GolfStatus - your website services and support staff ROCK!

We have nothing but fantastic things to say about GolfStatus and all of the staff we have had the privilege of working with. Overall, they make sure you are taken care of and feel like a top priority to them. I cannot recommend them enough!

PROS

4 key points for us about this software: 1) The customer service is on point for GolfStatus. I think any question we have had has been answered within a 10 minute window and the staff has went above and beyond to make sure we understand things and are taken care of. 2) The appearance of the website: the interface is clean and direct. It's pretty simple to understand for users (and once you get the hang of it, the back end is pretty good as well!) 3) Setting things up: This is made easy for almost anyone to do. We love the features! 4) Payment: The site being tied to Stripe has made our lives so much easier! I cannot begin to talk about how many hours the website has saved us as a team in organizing the event.

CONS

There really are no big cons we can think of. If I was nitpicking it all, I would say there are some reports that could be easier to pull / run for the event -but that's really nitpicking at it.

Makes the impossible possible

I don't know the firt thing about golf tournaments and GolfStatus makes it possible to run a successful event. The website is super user friendly and literally does it all for you. We've used GolfStatus for our event for the last two years and it's been wonderful!

PROS

First, the customer service is outstanding. Any question or problem I have, they help quickly and efficiently. I love that it's a one stop shop - register for a team, purchase add ons, sign up as a sponsor. I love the ability to look at payout reports. The options of how to view and download the data is great.

CONS

Sponsors are asked up upload their images but they aren't high enough quality to use for signage. This means we have to ask for another logo from our sponsors. There is also no good way to download the images from GolfStatus. Last year we had the complaint that the website didn't work properly with browsers other than Chrome. As a Chrome user, I didn't notice and I don't believe we had complaints this year, but I wanted to note it in case it still needs addressed.

Using Formstack meant I had to create all the forms from scratch. GolfStatus was plug and play, flawless!

Fundraising? Look no further!

What used to take hours of data mining in excel is now painless and available in one easy to use website. We will now be able to communicate with our golfers and export contact lists directly from golf status allowing us to eliminate so many steps. Golf Status believes in giving back. The non-profit side is incredible. We were able to receive our tournament income right away with no fees on the back end. Overall a great experience.

PROS

I loved the ease of use and the responsive team members at Golf Status. They helped us prepare the website and get communication out to our golfers and sponsors. Included with the app are branded and team specific cart signs, score cards, alpha lists, and so much more. On tournament day I felt more prepared than I ever had in my 5 years of planning this tournament.

CONS

I would love the ability to export reports in a variety of file formats. We also learned that flighting should take place prior to the tournament going live. This was a first year mistake, but it didn't impact play or the overall outcome of the tournament. We were able to recover and get prizes and flight info out still in minutes.

Reasons for switching to GolfStatus

Last year, Eventbrite charged us hundreds of dollars to obtain the money collected for our charity tournament. It was time to look for something that supported our mission.

Great for Small Non-Profits New to the Golf Fundraising Sphere

Very impressed with customer service I received from [SENSITIVE CONTENT], he was patient and helped me alot with this first year tournament we threw. I think its a great platform to keep all your event information in one place.

Ability to keep all tournament sponsorship, registration and donations in one place, easy to download and print out reporting, clean and easy to read registration page, excellent customer service

CONS

back end is a bit challenging for a first time user, alot of different sections to navigate on back end, wish push notification was more developed and also that we were informed from the start that you cannot use with other live scoring software (best to check with golf course first)

Outstanding Product and Customer Service

I have an overwhelming positive experience. We worked with [sensitive content hidden] for the 2nd year in a row. He was ALWAYS available to answer our many questions and the man is extremely professional and patient. Big reason we came back to GolfStatus. Also, the product works very well and have no reason to look outside of their services. Well done!

PROS

The site is so easy to use for the end user and the admin user. I have everything I need via the web or the app. I received so many compliments on the ease of use for our supporters. I couldn't be happier.

CONS

I would encourage you to look at the live scoring option a little easier to use. For instance, the "back and forward" arrows don't seem to work when you press with your finger on the phone. It was a bit clunky, but ultimately did work. The check-in and play option was a bit confusing to a new user. Maybe color code them a bit better for people just wanting to play asap.

