Over billing and taking forever to get refunded, horrible customer service-they treat you badly and are only available short hours for monetary issues. They purposely hang up on you and avoid calls.

Overall- I love this system and need more training. I love that I can view my day from any device with the internet.

Customer service is so helpful. They remote in and show you step by step.

Overall experience has been very good and the customer support has been amazingly and surprisingly good.

I also love the dashboard, it shows what claims need to be worked on and helps keep the team on track.

We've had a great experience with Dentrix Ascend and even worked to integrate the platform with several other practices.

Dentrix ascend is missing some of the key components of traditional dentrix.

It's not horrible and I'm not completely dissatisfied, but it has been disappointing.

I like the ease of use...meaning it's easy to navigate. Simplified version of their more complex server-based Software.

When things are broke or not working minimum 24-48 hours to fix.

The software has done exactly what we need and they continually are releasing new features that make the software more reliable. I love that it is all cloud based and we don't need a local server.

Tricky to use, inability to add templates, referral processes.

The support with Dentrix has been great. The response is almost immediate and very helpful.

The cloud based platform makes for a great integration between multiple locations. The interface is practical and laid out well (once your are adjusted to it).

Online scheduling never worked properly/ MANY ERRORS in scheduling/ double booking/ and we have now disabled.

Building the report needed is time consuming and confusing. Of all the complicated things you can do with Ascend, electronic billing isn't one of them.

As a initial practice management software it was very useful for clinical and management data entry.

EasyDental was one of the solutions I tested during a consultancy I provided for a dental office.

I would say that setting up a new patient into the system was pretty easy. Adding new insurance companies and their guidelines was also pretty easy.

Really easy to use, charting is update with terminology and modern. Features and functionality is great.

The icon symbols also make it very easy to navigate.

They even told me to speak to their legal department; that there is nothing I can do. I am held hostage; because of all my data is stuck with ED.

This product has had some challenges with losing patients while in an open digital function and could set a full mouth X-ray back to the beginning should this happen on the last image.

The release of Easy Dental 12 is terrible, it is full of glitches and non working functions.

So try and give a new patient a treatment plan, pay a bill... not happening.

The dental charting itself is easy to read and follow, it is easy to treatment plan and review the difference of existing restorations versus pending treatment.

I like that you can change the dentists column colors versus the hygienist.

All the modules are cleverly placed and great to work with.

The software itself is easy to use, easy to navigate, and easy to chart/add data etc.

The customer service is horrible. The people don't avswer right away and they aren't friendly.

Easy Dental by Henry Schein is an on-premise practice management solution for dentists that can support practices of any size. The solution serves multiple specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.


The Easy Dental suite has modules for clinical charting, billing and patient scheduling. Within the scheduling module, users can create customized calendars for each provider in a dental practice. Scheduling functionality keeps track of every patient who would prefer an earlier appointment, allowing staff to reschedule these patients if an earlier appointment becomes available due to a no-show or cancellation.


Patient billing module allows dentists to post procedures, payments and adjustments along with taxes and discounts. The module exports financial data to MS Excel.
