Great Digital Signage Solution

I needed a way to show customers what our business offers along with our success stories. The Breeze Digital Signage does that. I also use their signage internally, to show updates and progress on our projects. This feedback loop increases visibility and transparency to my employees.

PROS

10/10, seriously! Breeze really is a breeze to use. (Sorry, couldn't resist!) Setting up my digital signage players and using the editor, scheduling, and publishing was really easy. If I get stuck, their knowledge base has the answers I need. The videos are short and to the point. There was one time I had to contact tech support directly and they had my problem fixed in a matter of minutes. Creating my playlists is very simple. I can easily organize my content in Zones and schedule it in the timeline. They also have widgets that I can drag and drop right in.

CONS

Any product can be better, but I haven't seen one that comes close to the the number of features Breeze supports. Also, you can see the software improving all the time.

Great Fit for In Store Advertising

Overall, incredible product. We searched for a long time before landing with Breeze and it has been the perfect fit for our in store advertisements. We are able to switch them out on our own and update as often as we would like to keep everything fresh and current. Our sales rep [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was super easy to work with and very patient as we went through our decision process. [SENSITIVE CONTENT], our tech support, has been amazing. He helped us through any of the kinks with set up and made sure to follow up to make sure everything was running smoothly. His responses were almost always immediate. We have been utilizing the software for over 3 years and could not be more happy with the product they created.

PROS

Once you get settled in to learning all the features this software is easy to use. There are a lot of built in features that make it user friendly and the thing I love most about this is that I can access it through the browser on any computer at work or away.

CONS

I would love to be able to create, load to a scheduled playlist and deploy to a device all in one screen instead of flipping back and forth.

Reason for choosing Breeze

Breeze's presentation was the best and they promised they could deliver exactly what we were looking for. Which they did! They are also local and we love supporting businesses in our area.

Vendor Response

Thank you very much for the nice words Sabrina. This is always our goal! About your question regarding a "single-screen" creation, and deployment...we might have a solution in the latest release. Call me (Wes) at 800-393-4966

Daily Use of Breeze

0.5/10, I would seriously advise against selecting Keywest/Breeze as your digital signage solution. The worst part isn't the software itself or the hardware you select to go with it. It's the lack of assistance Breeze offers. Their version of training is a bank of PowerPoints, yes PowerPoint presentations with about 15 slides per-topic. Hilariously enough the 2nd or 3rd slide of these PowerPoint is a sort of directory. At first this seems normal but as you try to navigate more specific tasks and find solutions in the manual it becomes this painful "Build Your Own Digital Signage" experience reminiscent of the 90's "Build Your Own Adventure Books". The manual will instruct you, "go to slide 9" for a specific piece of information, upon completion slide 9 will instruct you to "return to slide 5". Here's where they really get you, the cost of training and assistance. They offer nothing for self education aside from PowerPoints and text manuals that's aren't regularly updated, these manuals can be up to 5 years old and include no updated information. Essentially they force their clients to need additional resources then charge them for it.

PROS

Publish on save is a useful feature. Saving a step from saving your changes and having the option for setting weather those changes are publish immediately or at a later time is convenient

CONS

"Time Line" & "Zone", absolute mess to work with. Breeze fails to provide any real sufficient backend development and offers no real frontend options either. It's advertised as a drag and drop software, I assure you it is anything but.

Vendor Response

Good afternoon Cameron, I am sorry you have had a bad experience. Breeze is a subscription solution and that subscription covers everything (including selected hardware) We have lots of support materials (besides PPTXs, which a lot of people like). First, here is the link for our "Training Videos": https://helpdesk.keywesttechnology.com/portal/en/kb/articles/recorded-training And we have chat, email and 800-Tollfree support as well as a 24/7 HelpDesk! support ticket system. Yes, some materials are older, guilty as charged, and we're working on it (I will personally check on the "p9 to p5 Catch-22 item you mention). I am also curious what you mean by "backend and frontend development" as well as "drag and drop", which Breeze certainly is. I am unsure what you are referring to. Please feel free to call me anytime: Wes Dixon, VP, DIrector of Sales at (888) 393-4966 (mobile) or emails me at wesd@keywesttechnology.com. We remain, at your service.

Breeze Signage Stable and Dependable

Overall we have been very pleased with the Breeze signage solution.

PROS

The software has been stable and has very low maintainance. Our users have required very little training on how to use it as it is fairly easy to use.

CONS

The SSO integration which is fairly new could use some improvements, especially in the area of usernames.

Reasons for switching to Breeze

The old system was clunky and each site had to maintain its hardware and content. This made sharing content across multiple sites very difficult.

Vendor Response

Thank you Christopher! We are working to improve Breeze all the time... Feel free to elaborate on your SSO ideas!!! - WesD, VP Sales

Breeze Live

Getting started was challenging, even with the instructional videos. But once you comprehend how the system works, you forget about the experience you had learning how. Today I teach others in my company how the Breeze works and they all say "that's easy." It just took a little time and patience to get there. The best part about Breeze is the technical support. They are there to help and explain. There was never a hesitation to help me get passed roadblocks.

PROS

The best feature of the Breeze are the easy uploads. Once your system is up and running, and you comprehend each step, it is a piece of cake to add slides, delete slides and update slides. Plus, you no longer have to be at your own desk, at your own office, to make updates. You can be home on the couch and add a new slide. The scheduling format allows you to pick exact days, hours and minutes for special programming.

CONS

In order to go live, it is an inconvenience to have to go through YouTube. Going live is a treat and valuable resource for my media, but Breeze needs some help from YouTube to make it possible. Storage is also a challenge. Not all videos can be uploaded to the Breeze. Size and quality have to be considered.

Reason for choosing Breeze

Already familiar with Keywest Technology and technical staff. Switching from an older product gave me a head start in learning the new equipment.

Reasons for switching to Breeze

Wanted to go live and eliminate the need for software.

Vendor Response

Thank you Douglas, We are always working to make the start-up experience easier. Please share with us how you do this with your new colleagues! Thank you, Wes Dixon, VP Sales