Love GolfStatus!

Wonderful! Thank you for providing excellence service at a very low cost. It's so helpful for non-profit organizations like ours.

PROS

GolfStatus has made executing our charity golf tournament so much easier! Pros: Quick customer service and assistance when needed. Also like the "donate" button on the website; we used this as a QR code for our Raise the Paddle during our dinner and we raised over $6,000 using it!

CONS

Resizing company logos; however, it has improved a lot from last year, which I appreciate!

Golf Outing Made Easy

Great Software to steam line golf tournament planning

The biggest problem GolfStatus solved was automating the registration and payment process. It helped make that a lot less manual and alleviate the stress of chasing payments. It also made the event a lot more professional in my opinion.

PROS

The best features of the website were being able to register and pay online easily and be able to track teams, sponsorships, etc. I really liked the reports that were easy to generate such as scorecards, cart signs, player lists and more that saved me time on the back end. It was a nice feature to have the ability to pass on processing fees to participants so it does not take away from money for the fundraiser. I also cannot say enough about the customer service. Every time I had a question my account manager (Paul) promptly got back to me and was very helpful. In our post-event follow up, I shared by feedback and ideas to enhance the website further and it seemed like a lot of my ideas were already in the works so GolfStatus is constantly looking to improve and add new features such as invoicing, easier logo uploading, etc. that will make this an even better product in the future.

CONS

I wish there was a section I could add notes such as "paid by check, comping tee-sign, etc." I think some of the challenges for me was that there were still a good amount of people that wanted to pay check so I had to manage two systems (GolfStatus and a Google spreadsheet) which was time consuming. With the ability to send invoices in the future, hopefully that will be solved. I would like to see a tab where you are able to manage tee-signs in the future (i.e. company name, logo received, sign created, etc.)

Make Planning and Running Your Golf Fundraiser Hassle Free

Excellent from start to finish. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and team delivered in every way from the first demo, to having a useable live registration page up and running in short order. Every question along the way was answered in a very timely manner. Can't imagine a better experience especially given this was the first fundraiser golf event I've ever run.

PROS

GolfStatus platform is exactly as advertised. It takes the challenging, behind the scenes planning, tracking, and fundraising (and collecting!) and makes it a simple, significantly less stressful process. The technology itself, for me as an ADMIN, for the Golf Professional the "day of", and the end user agreeing to play and support, is very simple, intuitive, and user friendly.

CONS

First time user and frankly can't come up with anything to "improve" it!

Golf Status helped our non-profit club with our annual golf event!

We are a non-profit club that has turnover of our board members every few years, so using a software to manage our golf outing fundraiser makes sense. Golf Status is a local company for us, so it felt good to support local and they didn’t disappoint. They were available for live chat, virtual meetings, and phone calls when needed. They checked in with us at the right times and always offered support. The fees for hosting our event and managing the finances were reasonable, and I’m expecting my payout in a few days. I was very impressed with their Team and their Product, it’s perfect for our type of club.

PROS

The Golf Status software had a really nice learning curve and is very intuitive and easy to use after a few sessions. Rearranging teams and sponsors is really simple, updating team info and scores was easy. Overall the software and their support was wonderful and we’ll definitely use it for future events.

CONS

I feel like if there were any Cons with the software I’ve forgotten about them because the Pros with the software were numerous.

Driving in the digital world.

Game changer. Golf Status allowed my golf tournament to fundraise quicker AND easier than before. Gone are the days of sending out forms and printing. Having a digital footprint for an event is a true saver as a fundraiser.

PROS

Having an "always on" brochure or website allowed my event to constantly be open to new and existing patrons. Having the ability to wake up, and have someone look at your event and also register, because they were able to immediately understand and know what was happening, without having to call or email anyone.

CONS

Overall it was super easy to understand and maneuver. If I had to say one thing i would just like as a manager of the software push through payment when I wanted. Instead of having to get a hold of someone at the company.

Golf Outing and Fundraising Software at its Best!

PROS

We love using GolfStatus for our annual Purpose Driven Golf Day and Fundraiser. It's easy to set up, the costs are affordable, service and help are great, and the scoring app saves us tons of time at the event.

