I think it is the best software package available for PCB design. Highly recommend if it's within budget.

It is pricey and need to pay every year ; it is not a license where you buy it once, you have it ; As you can parameters everything, it is overwhelming sometime.

Very positive and user friendly with an adequate online community and support to find specific options and features for users who do not use Altium daily.

The company has made several questionable market decisions in the past 5 years that makes me uncertain if their upper management really understands how their users use their product.

It is a great Schematic PCB design tool that lets you generate complex designs with access to a pre-made library so one can start ECAD immediately and is inexpensive.

Also, it provides more flexible tools for PCB design which helps beginners to learn the software quickly. I recommend Altium designer for anyone who is interested in electronic circuit design.

Altium designer is the best PCB designer for beginners as the learning process of this software is pretty much straightforward. Both schematic and PCB design interfaces are easy  to handle.

Altium has always been a very easy software to learn and has had a rich suite of features suitable for basic to quite high-level design.

At first a little difficult to handle since it has many functions. When you have a very large circuit the auto routing does not work very well.

Overall it has been possible to get designs completed but has taken much more time because of the massive user interface and poor documentation of the program.

Also integrating all areas of manufacturing from sourcing components to mechanical integration. Much of this is not useful for a small company and even a hindrance.

Works well with Solidworks suites and now with Solidworks PCB and Connector. General purpose ECAD tool for single and multi-layer board design.

Easy integration with desktop application and online viewer.

The thing I liked most about this software is it allows you to design and model PCBs and its very user friendly and easy to learn.

I do not like using Altium, but I do believe it is a good program for profession schematic and PCB design.

Compared to other products out there in the market this is a great tool and the price is also reasonable.

PCB layout editor is excellent with intelligent and relatively intuitive controls and behaviour.

Has the ability to work in several layers is very complete and integrates the 3D view so you can place any 3D object in your design and make your presentation as real as possible.

I would recommend it for both simple designs and also more complex multi layered board designs, it handles everything well and is also very easy to use.

There are too many ways of completing the same task. Collaboration (multiple engineers on the same design) is poorly defined and prone to lost data.

As a relatively heavyweight piece of software, startup times are slow and file access can be sluggish, especially if working on a network.

Generally very positive, easy to use for mid level designs and good price.

Also, how to add/change polygon pour vertices changes all the time and it drives me nuts.

Product support is poor in comparison to major competitors.

I work as a librarian and this program is one of my favorite. It's easy to use and the 3d feature is very nice.

Ease of use was excellent, learning curve was good and manipulation of components a breeze compared to our previous PCB design CAD. Three updates within the year we have been using Altium.

Overall Altium is one of best PCB design software I've ever used.

Altium is a very powerful schematic and PCB layout software. It is full of features to help make your designs more professional and really, just better designs period.

I would recommend it to somebody in a professional electronics environment at a large scale company.

There are so many features that it is hard to do basic things. The parts library interface is difficult to understand.

The only downside is disconnecting with the server a couple of times a week in the middle of projects.

Overall this software is a great tool for PCB designs.

Creo makes assemblies much better than any other software I've used. I love how the GUI is set up for modeling.

It's quite good program for large assembly files like 80+ products. It's really easy to manage big and complicated assembly files.

It is hard to use initially but get used to it after some time. It is also hard to use the interface for curvature surface.

Automation has limitation as it follows less programing /API integartions.

Great software and highly recommended. I use it for various modelling purposes and have enjoyed using this product.

The features which are available in CREO are pretty good and simple to use. The coordinates can be easily defined in respective axis in creo.

No face to face training. All on line is NOT the way to educate Engineers.

By far the most stable CAD application I have ever used.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but for some reason, my wire drawings sometimes make the program crash and this can be very distracting / infuriating.

The Windchill software is very clunky and difficult to use. The online resources aren't easily searchable, and it can be difficult to learn.

Easy to understand interface, you can create new products without many complications, with integrated high performance tools.

Bad product tree structure. Frequent data saving problems.

CREO is easy to use, friendly for beginners and the scalability of the software is very high and definitely worth for money.

It integrates with WindChill database and it is easy to control the drawing versions with co-workers.

I like it since it a parametric CAD programme & very powerful. You can use rendering features to make your design look great & it offers you a lot of feature to design different shapes.

Over 25 years using Pro/Engineer 7.0 to Creo 4 - Loved the robustness.

I can say though other tools are easy to learn and might seem low cost, they might not match the robustness of the Creo in terms of 3D modelling of complex geometries as well as large assemblies.

The software is very hard to use. There is nothing intuitive about how to model using Creo.

A meshing view is highly demanded in the new versions of creo.

Software user interface is old styled , its confusing to connect with the database , file size of generated model is high.
