BookedIN is a cloud-based appointment scheduling app created for booking appointments and collecting payment for services. The platform allows users to set up automatic confirmation messages, reminders and notification reciepts. It is a suitable fit for any small businesses or individual entrepreneurs that schedule one-on-one appointments with clients and customers.

BookedIN offers contact management, scheduling and invoicing. Users can configure custom intake forms for their clients to fill out during the scheduling process. The application can also be customized to feature company branding and colors. 

Users can maintain multiple calendars, and BookedIN also tracks client histories including past bookings, payment history, no-shows, client contact information and notes. Mobile scheduling apps are available for iOS and Android devices. 

BookedIN offers a 30-day free trial of their system and multiple pricing tiers for continuing service. Tiers include unlimited booking plans for either one schedule or unlimited schedules with either monthly or annual payments.

Great for those needing separate calendars. Good price for multiple staff and free notifications. Customers may get annoyed by repeat contact. Acceptable but it could use some upgrades or feedback and If the price increases Im going back to Vagaro.

Pros

Simplicity to book, clean look, mutiple calendars, pre/deposit payment paypal.No recurring booking.

Cons

Lots of annoying client notifications for booking, update, change, etc. Only view day/month on cell.

Cons

Not much of a con, but wish the app ran a little smoother on my phone. Could be an issue I was having with my phone.

It is so user friendly, so intuitive, and so simple to change things when I need to. It also helps me keep my finances in order when clients pay deposits. It's really a joy to use.

I wish there were a few more options for customization of the services. Other than that, the product is really very functional.

I used to use Schedulicity, but I could not support multiple offices without scheduling conflicts. BookedIn solved that issue.

The support staff is incredibly friendly and quick in response. Always there for you when you need help. The software is very simple to set up and the payment plans are very affordable.

I looked into SEVERAL other booking sites, and they were all much more expensive, and MUCH more complex.

The vendor is very responsive to client needs, ideas and suggestions. Excellent customer service. The product is easy to use which is why I chose it, no complicated set up, instructions or classes needed.

I wish it had an App. It would make using the product more convenient.

Recommendations

Cons

Not being able to send payment requests on the app is frustrating. I am not always on my desktop. It would be nice to send payment requests via mobile phone.

No more paper appointment book! Its so easy to use for myself and my clients. I ho estly couldnt be happier with it!

Really reliable, I've been using Bookedin for 3 months and never had an issue with the app. Would love to see it grows a little bit faster with more in depth option related to my business.

They send us an email saying 10 tips for tattoo artists but in reality its not bookedin related. If that was exemple (option for a cancelation list, appointment without sms confirmation, the ability to customize the sms message)

The main benifit is time. I dont have to personally book appointments, have lengthy conversations via email, Facebook, text, in person, anything. Theres always a 10 minute juggle of calendars when booking appointments in person, ots frustrating. Not anymore. It's a great booking tool and it gives the client the control within the parameters you set. Customization is great, the auto features are awesome. If you dislike excessive customer service this is a gold mine! It's worth a 30 day trial. I'm now a subscriber.

Pros

1) I like that my clients can book without texting me or meeting with me in person. Saves me a lot of time both at work and at home.
2) I love the deposit and auto refund tools. I always take deposits before booking, and if the client cancels they get a refund without having to come see me in person.
3) The reminders and sync is awesome for both me and my client. I get all the info I need, they get reminders, confirmations, and calendar sync, it's phenomenal. No lengthy texts or sending personal reminders. It's all there for them to confirm without me taking the time from my schedule.
4) I like the variety of customization options. Charge different deposits for different services, time for rest between appointments, hours available, everything.

Cons

My suggestions, if bookedin is reading any of this -
1) Categories for services and the ability to limit how many of any certain service/service category is available each day. I dont want 3 touch ups in 1 day, I want 1 touch up a day for 3 days. Maybe I overlooked something, but I dont think this is an option.
2) For my clients - search for service by time availability is unavailable. My clients have to manually click on each day in my calendar to see if I have 6 hours available. I think it would be easier if there was an option to view the services, choose the service, then see highlighted days available to them. Keep the same system! Just add an alternative as well. If that makes sense.

