A real time saver when you want to get going fast. The query history is also very useful and is very quick now in the last few releases. Cons: Hard to genuinely fault with so many nice features. Previously I would have said the speed of the query history search but that has been addressed now and is super fast. Reasons for switching to SQL Complete Cost mainly. We've been using SSMS for many years and we only started using SQL Complete not long ago because I was looking for a code formatter that doesn't cost a lot. Turned out the devs loved the code completion feature and we've been using it (and renewing the license) since then. The intelligent auto-completion, query formatting, and code snippets make writing SQL much faster and help keep queries clean and consistent. It integrates seamlessly into the SSMS editor and makes navigating database objects much easier, especially when working with larger schemas. Cons: In larger databases with many objects, the autocomplete suggestion list can sometimes become quite long, which makes it a bit harder to quickly find the exact table or column you’re looking for.
