Great solution for our electronic lien waivers!
In the construction industry, lien waivers are extremely tedious and costly in terms of labor. With the help from Plumsail, I was able to create a web-based lien waiver process for our vendors. I was able to build and execute the form and document creation systems during the free trial period and due to our low volume, Plumsail customer service team gave us a custom plan catered to our needs. Couldn't be happier.
CONSI would love to utilize the inkpad option in the form and have it get imposed onto our document. Would also like to see the inkpad option be a required form field in addition.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
Power Automate does not have this solution, but was able to find Plumsail through Power Automate's compatible connectors.
Vendor Response
Dear Stefan! Many thanks for your review. As for the ink pad, it's possible to capture handwritten signatures with the form and insert them into documents as pictures using the picture formatter in your templates. Moreover, we've just recently published an update for forms, now you can make an ink sketch field required. If any questions, we'll be happy to assist you. Feel free to drop a line at support@plumsail.com.

Plumsail Documents
The easy Use of the software en the integration
CONSThe integration with Adobe Sign doesn't work
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
I find it more easy to generate a excel file and then convert it into PDF
Vendor Response
Dear Vincent, thank you for the review :) You mentioned that the integration with Adobe Sign doesn't work. We have done some tests and investigated cases when it could fail. For now, we have improved the logic, and in case the Adobe Sign delivery fails, you'll receive an understandable error message. So you can make the necessary configuration in your Adobe Sign account. Please, give it one more try, the Adobe Sign integration works. If you have any questions, contact us at support@plumsail.com - we'll be more than happy to help you!

Too early to tell - Ask me in 3 months
I made the decision to go with Plumsail and I want it to work but it's been a struggle for my pretty complex 1st document. My business need right out of the gate wasn't simple.
PROSI am currently on the fence as I see a few benefits to the tool. Word is so finnicky and I'm not having to deal with that (the use of the tokens is so much easier). The ability to create multiple slides/pages with looping over an array is fantastic.
CONSThe documentation isn't always the most clear when things seem straight forward but then it doesn't work. I hoping to get workarounds for the things it can't do. The response time from the help desk is only through written ticket system and no chat or phone and it takes overnight. No quick responses.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
Not sure really... the product seemed to have an answer for all my needs.
Reasons for switching to Plumsail Documents
Not enough functionality

So far So good
I was working good for over a year but last week my subscription disappeared and I had a disruption in my document generation (unable to send quotes to clients) when we troubleshoot our system the problem was plumsail. Turns out the subscription disappear I had to register and buy again!! luckily our documents where still there.
PROSThe ability to use our own templates to create branded documents.
CONSThere are some advance document types that are imposible to handle here: we have many indesign templates that we need to convert to power point and it limits image handling, conditional extra pages and so on.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
The easy of integration with other services.
Vendor Response
Carlos, thank you for your review! We're happy to know the product is working well for you. As for the issue with the license, we've already figured out with you the issue was related to your changes to the account credentials; it was fixed to prevent any similar situations in the future. Once again, thank you for your feedback. Please, feel free to contact us at support@plumsail.com at any point.

Great product which makes our live easier
Quite positive. Just would like to have a running subscription that prevents flows from failing due to the expiration. This interrupts our processes. Also, we would like to have a test environment. Currently, for testing purposes we are consuming credits which are meant for production.
PROSMerge documents (text with docx) and convert docx to pdf, excel occasional
CONSLacking of a test set-up that prevents consuming credits purchased for production.
Vendor Response
Dear Olof, thank you for your review. We're happy that the product works well for you. To prevent flows from failing due to the expiration, we advise our customers to buy additional documents or switch to the annual subscription, this could help. Also, there is a testing mode in the Processes, if to enable it, you won't spend your credits using the action Start document generation process in Flows. We're thinking of implementing this feature in some actions for Power Automate. Your feedback is very helpful!

Easy to use, easy to set with microsoft flow, automated file conversion.
Application is great, stable and simple to use. Even when I needed support, the support team replied within the next day, and they helped me through the troubleshooting, and problem solving.
PROSThe simplicity, it is as straight as it possibly could. I do not have software education background and even then I managed to set it inside an automated flow for file conversion.
CONSThe error messages are a little bit hard to understand and with the diagnosys, it takes some time to get used to it.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
I needed a file conversion system to work within a microsoft power automate flow, Plumsail was on the top of the list from the search bar, tried for free, fixed my problem flawlessly.

Initial Post Trial Review
Plumsail is very easy to use, the website is easy to navigate and provides reports that allow for usage monitoring and trends. I currently use the Power Automate pdf connectors and have found they are easy to employ and are reliable. These pdf features allow my applications to automate documentation tasks so the end user spends less time clicking buttons and editing documents.
PROSThis product is out-of-the-box easy to use, and easy to implement in Power Automate flows. The technical support was responsive to my inquiries.
CONSIt is a somewhat expensive. For a developer who needs to run multiple tests or experiment with an application design, the document limit can be high, and thus require an expensive plan.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
Adobe pdf services is far less expensive and appears to be targeted at software dev teams. However, a Premium Power Automate license was still required to use the adobe pdf connectors, so it was not an option.

