Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like how many projects it is capable of helping me with. It is a very detailed and impressive software.
- I like how easy it is to navigate in this application. It has great tutorials and places you can learn what each function does.
- One of the best features that Illustrator offers is its integration with all other Creative Cloud products like Photoshop.
Cons
- There is nothing to dislike about Illustrator apart from the fact that the first time you fire up the program, the "getting started" page pops up which is undesirable and also impacts RAM usage.
- I dislike how cramped the software can feel even with the option to change around were things are located stuff just seems to be lost easily.
- I hate having to pay to use it. I only use the program occasionally, and I have to sign up for a whole month to use the thing for sometimes only a few minutes at a time, every few months.
Pros
- As most of the UX/UI tools, this app also incorporates all the necessary features that will allow you to design seamless experiences. It's also beautifully designed, which makes it super nice to use.
- Overall it is an excellent program: fast effective, weighs little and has excellent performance.
- Sketch is very versatile and despite being marketed for UI prototyping, it is a powerful design tool suitable for logos and icons too. The UI is very intuitive and matches the macOS style beautifully.
Cons
- One disadvantage to sketch is the inability to freehand draw through the program.
- It's a shame it's only compatible with mac, especially for working with other people.
- The bigger the file, the slower the software becomes, which ends up being stressful and inconvenient.
