I dislike how there are so many options that don't seem to apply to my job. I suppose this same thing happens with many positions though.

A great software for virtual stress analysis. One can save a lot of prototype cost by analysing the structures virtually.

ANSYS Fluent is the best program in the market.I think there isn't any good alternative for fluent analysis.

Overall great software whoever interested with fluid dynamics simulation.

For simulation and analysis this is the best CAD software one can go for. The Latest version is an add-on with more useful feature to ANYSYS spaceclaim enables the user to get the job done.

Setting up the boundary conditions takes a lot of planning. This software is over kill for the types of simulations I was doing.

Interface is difficult to understand at the begining.

I have used it for both thermal and mechanical analysis. There is also some useful online support from the community.

Various engineering tools for any  kind company are offered by ANSYS. It has a great training/help documents with hyperlinks which you can reach easily what you what.

We can calculate various parameters like stress, safety margin,total deformation and also helps in finding out how good mesh is.

I used the fluent of ansys product series. It is quite famous in the industry and provides very powerful solutions.

Being able to integrate existing SolidWorks files seamlessly was a great feature that saved the team a lot of time creating new models.

It is easy to use and the Ansys customer support is very helpful and responsive.

Ansys' adaptive mesh refinement does an outstanding job of meshing the geometry automatically which is great for a first pass analysis.

I used it for subsea pipelines buckling and walking analysis. Computation is easy and help page is very useful to find out the application.

It's really hard to get used to use interfaces at the beginning. User interface is really complicated.

ANSYS is a great software that can be useful for simulations.

Troubleshooting with ANSYS is very painful and the interface is a bit challenging in the beginning to get used to.

Difficult to entegrate it with a PLM program. Ergo, file management is bad.

Ansys is unique leader in FEA Simulation space at the same time license manager 17.2 with tomcat service are more stable than any licensing services.

It's already a popular software for simulation. I like the way it integrated designing tools in it and every tool has a description so that new people don't find it unfriendly to use.

It crushes during simulations after which you will have to restart all of your work.

I have used solidworks,inventor , fusion 360,but when it comes to simulation it is the best 3d modelling software. My experience quite well using this app.

The capabilities and software’s strong core to achieve complex 3D graphics. User friendly and full of tools that makes easier engineer’s job.

Maybe the cost; I was not a part of that decision but it's hard to give the same functionality to others on the team when licenses cost what they do.

High End dedicated simulation software for greater presentations.

It very capable validation software is used for engineering with having complex interface and performance failure.

Post-processing was straightforward due to the dynamic functionality of the software. Great for most projects.

It is great software if your design is simple, for complex designing you have to invest more time in it to become an expert.

I can model parts and do an assembly in the same work space and that is a very nice and effective way of doing stuff. This is a very good software fore beginners to work with.

Sometimes Fusion can behave strangely but Autodesk launches updates basically every week to fix problem or to add new features.

Excellent and life-changing. I can finally work on my ideas with extreme ease, and immediate results.

Sometimes it slows down or chrashes when working on heavy files or gives login problems once in a while.

I have been able to model and adjust many functional parts. I am pleased with how this software flows in a way that more intuitive to me than other software I have used.

As in you don't have to wait for the release sometime next year and hope for the best.

Coding itself is bad and people with coding background including myself thinks that this one software is built upon 2 different programming languages that contradict each other.

Understanding the timeline functionality can be difficult in the beginning.

There is also an active community that is great at answering questions, and a lot of YouTube tutorials put out by Autodesk and others that fully explore Fusion 360's functionality.

The cost , the features and the intuitiveness makes Fusion 360 a great 3d visualization tool. It is perfect for work and for all the 3d hobby enthusiasts.

This CAD package is very good for light use and user friendly for education.

I've used Fusion 360 for approximately 6 years and I've loved it. It's intuitive and easy to use, but powerful too.

Fusion 360 is a very good tool to get 3d models done, the interface is easy to understand and straight forward, and you get great value for what the software costs.

One of the things I love most about Fusion 360 is the seamless integration of various design tools, such as 3D modeling, 2D drawing, and simulation.

I loved the learning curve, from the beginning is clear how to create even relatively complex models. Also the sketch feature is awesome.

Overall what i enjoyed the most was version control feature and the electronic design feature integrated into the software.

Great if your design is more simple, or if you are an expert in this specific software, and you want to collaborate live with a team on a design.

Fusion is a little confusing and needs earlier experience on any 3d modelling or cad software in order to use this.

Fusion 360 had been really easy to learn and easy to use. The ability to have updated geometry transfer to existing geometries is super helpful.

I couldn't be more thrilled with it. Being an SME, it is offered on an annual basis free of charge.

Customer service is fantastic and very prompt. They do a very good job of making sure that you are integrating to exactly your needs.

Its a great software for rapid prototyping and product development. Being a cloud based software is the most extreme advantage.

3D modeling in Fusion 360 is a wonderful experience as I have designed products ranging from medical equipment to automotive technology to household tools and even industrial machine parts with ease.

Overall, it is worth the price of admission and is a great package to have with features that far out weigh the competition.

The main advantage versus his main competitor (Sketchup) are the fabrication functions. For a maker with an interest in CNC and/or 3D printing, it can be the perfect software.
