Aside from basically having a digital new employee (for a fraction of the cost), the paperless check in, treatment planning, consent forms and voicemail drops are definitely our favorite features so far. There is not a single thing to dislike. Cons: Initially, integration with Eaglesoft was limited, however I was informed that advanced integration was in process. Which Modento quickly delivered much quicker than anticipated. Reasons for choosing Dental Intelligence Modento offered advanced features, our standing customer service and seamless integration with PMS. Reasons for switching to Dental Intelligence Limited functionality, and no direct integration with our practice management software aside from appointment confirmations. The only thing we liked about Dental intelligence is the online forms we had and that it put the information straight into Dentrix, otherwise not worth the price we have been paying them. Cons: When submitting payments if you put it through a specific patient it will still just go under the Head of household file. To text a patient you can't create a new chat you would have to create a whole new person in dentrix or wait for an updated phone number which would take a while. You can't change an email in Dental intelligence you would also have to do that through dentrix and still would take a long time to transfer over, making some situations uncomfortable with the patient waiting for an email. The insurance eligibility does not work on very many company's so we would have to call the insurance even though we pay to have insurance eligibility. They also have an online scheduling that keeps track of HYG past due, unscheduled TX, broken appointments and can pull from our ASAP list! Even if you do not want patients to be able to make their own apt (we do not) the rest of the information that DI can tack is so worth it, and to be able to pull from the ASAP list is a game changer! Plus, they offer so much more, really is the best engagement system we have used! Cons: We do not use the Analytics. It's a company based in another state than I am in, but it feels like they are right next to us because we can text, call, email and they are right there! The software itself is easy to use, easy to implement and once again, they were right there when we needed anything. The platform is nice to look at, gives it a high quality feel, great user experience for us and the patients. They're are always updating their features and gives a monthly announcement and video on the new updates. It's very impressive. Cons: If I could go in and edit my own health history forms that would be fantastic, but maybe in the future. Currently, we email in the edits and it's done in a few short hours or a day. So it's not a problem, just a wish list. Reasons for switching to Dental Intelligence The previous company, Lighthouse360 was just to slow. I'd waited put to an hr and my staff has waited over an 1hr to get customer support. That's not acceptable. There's other things we got to be doing than asking for simple things to change. Cons: I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Dental Intelligence, primarily due to a complete lack of responsiveness and unresolved billing issues. I’ve contacted their team multiple times regarding problems with my account and explicitly requested that the matter be escalated to a manager. Despite this, my emails have not been returned, and there has been no follow-up or ownership of the issues raised. More concerning is the contract situation. The contract provided to me has a blank renewal period, yet I’m being told it is valid and enforceable. In addition, I’ve been overcharged based on the terms of that same contract. These are not minor discrepancies and should have been straightforward to address if someone had engaged. I’m posting this review because direct communication has failed. The reporting was very accurate easy way to access numbers without having to run a report in the practice management software.
