We are very happy with our switch to localist. It has has made our event management for our admins so much easier and we have seen a significant increase in our analytics.

The calendar has a nice look and has a lot of features integrated into it. It has been stable and reliable throughout the time we've used it.

But a lot of my visitors complain about this. They want to see a monthly overview without a very long scroll.

The approval of events is pretty easy and it's nice to have all the info involved - when and who submitted it.

The customer service at Localist is excellent. They are proactive by checking in regularly and when we have an issue or question they address it right away.

The calendar has little to no spam protection so users can post hundreds of bogus reviews while trying to farm clicks on our platform.

Older newsletter feature was too limited and difficult, and the newer newsletter feature seems complicated still. A lot of software changes have been difficult to keep up with changes and features.

The lack of a writable API is discouraging and makes it difficult to integrate with our other systems.

Summit is easy to use, affordable and with excellent technical support. We have been using it for over ten years.

Summit has expanded my skill set for clients and put ease on my job role requirements by providing efficient and effective processes to event timelines.

For anyone considering purchasing event software, I'd recommend Summit Pro 100% - it's easy to use, does what you need it do, and if it doesn't, they'll modify it for you, and it's a reasonable price.

Data input facilatied with ease and great use of auto -fill of fields. Importation of data from external sources a great benefit.

Misses some features, but MIE will always try to provide what is missing, and the new software, which I haven't got as  yet, addresses the issues.

SEM has an extensive list of reports, however if you can't find what you're looking for John and Kaye from MIE are able to whip one up for you in no time at all.

Have very occassionally had problems with data files when we have lost power or something like that and the file hasn't been shut down properly.

The Technical Knowledge of John and his team are fantastic and their personal level of service is a real asset.

The product is easy to use and the support is always fantastic - helpful and friendly.

The lack of availibility to create customise reports and doucumentation in current version. This is not the case in the new Version11.

Summit Event Manager is an on-premise event management solution used by manufacturers, custom fabricators and job shops to manage events such as seminars, training sessions, conferences, conventions and more. It is compatible with Windows operating systems. Features include accommodation management, delegate registration and reporting tools.


Summit Event Manager helps organizers register presenters and attendees as well as import and export information in multiple formats. Organizations can design badges and tickets with custom branding. The seating and table management tool includes a feature that tracks attendee food preferences and dietary requirements.


Summit Event Manager offers additional features which include tax invoices, attendee confirmation notifications, exhibitor tracking and marketing campaign analysis. Users can also monitor their financial activity by tracking total expenditure.
