Best Event Management System Out There
Blackthorn is amazing. It's easy to integrate into Salesforce Marketing Cloud and fields within the Salesforce CRM that we use. We easily have automated journeys so folks get a 10 day and a 2 day out reminder for events and if they no show they get an email about future events. Blackthorn has so many customizable features. We especially love how you can make custom forms and fields that we can have write back to our crm!
CONSIt was hard to learn all our custom features at once, but we had lots of support! Eventually we got staff so trained on it, that they have become our go to for any questions or issues. I am now one of those people for the various departments to contact when their event hasn't posted to an event group/webpage they want or other issues!

Uggg... the only good thing about Blackthorn is the idea of it
BT has had very customer service in my opinion and non-existent client support.
PROSI love the idea of a registration system that sits within Salesforce.
CONSIn my experience the software is so buggy, features and constantly breaking, there is no support even though we've paid thousands of dollars for premium support. We had a huge event in October and the registration page just wouldn't load. It took days to resolve. The auto confirmation email feature is currently broken going on two weeks and BT has finally scheduled a call with us after email after email hounding them about the problem.
Reason for choosing Blackthorn Events
We chose this product because it is the only event app that sits within Salesforce. However, we spend so much time trying to work around bugs and poor integration with SF campaigns that there is no time savings by using this product. We actually waste more time trying to get support on product flaws, bugs, SF integration problems, etc. than if we were to manually reconcile event registration and attendance in SF.
