I have been using Gammadyne Mailer probably for 10 years or more. It really is a full-functioned mailing program. There is a significant learning curve, but once you have set it up, it works by itself. Over the years, I have had occasion to ask Greg W. questions via email. If you're a DIY user, Gammadyne Mailer is an excellent choice. Sure it might be a little slower sending than a cluster of dedicated mail servers, and you need to learn the features that are important to you, but you won't feel ripped off by some service provider. Everything that I was looking for in an ESP I found Gammadyne could do. Invest in understanding how email lists work, and you'll have a very valuable tool that's going to save you a lot of money. Plus you'll keep control of your lists, manage your own sender reputation, and feel more accomplished and connected to your audience. It's the difference between hiring a promoter and learning to build loyalty on your own. It takes a little effort on your part, but the result is you understand and adjust to make your email programs much more meaningful (both internally and externally) and more likely to be read by your audience. Being hands-on with email is way better than using a service provider. The mistakes you make will teach you how to be a better communicator.

You have to learn the mechanics of how email sending actually works instead of being hands-off and just pressing "go."

It works, most of the time, but then it doesn't and you lose stuff. It does seem user friendly at the beginning.

You know how well Outlook works? Well this has a similar track record. It's not my favorite product, and most of my contractors have fits with it.

I've been using Gammadyne Mailer for at least 10 years now. Although I use only a relative handful of the myriad capabilities of this amazing software, its depth of features I find astounding. It is easy-to-use for those of us with simpler needs, but capable of the most complex operations I could ever imagine for those who might require them. My analogy is that it is a Cray Supercomputer built so it can also do simple spreadsheets, word processing and browsing the web as well as handle the most complex calculations anyone could want to do. I've spent a lot of time studying its full range of abilities, only because I find it fascinating. Being a software junkie in service of making my life at work easier, I've found and used a number of great work task problem-solvers. In my opinion, I have never used any software that upgrades so meaningfully. Each upgrade has either made something better (incl. bug fixes) , added something valuable for someone, or made it easier for me to use. Last thoughts on my part, is the documentation. Their documentation is more than extensive and clear, and I have never had to call the company to find a solution to my question or problem. Even though I've never called or written the company for support I gave it 5 stars. I just assume what that will be like based on the care that has gone into the program itself. I've been using Gammadyne Mailer for nearly as long as I've been operating LocalWineEvents.com over 16 years. I can honestly say that I could not have done what I've done without it. To this day, it is an absolutely essential piece of our operation. Very little trouble over the years and when I had a question, the support was (and still is) extremely helpful. We use Gammadyne for all out bulk email sends and incoming processing. It's integrated with our own systems and we have used it extensively for over 12 years. We've had the odd addition to the software to suit our own needs and have always found it robust and capable. It delivers millions of emails every week and reliably handles the incoming leads, unsubscribes and bounces to keep things running smooth.

We need to send promotional emails now and then for various conferences, webinars and special offers. Gammadyne does everything we need and much more. Ease of creation of HTML emails--check. Specify Amazon simple email servers--no prob. Simple personalization--rodger. Extensive logging--check. Email job scheduling--check. Granted we use maybe 30% of the product's capabilities, but it's nice to know that click-tracking, list management and other cool features are ready for us to exploit. I am also glad to have software that we license outright, rather than having to track usage or subscription costs with other services.

It's pretty easy to set up while being quite flexible. For us, it's ideal for our project uses.

The interface design is a bit old school, but it does not affect its functionality in the least.

Speed of sending emails is quite good. Personalisation of the emails encourages feedback from recipients.

Ability to test different aspects of the software functions. Ability to use variables to personalize email texts-. The ability to hook up to an Access database and update certain fields (Date email sent). Ability to segment send list via database clauses. Ability to send emails through various email servers.

I find the learning curve a bit steep, but I usually find the answer I am looking for in the documentation. which is clear and well structured.

I am the network technician for our company and work with our sales and marketing team to send our mailers. The program works well for sending out bulk email without a great deal of complication. The feature I like best is that once I have set the SMTP server settings I do not have to copy or recreate them for each mailer I send, only need to adjust the mailer list itself. I find that the program works best if you create the mailer from within the program creation tools. When we have tried to import from a program such as Dreamweaver I have found the mailers do not display correctly for the recipient. Overall the product works well, but it is not for everyone.

Does not seem to support 3rd party software very well. Our company uses Dreamweaver for WEB design and the software does not display well.

I use the mailer for lots of different functions, usually to email to addresses stored in a database. The ability to easily use all the data stored allows me to structure individual emails as customized for each recipient as though I'd written it from scratch by hand.

Sometimes, it is a bit harder to find what I'm looking for in the documentation. BUT, the more I deal with it the better it gets.

Combined with a database this is a great tool and even a selling feature of services with this tool embedded!

Great price, great value! Love how easy it is to use and input text, images, links, etc into the email body. We have started automatically emailing out monthly and quarterly reports, saving us time and money!

Thus far, there hasn't been anything that I have disliked about the program.

Gammadyne Mailer is a very versatile tool for email automation. It has the ability to process sign-ups, opt-outs, and bounce-backs. The software interface is a bit crowded and looks ancient but it's quite intuitive to browse. It still does not support native Microsoft protocols to connect Office 365 or Exchange instead you should turn on POP or IMAP to connect these services. Overall this is a very good product with low price.

I have been using Gammadyne Mailer for over 10 years, accross two different businesses. The features offered are amazing. We have evaluated other Mailer software, but never found anything as powerful as Gammadyne. Although the interface has a bit of a learning curve, once you get the hang of it it's easy to navigate. The most powerful feature is by far the database connectivity. Again, not for the novice, the connectivity allows us to manage the lists centrally within a database, as well as log a variety of different variables. Definately worth a try!
