Waste management.

Environmental, social, and governance resource management is a priority for employee empowerment and the health of our patients. Velocity EHS provides features that allow us to identify and analyze patterns to develop safer work practices and prevent accidents. It is a great source of information where we can track employee training progress and avoid penalties or fines for poor practices. It has helped us implement our waste management system and classify waste types.

Pros:

It is easy to use to perform risk analysis, identify potential hazards, and establish better prevention and control measures. It helps avoid non-compliance and fines, and keeps track of each clinic's environmental performance.

Cons:

We had some initial issues with the reporting, but the support team was quick to respond and answer our questions.

I appreciate the ease of use of VelocityEHS. We have experienced very little product downtime, so the reliability has been superb.

Cons:

VelocityEHS Support can be slow which makes critical changes to the site also slow. This can inhibit a positive user experience.

Reasons for choosing VelocityEHS

The cost of Velocity was lower and a smaller business unit of ours was already using velocity.

Overall, the platform is good for basic data entry. Key reports such as TRIR, DART rate and LTIR is very easy to use.

Pros:

It’s easy to enter information such as hazard identifications and other information. The learning curve is short and the platform is intuitive.

Cons:

The reports function only provides limited information and does not allow for searching information such as searching for if specific users have completed a safety report. Also, the time frames in the reports search function is not customizable. Additionally, the reports generated from audits is not good for using in a presentation. If you have pictures, the pictures in the audit report can be rotated automatically and you cannot correct it and separated from the section where the image should be.

Reliable SDS Management With Room for Smoother Navigation

Overall, VelocityEHS has been a reliable and helpful tool for managing chemical information and ensuring compliance across multiple sites. It reduced the time spent locating SDS documents, improved accuracy when reviewing hazardous products, and supported a more consistent approach to chemical safety. While some interface areas could benefit from streamlined navigation or improved customization, the platform provided a solid foundation for hazard communication and product oversight.

I appreciated the centralized access to Safety Data Sheets across all locations, which made it much easier to confirm product details, check hazard classifications, and stay compliant. The search functionality was straightforward, and the ability to quickly pull SDS documentation helped streamline communication with staff and vendors. For multi-site organizations, the standardization and consistency were especially helpful.

Cons:

Some of the navigation pathways felt unintuitive, particularly when trying to move between product lists, SDS lookups, and location-specific inventories. A few tasks required more clicks than expected, and certain fields weren’t as customizable as would be helpful for organizations with complex or varied workflows. There were also occasional delays in SDS updates when new products were added.

The presentation was very helpful and concise. I especially appreciated how the presenter went through the steps for each item discussed.

Cons:

I was not logged in, but able to follow along with the host's screen. That was my fault, not the host's.

Almost there!

Velocity EHS had a great user interface, but the inability to make changes to the list data and lost time was a bridge too far. The list data was always changing and the costs kept escalating along with the lost time waiting for Velocity EHS to make the changes was a killer.

Administrators were unable to make changes to list data which resulted in additional costs and lost time wating for the vendor to make the requested changes.

Excellent Tool for Managing Safety Data Sheets

Very positive. Great and frequent training is offered and is also recorded to slow access at a later time so you can learn at your own pace. Also, very responsive customer service.

AI usage with the selections and suggestions. AI for the ergonomics evaluations and ease of use for non specialized employees.

Cons:

Price of the software packages. Some of the pricing gets expensive and most companies are trying to cut costs.

Overall good experience, customer service okay. Okay to use as database, but not much can be done without Accelerate functionality .

Easy to use for both user and administrator. Central database to analyze data. Send notifications to individuals for CAPAs.

Cons:

Out of the box version, can’t make edits to fields. Would love to se what Accelerate can do which will be in 2026….upgrade delayed by a year without reason
