All content and files related to our brand are in one place available to our team and business partners, and with intelligent image and file search systems, let's imagine you have Google Images in control of your files. The ability to share files and determine the level of access is very useful, and it is possible to use the files in all applications and Softwares that we use daily, both offline and online. Superb Cloud-based Digital Asset Management platform with great integration without the learning need, because it’s super easy to use.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The ability to search for images and select similar photo works very smartly and excellent. Also, file sharing is useful for our team with the possibility of creating an access level, and the ability to use files in all tools, platforms, and software works great for us, this is superb integration capability when you are at real project understanding how it’s useful in reality.

#### Cons

The structure of folders and tags can be more intelligent than a method with artificial intelligence and logic, and currently does not match the other features of a cloud-based platform, and may require a more modern design. There are many ideas for managing smart tags and smart folders that I am sure the Brandfolder development team will achieve in the future.

#### Reasons for choosing Brandfolder

Managing and searching files in the cloud is very fast and categorizing and working with it does not require separate training and everyone on the team can use it.

#### Reasons for switching to Brandfolder

The speed and smart search of similar images in our digital assets are very important to us that this software is ahead of the competitors.

Overall, BrandFolder has been fine for my team - the learning curve is just trickier than we had expected.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

BrandFolder is great for asset management at a much deeper level than our previous tool, Google Drive. I love that you can add multiple custom fields to distinguish various types of assets and add multiple attachments to one asset. It's made our team be more strategic about how we organize. You can be a lot more specific when trying to find particular assets.

#### Cons

I still miss some of the simplicity and features of Google Drive, such as flexible folder structures. BrandFolder has its own version of this, called sections, but it's technically more rigid. With BrandFolder you have to be more strategic in how to set up overall structures, but it's not always obvious or intuitive on how to do that right away when your previous asset management tools were completely different. Also, it's easy to mess up BrandFolder tagging - sometimes you accidentally bulk tag the wrong assets, and it can take a while to figure out how to undo it.

#### Reasons for switching to Brandfolder

We kept running out of space and creating new shared drives. Plus, its search capabilities felt too simplistic at times.

I have been involved in Brandfolder since we started using it at my company. We have a large number of assets including logos, images, collateral, tradeshow displays, videos, etc that we need to share with our global marketing team, sales team, other employees as well as our business partners, distributors, etc. Brandfolder has been a game changer for us for this reason. The templating feature allows users to self serve by filling in information and exporting pdfs. This is a great feature when it comes to business cards, customizing call to actions on Ads, etc.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I really enjoy the visual nature of Brandfolder. It is easy to navigate and review files that are in system. I really like the group tagging and pin tagging features. I can pin tag selected items for a campaign, pin tag it at the top of the page and viewers can select the tag and view all of the items without having to plug in search terms. The new feature of being able to crop images and export to a specific pixel dimension is a game changer for us. It allows users to self serve without having to back to a designer to edit.

#### Cons

Brandfolder has a great insights tool that allows you to see what the most popular items that being downloaded. To get a deeper view of my data, I currently need to have my rep send me an excel sheet. I would like to be able to self serve that data from the insights are on Brandfolder.

Over the past year, I’ve reached out to Brandfolder/Smartsheet multiple times regarding serious financial hardship. I made small payments as a sign of good faith—with their approval—despite not using the service at all. I've been transparent and proactive in trying to resolve this, have emails and bank statements to support this, yet they’ve chosen to be unresponsive until it benefited them. Not only was I actively communicating, but their pattern of behavior shows a clear lack of integrity. For spans of time, my messages went unanswered—until very conveniently, after the cancellation window passed. Only then did they reply, conveniently locking me into another year of service and adding more charges to an already stressful situation. Despite approving my payments which I suggested to them myself, the most recently sent my account to a third-party collections agency, claiming I had ignored all prior payment communication, which is completely false. Their handling of this matter has been deeply disappointing and disingenuous. I came to them in good faith, received their approval to make partial payments, and still found myself blindsided by collections and inaccurate accusations. If necessary, I’m prepared to escalate this further, including involving a legal team and requesting a full audit of my contact attempts and their internal processes. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them. This experience has felt more like a trap than a service. I would never recommend working with a company that operates like this.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5

#### Pros

No matter how great a program can be, my experience below has overridden absolutely everything. No business can outrun their practices.

#### Cons

From their patterns, it seems as if they preferred to benefit themselves more than provide a good service. Please read my experience below to grasp what I didn't "like."

With Brandfolder we're able to house all of these graphics within a central location so that multiple marketing departments across various branches are able to access and use approved graphics without needing to bother me.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Brandfolder has somehow managed to upload all of our thousands of photos into their photo library without loosing those photos. (The surprise) the AI Facial Recognition was also fairly effective in finding specific student models when I thought it would be a total failure. You are also able to create your own custom portal link and email those links to outside contractors and vendors saving me from having to send huge email attachments on a daily basis. They do allow you to save/download images in a variety of pre-defined aspect ratio formats as well. They do have a Canva Integration, I suppose that is ok.

