  • Pros

  • Lighthouse 360 is good for what it is (patient communication software). Great for texting with patients and setting up a reminder system.
  • It is a great software for confirmations, and recall. It definitely has helped to improve our patient scheduling.
  • I like all of the features of Lighthouse 360. It is very user friendly.
  • Cons

  • The whole purpose we pay for this service is to be able to use it to connect with patients and giving patients in 2019 the option to opt out is annoying when I cannot contact them.
  • They are not able to "mask" the number used to confirm as the office number if it is a voIP line, which was also disappointing.
  • A little less than a year ago we switched to another program as they offered a little bit of a cheaper price. Biggest mistake we have ever made.

  • Ease of use is and ability for new staff to learn on is fantastic. The support is easily accessible and every issue has been resolved quickly.
  • Best of all, their customer service is easily reachable by several different options and is fast and fantastic.
  • Open Dental is an amazing piece of software, with excellent support and customization.
  • Cons

  • The other backup, the "Cloud" back up would not sync, there was an issue with the password that could not be recovered. I was dead in the water.
  • They spent hours remotely working on my machine and escalated it to their top techies. And it was really a problem with Windows not Open Dental that caused the problem.
  • This software is not easy to use or user-friendly, it's a little frustrating if you have to switch screens and remember info from other areas, X-rays are not transferable.