This is a very easy app, for both customers and me to use. It also expands and offers other features like other users, email and text reminders, easy to use customizable schedules and 5 free bookings a month on a standard account. Which made transitioning to a more comprehensive app and stragglers, who get hundreds of emails and never opened my newsletters, can still "book in" without a hastle.

Cons

It was only a schedule and the service and pricing area was confusing. I loved the app but I needed to expand my capabilities a little.

It gets me more frequent clients. I wish that they could pre book in advance more than one time slot. Most want a recurring appointment but don't have the option.

Pros

It's easy for my clients to use. They like getting reminders about when to come in. They like the layout as well.

Cons

I book 45 min appointments but the app shows 30 minutes. I lose more appointments this way. It's costing me money and I might find a better app after this year.

Hi Matt, Thank you so much for the review! To help out with the 45min appointments, there is a great setting for this. Go to "settings > calendars > edit... then change your 'BOOKING INTERVAL' to 45 minutes. Hit "save" and then your booking page will show 45 min increments to clients which will space things out nicely for you :) Also, I will track your vote for the "recurring" feature. The options of payment plans are ideal for a a growing small business, because they range from Free to "Pay as you Go", to Monthly, and even Yearly.
I love the "Sync" feature on the paid plans! This is my favourite feature ever!

Cons

I would have loved to have more design capabilities for the Booking Page that my clients land on, so, I can do more branding.

Pros

My clients can book from home, and frees me up to work more productivity, I also have way less cancellations with appointment verification.

Cons

None so far. The only thing I can suggest is a loyalty program for the clients to get them to return more often.

I received more clients by allowing them to schedule on their own time, instead of waiting for a response from me.

Pros

I love how I can take my scheduler anywhere. The app on my iPhone is easy to use and always available. I can modify most of the things on my phone without needing a desktop.

Cons

I really wish we could modify the automatic reminder that is sent out. I would like to add my address to the automatic reminder so I won't have to do it personally for new clients.

Cons

Our artists find it a bit difficult to move clients around, say if they need to swap appointments for 2 different clients. You need to cancel one before you can swap it out.

Thank you so much for the review! Regarding moving clients around, your artists will want to use the "change" option. This lets artists move/reschedule any appointment without having to cancel it. In the mobile app: tap on the appointment, then tap "change" then enter in a new time/date & save. In desktop you can simply drag-and-drop. If you're swapping 2 clients appointments, you will need to turn on the "allow double booking internal only" feature to account for a momentary overlap while you are swapping the 2 appointments. I don't have to keep physical appointment book with me at all times.

Pros

I have total control of the dates and appointment times. I can set an appointment for new clients myself and then send them the link.

Cons

Having to resend customer the link. If there was a permanent link for the clients it would be a lot easier.

the ease of booking from our multiple computers we have in our shop, plus being able to book appointments for our artists that move around our three shops which all use the bookedIN program. also being able to create appointments for our artists through the mobile app.

Pros

the support i can receive when i have any issues is prompt and very helpful.
and is quiet easy to navigate and use

Cons

sometimes when refreshing it can take a a bit to reload (but that may just be our internet speeds) . and have had an issue with double booking, but think we figured it was an error on our behalf,

Cons

Mobile app doesnt let you include details and notes. You can't attach pictures. There is no syncing with social media or email. I wish it functioned more like a CRM system.

My clients can easily see me availability and book in when it's convenient and no longer have to wait for me to get back to them. It's also limited the number of cancelations and no shows I get, because the bookings can't complete without paying a deposit.

Pros

The ability to write a message to be sent to the client about how to prepare for their booking is extremely helpful.

Cons

If there was a feature that allowed a message to be sent once the booking has been complete, this service would be worthy of 5 stars.

Not having to have actual conversations and figure out when I'm available and the client is available.

Pros

It works well with my real estate photography business, most other apps we geared for taking bookings at 1 location. I rarely have the same location, and if I do all the client info is saved.

Cons

I'm still having trouble with the "break" time.
Ex: 1:00hr session at 3:00pm plus 30 mins break. But it is still possible to book 4:00pm.