#### Cons

Every time I close an image from a search, the whole page refreshes and returns me to the top of the image library. The amount of times I've wanted to toss my computer monitor out the window because of it. Thumbnails take way longer than normal to load. Each time they show us some new features during webinars they put them behind another wall for legacy accounts which is really frustrating.

The lockout imposed by covid prompted us to shift our focus to remote consultation. Using Brandfolder, we were able to give our customers big files quickly and easily. Using the Guest Uploads functionality, we can aggregate assets from our network so that we may all benefit from their contributions. Using this tool, our partners may upload huge files without having to send them over email.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The ability to tag assets makes them more discoverable, and that's something I'd want to see more of. In addition, I like the ease with which I can share any Brandfolder item with another user without them having to form an account. If you're looking for a tool that's straightforward to learn and use, this is the one. Sharing files with clients and coworkers has never been easier.

#### Cons

I can honestly say that Brandfolder has no drawbacks for me. Brandfolder has never let me down, and I've never had any issues with it in the past.

#### Reasons for switching to Brandfolder

So I don't have to worry about taking up too much space on my computer or slowing down my processor by storing a lot of high-resolution photographs and huge files in one place on the Internet.

### A dependable and user-friendly solution for digital asset management

On the whole, my experience with Brandfolder has been a positive one. It has brought real structure and efficiency to how we handle digital assets, and the time we used to spend searching for the right files has been significantly reduced. There is certainly room for improvement in terms of usability and customization, but it's a reliable platform that I would recommend to teams looking for a solid asset management solution.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What impressed me most is how easy Brandfolder is to use. Getting assets organized, finding what you need, and sharing files across teams takes very little effort. I particularly appreciate the clean interface, the responsive search functionality, and having everything stored in one centralized location that multiple teams can rely on.

#### Cons

There are a few areas where the platform requires some patience. Managing a large number of assets or setting up more advanced workflows comes with a learning curve, and certain features aren't as intuitive as they could be. I also think some parts of the interface could be more flexible to accommodate different ways of working.

The organisation and search functionality is really what stands out. It’s so much easier to find assets now, especially since we’ve got a massive library. Tagging is pretty straightforward and the version control works well for us. It keeps everything tidy.

#### Cons

The pricing model feels a little steep for smaller teams, and sometimes the bulk upload process can be a bit clunky, it takes a bit longer than I'd expect. Getting support on a specific issue also took longer than ideal a few months back.

#### Pros

Brandfolder has been a major time saver for our team, letting us easily host and search for image assets and embed them in our marketing communications. We switched from a clunky in-house hosting solution to Brandfolder, and managed to shave off production time AND eliminate storage bloat caused by accidental duplicate files. The platform is easy to navigate and search, gives us plenty of custom organization options, and requires very little prep/training. Brandfolder has been stable and reliable, so we know our files will be there and load when we need them to!

#### Cons

While I appreciate how granular you can get with the permissions in Brandfolder, the majority of our users ideally need full upload/edit permissions. However, the expense of additional Admin accounts is prohibitive, leaving us to shuffle Admin level permissions around from person to person to ensure we have adequate coverage when someone is out of the office. Additionally, the way that permissions levels are listed across several different places in the platform is somewhat confusing. A single, platform-wide permissions screen would be a great feature. Lastly, the templating feature through PrintUI was so confusing to implement that the task has been handed through three different people in our office and we never got it off the ground.

#### Reasons for switching to Brandfolder

Our in-house solution was not built with image hosting and embedding in mind and just was not efficient.

#### Pros

Brandfolder is an application that remains as an open tab in my browser. My company has 4 different folders that houses digital assets to be used internally, an internal brand guideline, externally/publicly facing assets, and then co-branding guidelines for partners. This level of organization makes it seamless for me to find the appropriate brand collateral that I need in my role. My company also went through a rebrand a few months ago and our Marketing Team had everything uploaded in Bradnfolder and ready to be downloaded that day. I couldn’t imagine re-launching a brand without having this platform!

#### Cons

Since I am not a member of the team that manages the platform, I can’t say matter of fact that we utilize all Brandfolder has to offer; however, from a user-experience, I wish we could connect our personal social information to the platform so if it’s something we wanted to share, we could push it directly from Brandfolder vs. having to download it and share externally.

Great! Highly recommend this tool.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Very user-friendly interface that's intuitive to use. The visual organization, secure file sharing capabilities, tagging and meta data is very helpful.

#### Cons

Upload time or download time can be a little slow (this could be my network issue?), and sometimes we max out of space.

#### Reasons for switching to Brandfolder

Too expensive and not user-friendly.

Brandfolder has been great for collaboration. It's a great way to share content and resources with our partners and team members in one central location. It's made things very accessible and organized and help makes our teams more self sufficient which in return saves time and makes us more efficient overall.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like the ease of use. It's incredibly easy to organize things in a way that are easy to find. We are able to tag things that make it incredibly easily searchable which has been a huge time saver.

#### Cons

I have had a few issues with getting things uploaded with videos. When they've been uploaded sometimes they won't upload in the correct MP4 section and I haven't quite been able to figure out what I'm doing incorrectly with that.
