mHelpDesk is a field service solution that helps customers automate everything from first customer contact to getting paid. This includes customer management, quoting, dispatching, invoicing, billing and reporting.

mHelpDesk has multiple features to support a field service-oriented business, including integration with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for accounting. It also offers an offline mode, which allows technicians to continue using the mobile app in areas without internet or cell reception.

Since it’s entirely cloud-based, mHelpDesk is accessible on any mobile device with internet access. This allows field techs to access all the necessary information about a job right from their mobile device. mHelpDesk also provides visibility into staff schedules, helping to dispatch and alert field employees.

Estimates and invoices are customizable, allowing organizations to create templates that make sense for their business and customers. The system also integrates with any unique company website, providing functional widgets, forms and login boxes.

Wrote a better review one year ago

In 2017 I wrote a review stating this was the best software I have ever used for this purpose, and I have used three others. This is no longer the case. I would not recommend this program to a small contracting business such as ours, and that is a damn shame. What a waste.

Pros

I like Being able to track an estimate, to a job, to an invoice. It Interfaces OK with quickbooks.

Cons

Over the past year many changes have been made to this program that, for our business, have made the program worse. The added features which make it harder to operate also make it more sluggish. It times out a lot and I find myself doing the same tasks two or three times. I have provided this feedback as well as more detailed feedback on each of the changes they've made, and I never hear back. No one cares.

So those two main things: Making it worse, and not caring about the feedback that it's worse.

Customer service was SO IMPRESSIVE a year ago, I would be blown away by the incredible service I received on the phone or through web chat. That has also degraded in a BIG way. I would say that the last few major IT issues remain unresolved.

Too expensive and with little customer support

It is a decent application so far. I know that they can improve and get better with more time.

Pros

Great for creating work orders and invoices. There is a 50/50 chance of a customer support agent that is knowledgeable. WIll walk you through step by step to get things done. Thave a free demo for you to try out before you buy.

Cons

Their website says fast and easy and powerful. Wish it could all be true. There are just too many bugs with this software. The repair time is too slow or it's not properly done. Not compatible with all other applications like QuickBooks. The customer support team that they have don't really know what is going on. Or they pretend either way most of the fixes you can find yourself by doing a search on the web.

Yet another solution that doesn't really solve anything

Not sure why anyone would pay for a solution that doesn't display the schedule properly.

Pros

Easy to sign up for the free trial and to create users.

Cons

I hated the layout of the schedule. I have 11 employees with individual schedules, I needed to see each one in a grid layout, not all on top of each other will-nilly so I couldn't tell who had what openings which days. If I wanted to look at a schedule like that I'd have stuck with multiple google calendars. That was a nightmare.

Good lead tracking software

Pros

Simple to use lead tracking software, this was used in connection with Homeadvisors and it was a good way to track their leads

Very limited as a CRM and the customer support seemed very limited, really useful only to track leads until time of contract.

Worst Decision we made!

We expected so much more from mHelpDesk based on the initial customer service experience. The number of issues once we were using the software were unacceptable and our overall impression of mHelpDesk quickly went from "We love this!" to "The WORST DECISION we made!!"

Pros

We really liked the capability our technician's had to invoice in the field and collect payment. Our customers also liked the ability to pay at the time of service or via the link provided by emailed invoices.

Cons

Google Calendar sync completely rearranged ALL of our scheduled appointments and created some very unhappy, long-time customers. App for field employees had poor functionality. After multiple attempts to get help for the calendar issue, they just quit trying. Transfer of information between mHelpDesk and Quickbooks made a complete mess of our customer lists and files, taking nearly 6 weeks to repair all the damage caused.

mHelpDesk is extremely comprehensive, and offers everything you could ask for and more. Keeping track of both projects and dispatching technicians in an efficient and effective manner is crucial for any support shop. mHelpDesk makes tracking inventory, managing contracts, reviewing and revising schedules, and clear and concise workflows a simple and pain free process. The mobile features are also incredibly robust, and allows for technicians and managers to efficiently coordinate from wherever they are.

Cons

Initially there were some roll out issues for my client, but those are expected and were minimal. mHelpDesk support was extremely responsive.
