About Whova

Whova is an event management solution designed to help organizers and exhibitors manage online registrations, marketing, lead retrieval and virtual conferencing processes. It includes a speaker center, which helps administrators automate information collection processes, create webpages for speakers using pre-defined templates and allows them to revise bios, headshots and session details.

Key features of Whova include event badge generation, session attendance management, live polling, social wall and real-time analytics. Businesses can organize online conferences, engage with audiences through polls, surveys, and discussion boards and provide user access across recorded videos and session streams. Additionally, it offers an event marketing module that helps marketers attract potential attendees by creating and scheduling promotional posts across social media channels and gain insights into web visitor traffic on a centralized dashboard.

Whova facilitates integration with Eventbrite, Constant Contact, Cvent, RegFox and utilize Zapier to connect the platform with other registration and customer relationship management systems. Pricing is available on a per-event basis.

Great conference app!

It's been a great product for us to use. The setup is a bit tedious but the customer service has been great. It's also been very useful in getting conference attendees to interact with each other.

This is a very comprehensive conference app that can integrate into my website, create nametags, send messages etc.

Cons:

It seems like the admin portal just kept building up over time and as a result can be difficult to navigate.

Reasons for choosing Whova

Cvent was more expensive and far more comprehensive than we needed.

Easy-to-use app for conferences and events

Overall my experiences have been positive. I think anyone using a new app for the first time can be a bit frustrated by the unfamiliarity and purpose of the layout and features. However, once a person plays around with it a bit, the controls and features become more understandable and useful.

I appreciate the familiar layout from one event to the next. It makes navigation much easier! Once I fumbled my way around during the first conference that featured the app, the next was refreshingly familiar and easy to navigate.

Cons:

On the Attendees -> Recommended tab, screen space is wasted on my past employers where I am the only attendee. My primary interest in this section is to connect to other people with similar experiences or interests, so I really don't need to see the categories where I am unique.

Whova Review

Our end users love the app. From an admin perspective, I love the ease of set up. Now that we are a few conferences in, we're able to leverage previous conference info to build content for the new conference. LOVE THAT!!

I love the engagement and set up is very easy

Cons:

It's sometimes challenging getting the right image sizes on the back end. However, it is very helpful that you provide what size they need to be. But, I end up doing a lot of editing and resizing outside of Whova to get the images right.

Our sister organization was using Whova and was having great success with engagement.

Great for a Fundraising Event

I've had a great experience with Whova using it for an annual charity fundraising event and appreciate the attentive customer service I've received.

Pros:

The fee structure of Whova is far and away better than other event platforms I've used. We use Whova for a fundraising event, so lower fees help us raise more money for charity. Everything on the platform is super intuitive and user-friendly.

Cons:

It's not a con, but there are a lot of features I don't use on the platform so I don't necessarily use it to the most of its capabilities.

Reasons for switching to Whova

Eventbrite's payment fees were too high, whereas Whova was much more reasonable.

Great event software

Overall, it s a very user friendly platform with a lot of options. Even though there are features that require an additional cost, there are still some really great base features.

There seem to be endless options and it’s really user friendly. I’ve been able to navigate it pretty well without watching tutorials or needing support.

They have a lot of add-on features but for an additional cost. It just seems a little nickel and dime like.

My company didn’t like the payment plan for Evebtbrite so we found something new. Whova lets you pay per event.

Whova Event App - 10th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference 2025

This app was great overall! I liked being able to share photos from the conference and see others' pictures of their experiences. I was able to network with many great individuals and take notes during many great sessions.

Pros:

The ability to network with all attendees who attended the 10th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference 2025. I was able to take notes directly through the app and email them to myself.

Cons:

There was no ability to check in to the event for registration of the event field trip Tours. This caused a chaotic line of hundred of participants during the Tours Days.
