Worked for my Wedding

Drag and drop support makes designing your site fast and easy, I literally had hits in minutes for a seemingly small site. We used the business portal tools in place of cards and receipts for digital thank yous.

Pros

All web based and e support was incredible

Cons

some features are tier locked but the pricing is reasonable

Weebly is great for beginners

I had a great experience using Weebly and suggest it to anyone looking to set up a simple e-commerce site, blog or portfolio.

Pros

I liked that Weebly was very user friendly and would show you step by step how to build your own website. I also like that they offer a free website option, as with other sites you only get a free trial.

Cons

I did not like that their were only so many templates to choose from, when I wanted things that looked more sleek in design it looked generic but that may be just my own skill set.

LOVE Weebly, easy-to-use and several customizable options

I created my first website with Weebly nearly 4 years ago and still use that same website today. Weebly has always made it easy and is always easy to customize my website the way I want it to. I'm amazed with this service!

Pros

I loved how easy it was to create my own website. The different functions allow me to showcase different things like artwork, photography, baking creations, short stories, essays, etc. The several different customization options are amazing and allowed me to make my website the way I wanted to.

Cons

Maybe more customizable options but that's a very small complaint, it's hardly one at all. Pretty much perfect.

Weebly makes it easy!

Pros

This website building software allows customization based upon the needs or purpose of the Weebly. I primarily used this as informational between my children and their teachers. The teacher was able to upload important links to connect to tutoring sign ups pages or presentations from that day's class work. It provided calendars and contact page to bridge gaps between parents and children who were learning to increase responsibility and ownership of their school work.

Cons

To get to homework assignments, a student will need to select the calendar, the assignment and wait for the calendar to upload in order to access the homework assignment instead of providing a link to direct a student to enter their work. It feels like it might be an additional step but it might be the most direct route based on the set up of the software.

Website on Weebly

I keep meaning to move my site and make it a custom design but weebly is free and so convenient I never get around to changing it.

Pros

I am a graphic designer who has had my portfolio website on Weebly for several years. It was quick and easy to create and easy to edit. I changed the design and can pop on to update my resume or add a project without any headaches. I just have the free version and it is GREAT!

Cons

Because I have the free version -- "weebly" appears in my website address. So anyone looking at it knows it's not a custom website.

Good application to create quick websites

Pros

I used Weebly as a part of couple of projects where we needed to create a platform to test a couple of things. It was easy if you are using the in-built templates, but very complicated to edit & personalize the templates.

Cons

Very complicated UI & not a very comprehensive application.

Easy Websites with Lots of Features

We used Weebly as a free tool to build our grant website and connect to other parts of our outreach plan. We didn't have a lot of money or coding know-how, and Weebly allowed us to get a website up quickly.

Pros

Weebly is a very simple website builder with a lot of built-in features and connectivity. It made it easy for my team to design our website without any coding background, and we were able to integrate pictures, calendars, and social media streams to unify all our different pieces of outreach. The website was easy to maintain and could be passed on to new hires without a lot of training.

Cons

Some of the features seemed to have some bugs. I would have to sign in over and over to keep the social media feed linked, which was frustrating and meant that sometimes the feed was down for a while before I caught it. Other editing features had some inconsistencies that required some trial and error to figure out.

Great Value!

We have been with Weebly for 10 years, and we have never been disappointed. They have always helped us present a professional website with limited time and resources.

Pros

This software has been great for us for a long time. Whether we are desiring to use a template, or make a custom page, Weebly has always worked for us. The price can't be beat either!

Cons

Editing a page with great detail can be difficult. Of course, as with any template based program, there are limits.

Website Creation for Beginners

Pros

Weebly was the first website creator software I used when I was starting to get into web development. It is a very easy website to use with a good amount of features to choose from when designing a website.

Cons

There are areas in which Weebly can improve on, if you are an advanced developer, maybe this will be too basic of a website to use, it is great for beginners.

Better than Wix

Pros

As a website designer, I have used all the platforms. Weebly isn’t terrible and provides some helpful customizations and SEO options. Much better than Wix hands down.

Cons

I dislike the lining ability to further customize and format pages. However, it works and in the long run, it is an easy one-time solution.

Easy Setup for Small Business

Document view is a very nice feature when you need to house content like catalogs.

Pros

The drag and drop web building feature means you don’t need to know coding to make a stunning website. I have used it to build a site that puts sell sheets into the hands of a sales team. Easy to build and easy to edit, and takes the hassle out of setting up an intranet or native platform.

Cons

Design option with in web templates. I wish the dividers were more intuitive and the ability to create sections within a webpage was easier. Too much goes in to creating content that is side by side.

Happy with my end product

I've tried both Weebly and Wix (competitor of Weebly). Between the two, Wix has higher customization, as compared to Weebly, which doesn't allow much flexibility to deviate from your template once it's selected. Which is the better option depends on the person. For me, I preferred Weebly as I ended up with a website that was more simple and clean.

Pros

It was intuitive to use. I didn't struggle to learn the software.

Cons

There is limited functionality when it comes to customization. At times, there were things I wanted to change from the original template that I couldn't figure out how to change.

Pros

Templates. Lots of templates. The most important thing is its responsiveness. Your website will look awesome on every device you use.

Cons

Comparing to its competitor, its feature should be improved since the other tools can do better.

I Want To Try Weebly Once My Wix Subscription Is Over

From the trial that I messed around with, I enjoyed it. I want to give this a bigger shot when my Wix subscription ends and I can have greater access to certain perks with the plans Weebly offers.

Pros

What I like the most is probably that it's tied to Square, which eases the eCommerce end of web hosting. As opposed to competitors like SquareSpace and Wix, they facilitate hosting an online shop with an app that mamny people are already very familiar with and trust.

Cons

Some templates have really weird code built into it that it can make custom website building difficult. While dragging around text and images is a great perk, I've heard that some templates end up having jumbled code that may be tricky to resolve later if you don't type notes into the code. On top of that, the website may run slower if the code isn't so efficient, affecting the traffic coming into the site.

Basic Website Developer for Basic Needs

Pros

It's super easy to use and anyone with zero experience developing a website should find this program simple to use and quite intuitive. It was the first site I was able to develop a usable site with, but there is limited functionality for more advanced development and source code access.

Cons

Because it's so easy to use, formatting problems happen often. it can be tough to get text on the same page to look the same, and it doesn't offer some of the functions competitors do for free.
