Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like how many projects it is capable of helping me with. It is a very detailed and impressive software.
- I like how easy it is to navigate in this application. It has great tutorials and places you can learn what each function does.
- One of the best features that Illustrator offers is its integration with all other Creative Cloud products like Photoshop.
Cons
- There is nothing to dislike about Illustrator apart from the fact that the first time you fire up the program, the "getting started" page pops up which is undesirable and also impacts RAM usage.
- I dislike how cramped the software can feel even with the option to change around were things are located stuff just seems to be lost easily.
- I hate having to pay to use it. I only use the program occasionally, and I have to sign up for a whole month to use the thing for sometimes only a few minutes at a time, every few months.
Pros
- Love that it is free and has lots of features. Great for someone starting out as there is no subscription fees and it does the job.
- Overall, I would highly recommend Inkscape. It is free and opensource which is pretty awesome and you can do so much in it.
- I mostly like the vector converter result. It makes my photos or images quality much better and it help me to presentate the best result for client.
Cons
- When working with large files, It lags and often crash. It gets really annoying when it can't keep up with the editing process.
- While I could install a WebP plugin for Inkscape I've had bad experiences with Inkscape plugins in the past and I avoid them as much as possible.
- There are many features that I feel are needed, that are missing as well as overall GUI issues and things that are complicated for seemingly no reason that keep me from using this more often.