Automating PDF Document Protection/Encryption
We have certificates and other legal documents that have signatures of high-ranking officials on them. Being able to lock PDFs to help prevent forgery using our documents as the source of signature images is great. I do feel that the cost for automation of just one tiny part of our Flow should not cost more than a couple pennies, so when I get pressured to find lower cost alternatives, I am sure I'll find at least one, and perhaps a pricing structure that matches our needs. Regardless, our department is becoming aware of the benefits of Power Automate and we'll definitely be using services like this at a growth rate of about 200% growth per year so services like yours will definitely see more and more uses from us.
PROSThe software integrates with Microsoft Flow (Power Automate). It offers the ability to provide Adobe Acrobat PDF document protection/encryption as a part of our Flow.
CONSThe per-use, per-month payment structure and no "Test Uses" for new deployments after the Trial period. Getting a Flow just right can be cumbersome and hampered by fear of using too many Plumsail uses. Ideal testing could be done if "Test Uses" were a feature. As it stands, our testing is now limited. For our uses, it's also incredibly difficult to predict our monthly uses. We may have one event, we may have half a dozen. The procurement system we're required to abide by as a local government entity is also extremely strict and the "buy extra if you run out in a month" does not work for us. We are 100% required to go through a procurement process that does not make buying extra uses on demand easy.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
Plumsail was just the first one I used. Muhimidi did not seem to do what Plumsail was able to do in key areas that we needed (that may have changed by now). Because Plumsail allowed me to extend my trial multiple times, I was finally able to show various bureaus in our department how useful it is. The biggest drive for use of Plumsail has probably stemmed from our deparment's response to COVID-19.
Reasons for switching to Plumsail Documents
Power Automate's seamless integration with services such as this one to enable lengthy processes to be completed automatically, and often-times much faster than usual.
Vendor Response
Dear Michael, many thanks for your review. Having taken into account your feedback, we've implemented a new logic of custom pricing. It handles such cases when it's hard to predict monthly usage. Please, contact us at sales@plumsail.com to get assisted.

Fantastic document automation
Our company supports foreigners in finding work and applying for working visas in Japan. Due to the bureaucracy-heavy framework in Japan, there are a number of documents that have to be generated, completed and signed before we can lodge visa applications. We were doing this manually until recently, where an explosive increase in candidates meant we could not keep up with the admin work. Plumsail helps to automate this process as much as possible, allowing documentation to be generated from within our recruitment records and sent to the appropriate person, limiting the amount of manual labor required.
PROSBeing able to tie Plumsail to Airtable via Zapier is absolutely fantastic in generating the many documents required to arrange visa applications for foreigner laborers coming to Japan.
CONSThere is nothing in particular that we don't like, simply because most items are highly customisable thus allowing us to tweak things as required to suit our needs.

Fills a hole in MS Forms
Overall experience has been a learning one and I'm glad I fought through it. Plumsail fills a need and fills a hole that MS Forms should already have in place (IMHO). I hope this stays in place and I hope to learn more in the future for more automation and simplification to our processes. If I was to have a criticism it would be cost. I understand how much this can do for us, but for a simple single instance to run when needed on form responses, it's a bit much IMHO.
PROSThe ability to auto-fill in prebuilt XL forms and reports with answers to online MS Forms questions, then to work with Power Automate to store them online, and convert them to PDF, and finally to email them to all necessary parties - was great....
CONSThe learning curve was a bit more than I was wanting to deal with. There are videos and such, but a lot of it assumes you know Power Automate already - I was learning both at once... Ultimately got it with trial & error (I think() and it suites our needs great!
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
We are moving (as a company) strictly to Office 365 and away from Google Docs. Plumsail was the first and seemed to have the highest user ratings while fitting the bill of what we needed it to do.

Great product for a honest price
I am using Plumsail to ouput fillable PDF documents with data coming from a third party application. It was easy to implement in our already existing Microsoft Flow solution.
PROSI was easy to implement the 'Fill in PDF Form' connector in Microsoft Flow. Plumsail also offered us a custom pricing plan according to our needs which makes us save some money.
CONSI would like to be able to flatten the PDF documents in order to bypass the following issue: I am using the Microsoft Flow connector 'Fill in PDF Form' to fill PDF documents by the produced output cause an issue when opening with Adobe Acrobat Reader. As Adobe recognize the document as fillable PDF, it automatically wants to save the file when exiting which is inconvenient for users.
Reasons for switching to Plumsail Documents
Plumsail offered me a custom pricing plan according to our needs
Vendor Response
Dear Pier-Luc, thank you for the review :) We're sorry to hear that you experienced inconvenience using the 'Fill in PDF form' action. We've taken a closer look at what could cause such behavior. It turned out it was a recent issue, we've fixed that. Please, check it out. Now, the output of the action is always a flattened PDF. Very easy to use for automating word merge process
It was very easy to add to a Power Automate workflow, simply apply the API Key then you are able to start word merging. The instructions are very clear and helpful.
CONSFor generating document in a batch, I would like the product to be able to have all the generated pages in one file rather than each document in one file. Did not find a proper way to do it though.
Reason for choosing Plumsail Documents
It is more cost effective.
