Pros/Cons
Pros
- Many thanks to them without whom we would not have the success we have. I recommend VERY HIGHLY.
- Our developers love the ease with which they can extend the framework and contribute to community.
- They are responsive and friendly. We are developing a set of bundles that allow the management of Print publications and the PimCore / Active WebToPrint solution is a great success.
Cons
- The data delivery channels can sometimes break down causing loss of time and information.
- That means that updates can be somewhat painful (ExtJs 3 to ExtJs 6, Zend Framework to Symfony). But I wouldn't say that they are any more painful than updates in competing products.
- Additionally pimcore offers an ecommerce framework which I personally have no real experience with.
Pros
- Insights is helpful, and the customer service team is fairly responsive. Once they do get back to you, they usually have the answer you are looking for which is great.
- Salsify's ability to provide a comprehensive solution that manages our expansive content management volume, with multiple vendors, is impressive.
- Overall I think this is a great tool and helps clean up processes.
Cons
- We were having a horrible time trying to keep up with content demand from dozens of retailers all with different systems.
- The vendor has a very bad level of service, it takes months to even have a conversation and get a quote.
- Missing analytics behind what retailers have all of the available content on their websites.
