MultiDev Review
POS is super easy. Ease of navigation and use of the HO/SF is somewhat cumbersome. We find the MultiDev family to be a committed partner in the success of our business processes!

Great Potential but Falls Short of Potential
We purchased ChainDrive over 8 yrs ago as a replacement for a current POS/ERP system we were currently using. The main reasons for purchase were POS replacement, dynamic reporting, replenishment, OTB, and CRM management (loyalty, targeting, etc). Unfortunately, the reporting is the only feature that seemed to improve over our previous ERP system. That being said, the terms, labels, and layout are not commonly used in the retail environment. The data also has to be checked and "rerun" periodically to be correct. We have never been notified of version updates. Any updates have been researched and pursued from our end. Many of the things that never worked, like replenishment, were promised to work after a version upgrade but still never did. OTB is a "different" set of numbers than the reporting data and can vary greatly based on activity other users input or change on the hierarchy or product side. It causes great issues for us as some members of our team use the Stats reports and others use OTB data and can be going off of different numbers. Also, very few support center associates understand OTB and tickets can take months to resolve or respond to. In truth, the issues I have listed are also mostly viewed as our company grumbling about things that is "our fault" or our job to fix. The lack of customer focus or care from a higher level is disappointing at best. Having extensive experience with ERP systems over 30 years, both large and small, I would not recommend this software to other retailers. It is designed, in my mind, without end user consideration or feedback.

We are with Multidev since 15 years and we are happy, they are always there if we need them, the services and support are very good.

Great User Friendly Software
ChainDrive is a very intuitive, user friendly software. I've had great experiences dealing with the customer support team, they are very responsive and walk you through any issues with ease. Keep up the good work!

Chaindrive feedback
Not overly impressed with the support post deployment. We were told there would be a second level of training for advanced reports and features once we had settled in and grown comfortable with the system. We have asked repeatedly for this next step in the training, but we were told it does not exist. Often times when we submit support emails, the person responding has not taken the time to read the content of the email. They call and ask us to tell them what's wrong. We always make sure to send detailed emails with an explanation of the issue, supported by screen shots.
PROSIt makes easier to manage our inventory.
CONSReports are often incorrect or doesn't match from one day to the next. We find working the reports very difficult because no one has been able to explain exactly how to use each report the way we want, which was something we were told would be provided.

Sorry I can't give you a better review, but we do have functional issues with the program and we have issues with your support desk. We often send complete backup information when we call support with an issue, but they never read our supporting documentation. This is a waste of our time to have to repeat ourselves and often it's harder to put into words what we can show in screen shots. Hoping for an improvement in your support department.

The transition from the old Chaindrive to the new system was long and there are still issues.
The reports are more detailed There are more functions that are very useful in the employee maintenance section and standard reports (automatic report generation and emailing capabilities). However, since we do not use Chaindrive for accounting purposes, there are a lot of features that we cannot comment on.
CONSCreating a PO manually is not nearly as easy as it used to be. Now products have to be imported and associated with a PO otherwise the matrix is empty. The receiving module is more confusing The introduction of more logic to the new system, while it should be a good thing, has caused problems with revising a product that already exists. I cannot update/revise a product if it is already in the system whereas before I could. Searching for a customer name/purchases made by a customer is much harder to find. I used to be able to pull a sales report by customer much easier and faster

We have used Chaindrive now for 8 years and it's been very reliable and functional for our needs.
It does what it's supposed to do without extra stuff added that we don't need

Cutting Edge Tech
Although not as well known as some of the "Big" names in ERP solutions, it offers all of the functionality and much more. All of this at a fraction of the big name pricing.
PROSFully Intergrated Solution, no need for add-on modules Handles all aspects of my business,end-to-end. Provided custom modifications to me our special requirements. Totally scalable. Offers cutting edge tools such as OTB, Store Budgeting and Mobile Marketing in addition to a full ERP solution for retailers between 10 and 130 stores. The company has a sound and comprensive Implementation Methodology which successfully quided the implementation.
CONSDid not offer a complete web-engine. However, they did supply a fully functional e-commerce gatework that works well with my web provider
