### Most mentioned pros

- Having the ability pull in datafeeds in the targeting criteria, the ability to message preview and test send, are all important features that make Braze well worth using.
- Overall, Braze gave us the tools to move faster, target smarter, and communicate more effectively with our users. Once we were fully up and running, it became a core part of our customer engagement stack.
- It really does minimize the time needed for your run of the mill journey or drip campaigns and when you are ready to level up your messaging it also has everything you need.

### Most mentioned cons

- Currently, the email needs to be created and managed in the campaign or canvas directly where sometimes it becomes difficult to manage incase of complex journeys where multiple peoples are working on the same canvas.
- The platform can be overwhelming at first, especially for newer team members who face a steep learning curve when navigating the product with various features.

Has been great overall. Has made a huge impact on our business and still have some work to do to continue to improve that.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Easy to use - UI is intuitive, support is great and super helpful. Bonfire community is also a great resource.

#### Cons

The reporting on some features seems a bit glitchy / buggy. They only allow retargeting from certain campaigns after 3 months and I find you need a fairly in depth understanding of how things work in order to avoid race conditions. We've had some turnover with our CSMs, which I think slows progress a bit.

#### Reasons for choosing Braze

The UI and sales experience was better. More expensive, but seemed easier to use and for a team of one, that was important to me!

### Abrazing! This platform makes things a breeze

Braze has been great to switch to and learning the platform has been pleasurable, it's great to see things on the product road map being implemented and the customer success support is top tier.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Braze provides great flexibility in canvas settings and I like the ability to switch between drag and drop building to html building. The liquid is clean and efficient, and AI liquid assistant is helpful. The ability to test a canvas before setting live is also great, previous martech platforms I have used do not have this functionality. The user interface is clean and the use of different canvas and campaign tabs (like you have on an internet browser) is a great way at effectively working through different canvases at a time.

#### Cons

The learning platform is great however it is hard to navigate and understand what modules are available/make up which courses. I would like to see improvement on the structure of the learning portal as the content itself is great. I do not like when trying to switch between canvas tabs, if you click on one to navigate to a different canvas too quickly after hitting 'save' it does not in fact save and you lose your work

#### Reasons for switching to Braze

Increase of functionality, ability to create multi channel and customer focused campaigns

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Braze is its strong combination of flexibility and user-centric design. braze’s real-time data streaming and event-based triggers make it easy to act on user behavior instantly, which is crucial for timely, relevant messaging. The integration capabilities with other tools in the ecosystem (e.g., CDPs, analytics platforms, cloud storage) are also seamless and extensive.

#### Cons

reporting could be more flexible- while standard performance metrics are available, creating custom dashboards or exporting certain types of insights sometimes requires workarounds or external tooling

#### Reasons for switching to Braze

Due to the limitation of that application....

I think it's a very flexible tool that allows teams of all sizes and tech capabilities to send communications to their userbase. You can use it for simple campaigns, but you can also set up some interesting campaigns and journeys using webhooks and content blocks. Allows a high level of personalization, with programatic set up.

#### Cons

I think the tool has improved a lot in the last two years, specially when it comes to the Journeys (canvas) and its possibilities, which was the biggest con in the past for me.

#### Reasons for choosing Braze

More flexible product and ease of use is the best out of the options.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

One of my favorite things about Braze is they work to adapt their product to our business use cases - whether or not the feature already exists or not! Plus, they are always helpful in creating a work around for our unique asks/campaigns. Additionally, the UI is by far the most user-friendly of any customer engagement platform I've ever used.

#### Cons

One thing that has been challenging with Braze is the reporting structure/feature. Within the UI, it can be challenging to customize dashboards and get the information we want pulled out of the campaigns.

My overall experience with Braze has been decent. While the platform offers robust features for segmentation and personalization, certain limitations like the content card size cap can be frustrating. Still, it's a reliable tool for marketing automation.

We are using CRM to retain customers on our wireless service using email and SMS messaging. WE personalize communications based on profile attributes, lifecycle stage, and behaviors to maximize LTV. We're just getting started on the platform but it has just about all the important features I was expecting and then some.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Built in AB testing features; easy drag and drop template building with interchangeable content blocks; versatile segment builders; native integrations with data clouds; Journey builder does everything I need; reporting checks the box. Native SDK makes tracking user interactions across touch points (web, app) very easy to implement and maintain. Dynamic content syntax is quite intuitive and user-friendly for non-coders.

#### Cons

The cost is something we will need to keep an eye on; I can definitely see how tracking a lot of engagement events in a growing customer base is going to spike costs and possibly exceed our contract. Onboarding happens with a third party vendor, who is not as proactive, knowledgable or committed to our success as they could be. (Had a better experience with onboarding at Iterable both times.) This is Also, when we got started, the ability to clone templates and content blocks between projects was not available but they just launched that new feature. I also wish it was easier to preview the list of users in a segment - you have to download the list of people in the audience for a reliable preview, the preview tool that's built in doesn't always show everyone and sometimes it doesn't show anyone at all due to the way it seems to sample from the list.

#### Reasons for choosing Braze

I've been a happy Iterable user for years now, but when I recently joined a new high-growth company, I evaluated them vs Braze and chose Braze mostly because I was curious about it, and because of the more robust out-of-the-box AB testing features and the template builder. It's just me running CRM so I needed the platform to do heavy lifting with drag and drop template design that looks first-class, easy data integration and without any analytics support. I was also curious about Braze and so far, it measures up to Iterable and does a few things better. Overall, I'd consider them comparable and Iterable might be a better choice for cost reasons for some organizations, if you plan to track boat loads of user interactions in app and on your web site to feed back to your CRM. In our case, the interactions we plan to track are pretty moderate so I felt safe taking the plunge, but we'll see how it pans out as the user base grows and tracking use cases grow with it. OVerall you won't go wrong with either one though, and even with native cloud data integrations, you'll still need support from Data Engineering either way.

In order to communicate with its members in a more effective and particular way, we can incorporated new ways to communicate with its members. We are now able to increase our overall engagement and can also expand our speeches in order to refine them. We also use the website to conduct questionnaires to learn more about our members. As a result, Braze is very intuitive: the navigation is easy and makes sense. The surface is very firm, so it is simple to execute strategies effectively and in a thoughtful way.

#### Pros

The customer service is truly admirable. They are responsive and respond to everything that is thrown at them in a timely and accessible manner. You have missed what you have not been able to fix, either in the form of experimenting on the platform or through your study tools. The customer service staff is wonderful. I can only praise the totality of the people we have dealt with since we started using Braze. They ask good questions and help guide us in the use of the product as we talk to them. They also answer any number of questions when we launch a new/complex campaign.

#### Cons

There were certain tricky parts during the application, however, the Braze group was of great assistance in supporting us.