CONS

Features that could be improved are the email communications from the software. Limited number of characters allowed needs to be increased.

Golf Status Review

Will continue to work with this product. Very simple to learn, admins work with you to find solutions that may not be available in current product.

PROS

Ease of use. Flexibility for different types of formats. Customer service is knowlegable and very quick to respond.

CONS

Not quite as customizable as we would like.

We had used this product for a year for a few of our events on a no charge basis. When we had to move to a new platform, this was an easy choice as it covered the majority of our needs.

Easy To Use

This is our second year working with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team. Everyone is extremely helpful and courteous. The ease of being able to assign sponsors, upload sponsor information, follow teams that have registered online along with being able to add my own teams that will pay later is great.

I like the fact that I can look up teams/players that have registered and paid themselves or add teams as I need who will pay later.

Best Golf Tournament Platform for Non-profits!!!

We will definitely be using GolfStatus for our tournament next year. Overall the site, app and support has made the tournament planning process so much more efficient! Being a nonprofit with a limited staff, this platform was a lifesaver and allowed us to put on such a successful event in a very short window. I can't recommend this product and team enough to nonprofits that are currently putting on golf tournaments to raise money!

PROS

Loved that it handled all registrations, sponsorships and event scoring in one central location. Incredibly user friendly, but if you have any confusion, their customer support staff is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY. They responded to my requests on Friday nights and even helped me fix a scoring issue THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT. They worked non-stop to make sure I had what I needed for my event to be successful! My golfers loved the mobile scoring software and being able to track other teams' scores in real time. Heard only incredibly positive feedback from all of the attendees using GolfStatus.

CONS

They allow you to sell add-ons like mulligans, improved tee shots, etc. for additional revenue, but their registration downloads don't include those, so we had to manually add them to our registration print offs. Very minor inconvenience, but that is the only thing we really noticed that we wished we would have had.

Incredible work and company

Made our tournament exponentially more credible. The ease of being able to list and have everything on one platform not only was beneficial for the players, but to the team who organized event. They also offer many perks backed by insurance that gets players very excited about event day of.

PROS

What I enjoyed most was the ease to use. And the constant communication between [sensitive content hidden] and the team at Golf Status. Always there to answer any questions I had - even randomly out of the blue - and that type of service just doesn't exist anymore. Very pleasant to work with and am excited to continue to use them for any and all events I have in the future.

Excellent App and Staff

This is the first time that we have used a product to manage our Golf Tournament, and due to the pandemic, we wanted something that had less touchpoints the day of the event. It was perfect as tournament attendees could purchase their items right on their phone prior to the event, and during the event. 80% of our attendees used the mobile scoring which made the leaderboard easy to display to announce the winners. We have already discussed using it next year. The entire team at Golf Status was great and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was awesome! When I had a question the morning of the event, I don't even think that the phone rang twice before he picked up!

PROS

I like EVERYTHING about the software! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and the staff at Golf Status were excellent in their customer service. The user friendly app was perfect for our Golf Tournament.

CONS

I received emails when sponsorships and other items were sold, but it went into my junk email. So, unless I went into the site daily or checked my junk email, I didn't always know when a purchase was made through Golf Status. This could be an issue with our email through our organization.

Reason for choosing GolfStatus

We did not choose Golf Status over another product, as this was the first time that we used a product like that, but we are looking forward to using each year for our Golf Tournament.

First Annual Sow Good Now Golf Tournament

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] were both exceptional to deal with. They always returned emails or calls quickly and efficiently. They made it possible to do our first Golf Event!

PROS

Easy to set up and use overall! I needed the help to have someone walk me through how to set up. They held my hand and then some. I could not have done it without there support.

CONS

Yes, we struggled with check payments. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] did the best they could to accommodate us.

GolfStatus has become a key component of our yearly golf classic

PROS

GolfStatus has made it much easier to register and manage our golf tournament. The live scoring has also added a fun wrinkle to our yearly fundraising tournament. The app provides extra visibility to our sponsors.

CONS

Getting the sponsor logos in the right size and format can be a bit tricky.
