Must have for a successful team

Pros

Thanks to user-friendly interface it is easy to train a new worker and show how to use the app. I also appreciate that I can customize my reports and dashboards because it makes my work more manageable, as well as communication with my coworkers. With this app, all team members can see what everyone is doing and who is responsible for what. Workfront helps marketing teams, agencies, and other departments manage their chaotic workloads. This software allows people to work on different projects, discuss their work and keep everything under control. If you are looking for an app, that will keep your team organized and workflow smooth — you need to install Workfront. This way you can monitor work, create tasks for your team and approve projects of your company without even being in the office. It seems to me that the cost of the application may seem high only for those who manage a small team consisting of just a few people. In other situations, the price is fully justified, if we recall all the possibilities that it provides. So complain about the cost as for me there is no point.

Cons

Though I mentioned intuitive interface of Workfront, the calendar feature is very hard to understand. I was unable to use it properly. Also, if you want to integrate this app with other software, for example, Box or Google Drive, you can face many issues.

WorkFront

Pros

WorkFront creates a simple environment to run and manage projects. It is very simple to upload client lists and other requests that might need to happen. It also very easily pulls together data after some configuring so that you are able to have a dashboard that helps your teach more effectively.

Cons

Like any system, the initial rolling out process feels foreign and wrong, but their team really helped us learn how to use the system and took the time to answer questions about why the program is the way it is.

Pros

I like that we could set different roles to accounts. Not everyone needed to be a regular user or an administrator so those different levels were useful.

Cons

We do a lot of time tracking. At the time of using this software, we didn't have that feature which made it difficult or more tedious to keep track of time to appropriately invoice users.

Easy Project management and workflow

Pros

I loved the openness of the platform. Had a solid API to integrate with other components within our department.

The ease of use was critical to user adoption by our group. One training session and the use base was off and running and updated.

Dashboard and reporting were exactly what executive stakeholders needed to see and enriched our status meetings

Cons

What i liked least was the integration it was kind of trial by fire. At the time workfront wasnt assistting in any integrations, but for our company to inregrate we had to learn some new code but once we figured it, it became a foundation to build other integrations.

Workfront Great for 'Doers' to monitor their KPI's

Great product!

Pros

This software works great to track your KPI's and to update and monitor your progress on any assignments that are assigned to your and projects you are working on. For simple to-dos and assignments and tasks, etc. it's really effective with a pick list of choices to choose from to update the status, upload files, log hours work, comment, etc. and inform business stakeholders requesting on the progress of a given workfront request. For more thorough projects, it is very detailed and shows the workflow broken down if you know how to set expectations with Project Management tools following the process of PMI (Project Management Institute) or that of the project management profession itself and along the lines of the PMP; such as float and slack time, dependencies on tasks for deliverable's, critical paths, etc.

Honestly it's a great tool and I highly recommend it. I use it daily and as long as you take the time to learn and use the tool lit'll help your organization and employees to better manage their workloads in Workfront. For me, it helps track my KPI's and deliverables for various stakeholders and business leaders.

Cons

It can be a bit complex at first, especially if you don't have any training. Like anything newly learned, it takes time and if you're not experienced with project management software you may find yourself in a bit of frustration using it.

Workfront is a solid collection of project management and collaboration tools. It matches most competitors feature-for-feature and has a consistent and easy to use interface. They have worked hard to make it scale for larger companies and to support agile as well as waterfall workflows - with varying levels of success. It is clearly aimed at marketing agencies, but I've used it successfully for development teams as well.

Cons

Workfront is at its heart a waterfall project management tool and carries this throughout the product design. The agile features are workmanlike and not nearly as robust as "agile-native" management tools. It is also difficult to automate, due in large part to the fact that it doesn't have any native integrations with tools like Zapier, Funnel, and other data/automation systems.

Overall, this is a fine project management tool that would benefit from some refinement to wrangle user options.

Pros

Online proofing markup system. Project organization, management, and status updates. Direct communication with managers, etc. File sharing. Job history and archiving.

Cons

A little clunky and possibly confusing. Some users input task information in the "Notes" section instead of marking-up the proofs. Important info can be overlooked this way, causing errors and misunderstandings. Also, some comments appear as tasks when there is no further work to be done.

What is more, they are open to new suggestions and ideas, and ready to get better at things. Technical support will always help you resolve all issues as they become available. But with the solution of the problem you will need to wait, because there are a lot of requests, and the processing goes in turn.

Be prepared to get a lot of email notification so that your inbox will always be cluttered. And, for sure, customer support could be better and faster, because for now, I fix many problems by myself without using help from tech support.

Pros

I like the collaborative aspect of the software. It is easier to track changes, updates than others I've used. Time capturing is fairly easy.

I would like the reporting options expanded. It would be nice to customize reports more with all the data it captures.
