Fast, easey and proffesional looking portfolio style website builder.
Before Pixpa I used Wordpress on self managed Digital Ocean plan for $5. It was fine, required much more effort to build and support the portfolio website. Few times in a year the site was down because of some unknown reason. Maybe some kind of virus or DDoS attack. I work in IT industry, but could not figure out wat is it. So decided to move to managed service. Compared multiple Website builders and Pixpa won for my needs. I am very happy with Pixpas speed, simplicity and cost.
PROSVery easy and fast to build a portfolio website. The cost of $6 (billed annually) is very reasonable. The support is fast and relyable.
CONSThere are not so many templates that I would like to see.

It was self managed service and I had issues I could not solve by myself,

The best value for money overall package for a pro photographer to maintain his own website!
I am using the service for the last five years and my experience is totally positive. I built and maintain very easily my own website and I really like the overall design and the aushthetics of the templates. For the last year i am also the author of two blogs that I am able to run directly from Pixpa.
PROSTemplates design, photo galleries design, simplicity of use, server up time, integrated blogging
CONSI don't think that they are cons, they are just some useful updates need to be done. Just add VSCO and VERO in social icons. Add central management of the photos in one place so the user can have total control of the files.
Reason for choosing Pixpa
I discovered Pixpa by "accident". Five years ago it wasn't so advertised. I guess I followed my intuition. I wanted something fresh. After five years of use I am very happy with my choice!
Reasons for switching to Pixpa
The price was very expensive for what the service offered.

My Pixpa thoughts
My site is out there, I am pleased for that, editing is easy, like that, working in the software is a struggle for me not sure why. I will persist mostly because it is inexpensive to use.
PROSWas looking for an inexpensive manner to get our recovery site on the Internet. Pixpa met that requirement. Needed it to be simple to use, on first use it seemed to be just that, simple and easy. The software did have a couple of instructional video's which were helpful. The posting of the site was well handled by my host and Pixpa, liked that.
CONSThere is not enough simple step by step instructions, the existing videos are not current to the software. There is an assumption that I as a user understand many of the terms used in website building. As the software appears to be only for Photo focused business there is little to indicate it can be used for other types of websites. I did see the potential, so went ahead with it
Reason for choosing Pixpa
Pixpa is a stand-alone software I did not need to buy WordPress or any other product. Pixpa also is less costly for our simple requirements.
