This is a much needed tool and to be able to use and access it for free is so important. VS Code has direct integrations and works flawlessly when committing your changes.

Another great benefit is that you don't have to invest for the security of the code as that is handled by Github itself.

The experience was awesome the quality of the software is good and ease of use is the main quality of Github.

Github makes version control so easy and straightforward. Team management is great and there are loads of extras available such as task management and documentation that all add up to a great service.

It is easy to see the difference in the code and then do merge, decline or accept, which is a great utility and improves collaboration.

It's super reliable, easy to contribute our projects and share among all. It also contains broad set of features and also provides a clean responsive UI for the interaction.

Github is reliable and feature-rich service with clean UI and great UX. It offers broad range of integrations and productivity tools like Github actions.

The only thing I personally dislike about GitHub is the merging capabilities and resolving the code conflicts. It becomes a hell sometimes while resolving the conflicts to merge the code.

Also, it has a great DevOps pipeline that are customisable. Github has a really nice engaged community for open source codes, encouraging tech discussion and issue solving.

The sheer amount of users, projects and ideas on the platform seems limitless, it is accessible too and the free subscription mode is great.

Interface can sometimes be confusing. Having to know git is sometimes a hindrance.

I have had an overall fantastic experience with this software and you need it to be an effective programmer.

Initial setup for beginners can be confusing. Also, the conflict resolver is tricky.

Features like squash/merge from UI are really great and saves a lot of time. Jira integration of pull requests is awesome.

GitHub makes it easy to collaborate on projects, pricing is pretty good and it's easy to pick up.

GitHub has been criticized for its user interface, which can be confusing and difficult to use.

I've struggled a bit to find this one: on large projects, the performance drops a bit (the UI lags a bit in terms of updates).

What also sets Tower apart is their great documentation and learning material. A detailed documentation is accompanied by tutorials, webinars and responsive support.

I find the user interface to be very easy to use and the feature set is fantastic. The quality is very high  as well, I can't recall running into any bugs with Tower.

It enables us to commit with confidence and solve merge conflicts with ease. Even our new developers can instantly work with Tower, even if they have never used Git before.

Sluggish with large projects to the point of freezing.

It is painful to use the arrow keys to navigate particularly long commit messages.

The only thing is : No dark mode for Windows yet.

Tower is one of those phenomenally useful tools that is done with great taste, simply works, and gets out of your way when you are heads down into your work.

I save time every single day with Tower's ease of use and excellent visualization of repositories.

The workflows are intuitive, e.g. you can perform many actions by drag and drop (from creating branches all the way to cherry-picking a commit).

So, Tower helps me to feel more safe and more confident in what I do, even if it's about the hard things in Git.

I enjoy how Tower gives you access to all of Git’s features through a user-friendly interface.

Dealing with Git conflicts, ability to quickly undo using CMD-Z and support for external diff tools are all awesome additional features.

The Windows version is still missing a few features that are already implemented on macOS.

I stumbled upon Tower, the wonderful Git client for macOS about 5 years ago. Ever since that day, I use Tower everyday for my work.

Excellent Supplement or Replacement for Command Line.

In addition to these, the ability to search by author, commit hash, file, date and ability to easily push, pull and rebase (basic expectations from any Git client) are all very well done.

In contrast: It assists where reasonable, but as said still clearly communicates what it's doing under the hood. So, to cut it short: Its UI is the perfect combination of simple yet powerful.

I particularly love how easy it is to quickly rebase your changes based on a remote branch. But there are two big features in Tower that has saved me countless hours of work.

Compared to integrated source code solutions Tower brings a nice interface which is disconnected from your IDE.

The interaction with GitHub and the integration of existing projects is just great.
