The query history is also very useful and is very quick now in the last few releases. #### Cons Hard to genuinely fault with so many nice features. Previously I would have said the speed of the query history search but that has been addressed now and is super fast. #### Reasons for switching to SQL Complete Cost mainly. We've been using SSMS for many years and we only started using SQL Complete not long ago because I was looking for a code formatter that doesn't cost a lot. Unlike the basic autocompletion found in SQL Server, this tool understands context: when you type a JOIN, it automatically suggests related columns; when you use aliases, it recognizes tables without having to type the full name, and it even suggests functions and parameters. #### Cons I also noticed that in very large databases, it can become a bit slower in terms of performance, especially when loading metadata for autocompletion.
