they can introduce an instant results UI page on the Mainframes.

IBM Db2 on Cloud makes it more easier to use to teach database management in my class. Students need no installation procedure to use it.

The bad thing that I see, is that you have to acquire a business license to use your maximum potential, apart from that there is also use IBM hardware, otherwise many conflicts are created.

It was simple to install and by default comes as self managed. We also deploy this for hosting customer data and integration with net backup, ha solutions and job scheduling is industry standard.

We used it for projects that have a huge database and complex queries, the experience was great as the ability to handle complex queries reduced the load on our application.

I was able to run millions, sometimes billions of rows of data through and it handled it just fine. The included functions were very helpful in translating complex data structures.

We don't have to worry about license costs as they wouldn't be more than that in Oracle. It can run on any OS like windows, Linux, Mac.

IBM Db2 is very expensive to maintain compared to its competitors. Another issue for me is the lack of timely updates.

It's fairly easy to set up and offers a lot of functionality, it's very easy to connect to most of the UI tools and framework. The security features make it ideal for banking applications.

IBM Data studio can be used to run commands and provides a good interface to interact with the database.

As such this review will be biased towards SAP.

Db2 scales very well AFTER a certain point. Support is excellent, it's easy to get stood up once you have a feel for what you're doing.

Installation is very easy and when installed it's ease of use, very convenient. It's also very easy to connect to other tools like DBVisualizer which gives another way of viewing the tables and info.

It did everything I needed. Maybe the only complaint would be how complex it is, but that is more of a feature not a bug.

Reliable notifications so to not miss anything. Integrations with flight schedules incorporated automatically.

As data grows in production environment, it becomes slow. Thread hung and application performance degrades.

It is such a powerful tool that optimized requested works super fast.

If you experience failed installation, uninstalling it may not fully do the trick. You need to delete folders or directories it has created during installation.

Error Handling feature is really impressive. DB2 provides API support for many languages.

It is much faster than its competitors. Excellent for medium applications.

I find the customer support of IBM Db2 the best product support team as whenever we have questions they just respond to them in the quickest way.

A very secure, stable and DB with great performance.

The acquisition cost can be a hindrance in the acquisition negotiations. Support is also a weakness for the cost, forcing the use of DB2 communities for troubleshooting.

Requires a lot of cpu and Ram which is some cases is now possible, the interface might be called obsolete.

Sporadically I use DB2 to maintain legacy systems. Until today, I never had any problems with him.

Straightforward to install and manage. Solid deployments but features can be behind.

I like the Atlas Cloud solution. It enables various tricks and cross-integrations of single database between multiple apps (containers) with simple user management - for a reasonable price.

MongoDB configuration UI is great, you can configure on minutes and it allows you to scale your solution with few clicks.

Incredibly easy to learn and integrate into code. Fantastic support and built out systems for different languages (Nodejs, for example).

Being a JavaScript developer I find the database super comfortable to use. It is easy to set up and quick to inspect and makes changes to the documents.

Mongo DB is super easy to setup, has great documentation, great community around it, and easy to find lots of use cases for it.

The best part of my experience using MongoDB has to be its ease of use and tiny learning curve.

Also, It does not support the ACID properties of the database properly. The lock mechanism is poor as compared to the relational database.

I disliked how it performed as the database grew, as well as the lack of queries.

MongoDB is a great database for working with big data and IOT (Internet of Things) related projects with very good performance.

It removes certain limitations associated with relational databases. In overall, it's easy to use, cloud costs are accessible.

The installation is confusing I suppose. And Limited Data Size is another.

Joining documentation, indexing data are quite confusing and become hard as you dive.

It's for sure the best NoSQL DB on the market. It's powerful and there is a huge community that works with it.

I do have to say the data sizes on MongoDB is higher than what I've seen from other database software. There is also some lack of flexibility with querying because there are no JOINS.

There are no functions available for Transaction. MongoDB's documentation is much confusing to the users.

Cleaning up records that become out of sync is a pain in the ass. Was not ACID compliant until recently.

MongoDB is very nice and easy to use and worked well for my small application.

I also appreciate the MongoDB developer community and the fact that it's open source, which means there are many resources available to help me improve my MongoDB skills.
