Weebly - Horrible Experience

Pros

I have very little I can say that is good about this product. I found the interface sloppy and not what I expected for a novice. I found it very limiting as to what I could do with my site. I guess for a person that just wants to put a couple of pages up with little to no functionality it's a fine option

Cons

You are very limited as to what you can do with your site. While it has some features, you are stuck with options that are very limiting for features and functionality. The interface was not as easy as I hoped it would be. I found it much harder to manage my site than I expected.

One of my favorite integration for any eCommerce site is Printful. Print on demand / dropshipping for clothing, art and housewares and Weebly builds it in too. I have built out and recommended Weebly to clients because it has worked quite well and they are constantly improving.

Pros

Weebly is a little like Square Space's kid sister. Easy to get going and hassle free. Some great integration, headache free e-commerce (well mostly) and super affordable compared to some of the big kids.

Cons

The drawbacks here, as with most drag and drop builders, is that you are trading in a bit of customization. That being said you can still get where you need to go and build out something fantastic in a short time and have your shop up and running fairly effortlessly.

Pros

I have used Weebly for personal projects and find it to be a very easy to use software. I have helped clients build websites and utilize ecommerce features within those sites. It is easy for the user to navigate.

Cons

Connecting domain names may cost a company so it is always good to look into the packages before you start a website build. Make sure you're comfortable spending the package amount and exactly what is offered in each package.

I am noticing a trend in the website builders, they are lacking key components for all of the industries. Maybe they should focus on a few industries and do them well, instead of trying to focus on all of them and doing them poorly.

Pros

1. The drag and drop feature is nice. (dual edge sword)
2. Like the simplicity of the build, pages and the theme tabs.
3. The packages that Weebly offers a great list of amenities.

Cons

1. The customer service is not really available on the option of live chat, during normal business hours. Either they need to hire additional techs or fix the bugs that are creating a issue for lack of chat support. I would say that the customer is really a big disappointment .
2. The lack of icons for a ECommerce website is disappointing.
3. The lack of the ability to utilize the header for icons or other features for a website is also disappointing.

Pros

Weebly is an excellent website creator for people who have never done this before. The drag and drop features are very convenient and easy to use. Adding photos, slideshows, headers, forms, and other content is simple. It's also easy to add contact forms so you can keep in touch with people who reach out through the site.

Cons

It's great for beginners, but can be a bit basic for those who are looking for something more advanced. On some designs/templates, you can only have a handful of tabs on the header, which isn't great for people who truly want to build up a large website.

Pros

Super easy to use. The learning curve was very short. Exactly what you want out of a Drag and drop builder. Since the basic version is free it's a great value.

Cons

I can't really say what I didn't like about the site. It did what it said it would. If you don't like the tags on the end you just need to pay to have them removed

Pros

I love the drag and drop features for my website and the stats to see how visits are going. I enjoy the integration with my phone app.

Cons

Sometimes when I design something online, it looks different (and not as good) on mobile. I wish the integration were a little better so I knew that the way I was seeing it in one place would translate to another, or that it would at least still look good and not shift formatting too much as it sometimes does.

Not being able to make modifications of our template to 100%, the impossibility of installing plugins and things of that style at first may not bother but as the months pass, this aspect begins to weigh.

Pros

Weebly has been ranked as the easiest website builder recommended by most of the web consultants. Weebly offers all basic tools that you can use for building a website or store from scratch. Weebly’s collection of templates now includes a great choice of on-trend mobile-responsive designs. Unlike Wix and Shopify Plus it lets you download the full code to your website, so you can customize it or even download it. Weebly also offers over 40 pre-designed templates to help you get started. The layouts to every type of page can be found. Weebly also enables the user to add and install more apps for your use. Weebly also lets you create a fully customizable club to which you have full control.

Cons

When using weebly’s drag and drop customization we found it to be very limited. If you use weebly after using Wix or SquareSpace you will find it’s drag and drop customization very limited. On the case releasing new features weebly has been very slow . They just upgrade two or so features in a year but now they have picked up the pace. But they are still focusing on the cutting edge technologies, rather than that they should focus on improving the friendly user. Another tiny feature that my colleague pointed out was that the blogging tools need to be improved in a very little sense but it causes a lot. The feature is that you cannot highlight or show you most recent or most popular posts first. We have sent them a message and their response time was very fast.

Pros

There's a free version, so at least you can try it first and see if you like working with it. There's also a drag n drop builder which is nice, and the paid versions are not all that expensive, but there are tiers. The admin is easy to use for the most part.

Cons

Free version has Ads, and the paid version of ecommerce actually charges you a transaction fee (I prefer to use an outside payment processor) and force you to checkout on weebly - and there are actually product limits! Besides the fact that you have to pay more for Password protection (that should be available on ALL tiers) there isn't much you can do outside of using their own templates, and if you decide to move your site, you can't take anything with you (obviously) so that's a no go... And the templates really don't look all that great either.

Cons

If you want a very professional looking site you need to upgrade and pay. I also dislike how in the free version they keep 'weebly' in your website title, because it can be somewhat offputting and unprofessional. However, from a business perspective I understand why they do that.

I use it for blogging and find it useful for this purpose. Lots of templates to choose from!

Pros

Weebly is a good platform for creating your own websites and blogs without any coding knowledge. There are good themes in it which you can select and you can also use a free version for creating websites with weebly name attached to your website URL. Also the SEO properties for weebly is good compared to others. So the website you create in weebly gets a better SEO position in Google according to my experience!

Cons

I am not happy with the application's speed and response time. The pages load slowly and it takes time to open your dashboard. This opening time should be optimized. Also the controls and buttons can be optimized and made simpler to use.
