ACE Dental is a scalable, on-premise Practice Management solution that offers a variety of features for aiding in the day-to-day management of a dental office.

Applications include appointment scheduling with automated appointment reminders and appointment pre-blocking; the billing applications include paper and electronic insurance claims management, patient and family ledgers, monthly payment plan capabilities, and more. The Practice Management system contains fully integrated word processing and mail merge, as well as a prescription writer, credit card integration, digital signatures, and reporting. 3D restorative charting, visual treatment planning, auto clinical notes, and mixed dentition are other features offered within the optional clinical charting suite.

Ace Dental supports all types of dental practices: orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, and more. The software can be installed on a single computer or over a network with unlimited users. It can also be accessed on mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone, and Droid Phones.

Ace Dental Review

Generally, Ace should be available in all dental clinics. It is reliable only if you back up everyday. One the dentist finishes doing the procedures, she doesn't have to communicate verbally to the rest of the team. This application has a chat option, then send to all. The dentist can also check out what was done in the operation room. This helps the front office team to be up to date before the client reaches there. It is a great application!

Pros

This is the best program to use since I started working as a dental assistant. It helps us keep a well organized patient information. I can print out a chart and a treatment plan for the patient. This makes explaining easier. When it comes to following up with recalls, you just have to enter the period of time and it will give you a list of all the patients that are due for hygiene recall. It helps us schedule appointments for both old and new patients. I like the new version whereby, I can attach a patients image( an OPG) on Ace for easier retrival.
It also helps us to send bulk emails to our clients. We do this three days to their appointment day. What I love most about this application is, you can have a family of five people under one account. This helps us follow up with any outstanding bills smoothly.
It has an option to fill out the insurance details. Hence we can differentiate whether to call the individuals for payment or call the insurance.

Cons

This application is expensive for a small dental clinic. The payment keep increasing as the version upgrades. It is not easy to understand. You must go through some tutorial and a lot of practice for you to understand it.

Pros

Cons

Well to be honest the software is very good to use, perhaps more hints on how to use it or a diverse section on how frequently asked questions.

ACE is GREAT!

My overall experience has been very good. They are consistently adding features and the cost is very affordable compared to other dental software programs.

Pros

I love the ease of this software program for our dental office. I am positive that any employee can easily learn the functions within a couple of days. The customer support is beyond awesome. They are only a phone call away and if you have to leave a message, your call is returned within a matter of minutes. If you forget how to do a particular step, there are tutorials readily available or again just a phone call away.

Cons

I would say the only part I like least is the periodontal charting feature. It could be more fine tuned for the needs of a hygienist.

I have been very happy with this software!

Ease of use at w fair price! The support is very helpful and have taken care of our problems quickly. This program can do everything you need to run an office efficiently.,

Pros

This is a great program for the price. Ace program is windows based and there is no need for a trainer to come out to your office. All backups can be sent to ace cloud!

Cons

Problems with computers when there is a windows update. We had some problem with cloud backups . Need separate backup for X-rays.

So happy that we researched before we committed to getting ACE for our office. Best decision made!

Pros

It has everything we need to run our dental office; scheduling, charting, bridging our digital x-rays, employees time clock, claims, etc. They have great customer support, user friendly, and very affordable.

Cons

The dental images are not on clouds, so if I'm not in the office, I can't check my patients radiographs.

Great Software

Have Been using ACE for a long time. The company has worked with me to make it affordable for more than one practice. Support is great. patient support staff ( needed for oldies like me!!!!)

Pros

The only con about this software is that they dont have it for other medical clinics, it would be great for nephrology use in my opinion

I like azure and the fact that the price is right - so now I'm writing just to meet ur character requirement.

Cons

Too many glitches. Not forgiving if u schedule too many units for the appointment space. It just deletes the appointment u r trying to make. Also u can't delete duplicate rxs unless it's the same day. Not real user friendly -

Pros

I love that we can navigate through the program through the tabs at the top! I don't have to sift through a maze of 20 tabs to get to what I need. They offer every imaginable treat you could need or use and it all works seamlessly! I've used ACE since 2007 and am still thrilled to work with such an awesome team! And yes, I've use other programs as well so this isn't my first rodeo! Have worked in dental since 1995 myself.

Great experience. Rarely have problems. If so, support is readily available and solves the problem immediately. They are constantly updating the software also.

The recall system is amazing. I have been in practice for 35 years. I use to send out Recall Reminder Cards with poor results. With ACE reminder system, my front desk sometimes has to call ACE to stop sending reminders as we have no vacancies available in our appointment book. There appointment book reminders has virtually eliminated No Shows.

Pros

Ease of use yet more features than I would ever use are available. The IT support is great. They listen to suggestions.

Cons

Maybe they can update the appearance of the program a little.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE

I truly like the ease of this program and that Ace constantly improves the features. Again, the support team is what makes this company special. I know when I call someone will call me back in a timely fashion to help.

The support staff is second to none. We have had our computer crash 3 times
in the last week.

pretty easy to learn- customer service always very helpful. Especially cust support representatives!!! :)

Cons

freezes up alot. it also kicks us out quite frequently when we go to check patients out. also changes things (ex. in collections it will change how patient pays. i enter it as visa and it will show up as cash ?)

Quick customer service when questions arise.

Pros

Simplifies admin duties. Customer support representative has walked us through many questions and handled them knowledgeably and professionally.

Cons

It is hard to pick up a scheduled appointment and move it to another column on the same day. You often have to move it to the hold area and then back to the schedule to make it work okay. Not a huge deal but can be a nuisance when you are trying to move something quickly when the patient is on the line.

Good Dental Software

Pros

Excellent customer service. Danika is almost always immediately available, always helpful and very knowledgeable.

Cons

Visuals could be improved. Many features not included and monthly add-on costs add up. Software operates slowly and sometimes screens jump on their own.
