mHelpDesk is a field service solution that helps customers automate everything from first customer contact to getting paid. This includes customer management, quoting, dispatching, invoicing, billing and reporting.

mHelpDesk has multiple features to support a field service-oriented business, including integration with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for accounting. It also offers an offline mode, which allows technicians to continue using the mobile app in areas without internet or cell reception.

Since it’s entirely cloud-based, mHelpDesk is accessible on any mobile device with internet access. This allows field techs to access all the necessary information about a job right from their mobile device. mHelpDesk also provides visibility into staff schedules, helping to dispatch and alert field employees.

Estimates and invoices are customizable, allowing organizations to create templates that make sense for their business and customers. The system also integrates with any unique company website, providing functional widgets, forms and login boxes.

With the apparent glitches it's still a good software to use and helps track everything so I give it a good percentage that i will continue to use this for a very long time.

Pros

I will tell you one thing the customer service is beyond any I've ever experienced they can help me on my timezone when I need it. I'm able to organize and keep all my files on track and allows me to be more responsible with the techniques that I'm able to do with my teammates. I like the fact that I'm able to start a work order keep a track on them and update them when I need to without using the phone or using emails to go back and forth.

Cons

There's an issue that I've been finding on the mobile tracking section is not all the time accurate. The other thing I've noticed is that I do experience a lot of glitches that ends up freezing the app and then I have either restart it or do some others stuff in order to get it working properly. Hopefully in the next update of this the company will resolve this issue and make it easier for everybody.

Just started using this service. I chose this program because the customer service is outstanding and everything in the software is entirely customizable for my business.

Cons

It is quite pricey. Even though the only feature I want is to be able to send automated emails to workers, they require each person receiving automated emails to be a user. Considering they won't use the program at all and all I want is for them to receive emails, upping the price by over 300 a month for that one feature is far too steep. They should either include emailing as apart of the regular subscription or lower their price for unlimited users.

I think it is one of the best software packages for small to medium companies.

It can replace using few different software. Fully integrated scheduling, inventory, payroll etc. It can be customized. Support for it is just superb.

Cons

It is not cheap. There are plenty of the software costing even half price of mdesk, but no one is more complete.

A Blessing For Our IT Department

We were much happier with the original version and while we continue to use the software, I still and looking for a new option to try.

Pros

It is fairly easy to use. We mainly use it to create invoices and work orders that we print and send to customers. The customization of forms was great when they helped us initially set it up.

Cons

We acutally loved this product when we first started using it. We used it on a desktop in the office. We were on the original version until they kicked us off and told us it was not longer available. The do not truly think of the people who have to use it on a desktop at all. The font is so light that I literally get a headache each day trying to read it on my 20inch monitor. I have already enlarged the magnification and then when I try to create new customers or other things, you cannot see the save button on the enlarged screen.
We have tried to tell them this, but to no avail. Why would you not think there are people working in offices on desktops and laptops still??? Since they have Home Advisor, Mhelp seems to be the step child and they no longer allow you to make suggestions. I guess they do not care anymore what their customers think.

We are residential electricians and mhelpdesk is helping us to schedule the appointments with our customers, get written all quotes (also done in mhelpdesk) customer approved, invoices sent out, payments made right through the program and now we can sent out a receipt to our customers for the paid invoices. We love it! It's easy to maneuver even for people like myself, who is not very tech savy. Whenever we had an issue, we connected with their super friendly, professional customer service and had our problems resolved in no time.
We certainly highly recommend mhelpdesk.

Pros

It's easy to use and has a simple, easy to follow step by step scheduling/invoicing program.
It can be customized to fit your company's process.

Cons

With the current currency exchange (we are from Canada) it is quite pricey. We would like the app to load faster.

Scheduling used to be easy and tracking of calls fairly good. We made it work even though we are in Canada, Customer service is there, but mostly their answer is "send us a feedback message" when they try to answer your questions. Imports transactions into Quickbooks

Cons

When you hover over the truncated mini view of the schedule on the calendar it does not automatically open to preview the full extent of the job any longer, which means that you have to open each job to see what it is and try to schedule from there. It's very time consuming and what program doesn't give a preview when you hover over information??? DROPS CUSTOMERS AND PHONE NUMBERS AND HAS TRANSPOSED PHONE NUMBERS AND ADDRESSES, doesn't show current day by highlighting it to know you are working in it to name a few, THEY DROP PROGRAM FEATURES WITHOUT WARNING.

They are a month-to-month plan and will tell you that they need to earn your business each and every month--and that they do!

Pros

Easy to use, the customizable-ness is AMAZING. If you call a job ticket a work order instead, you can rename it--and it's a main menu item in the software! The chat box support is soooo helpful. They reply back pretty quickly, but it will be a couple minutes, you can X-out of the box and it will pop back up when they respond which allows you to keep working if you want.

Cons

Haven't found one yet. We had started with another company that totally bombed the set up so we fired them. While we haven't started using this fully yet, I've kicked every tire and ran it through every worst-case scenario I could find. Can not wait to get going and using it daily.

It has been very positive from the first phone call to get information about them. The team was supportive and willing to work with us. The onboarding team helped directly to get us up and running and then the regular support team took over. Positive experience overall

Pros

I work for a small wellness company who wanted to expand and needed to automate. We decided on mHelpDesk. The monthly cost is well worth it. Users are very satisfied with the ease of use and link to google calendar. As an Admin I have run across a few items that would be nice to have but are not show stoppers. The Support Team is extremely responsive and willing to help, they even made videos for me to show how something was done and I can refer back to.

Cons

Minor limitations that require modifications to process / approach. Ability to load custom fields, linking custom fields to templates, viewing customer attached files in the Mobile App and putting identifying information to the Customer & Contacts.

We LOVE how MHelpDesk can take almost unlimited customization to taylor to what each user needs. In addition, they welcome user feedback to make their product better. That's a welcome change from many other software developers who don't want to be bothered with how their software feels or looks to those who actually use it day in and day out.

I have been very pleased with the customer service we have received with mHelpDesk. The people seem to be the biggest asset the company has because we have been able to contact them constantly and they are very polite and resolve out issues whether it be over the phone or over chat.

Pros

The customer service is top notch. Everyone is very kind and respectful and more importantly are very good at providing feedback. The app is great. We had a few issues with the information transferring into quick books the way we prefer but overall is doing everything we needed it to.

Cons

I really wish the phone numbers were able to move to google calendar. That is the biggest pitfall of this software. Also the customer information doesn't translate super well with quickbooks.

Lot's of salesmen talk, they won't tell you their software has trouble with Apple products, and even using a different browser didn't help. NONE of the features we liked we could use. We were with MHELPDESK for 5 MONTHS and never got launched because none of our problems were fixed. We were then told that refunding a service that doesn't work is a "courtesy."

They lie, they have tons of "work arounds" and no solutions. We've lost months of man hours, and we don't know yet how much customer information we lost.

RUN!!!!!!!

The automatic call ahead feature for our techs on the way to jobs

That feature didn't work, because the app is crap. It won't even turn horizontal so you can use a keyboard! Pictures do no upload, information is not saved, and the only solution we were given was to switch to Chrome. Which did not work.

The application provides free training to help you use the application well. Supports the different workflows, be it scheduled or unscheduled. The application ensures great customer service. For every work order, you will be able to generate relevant estimates and invoices. The best feature is that you can manage all your employees and work orders in one place. It has a robust searchability feature. You can easily customize the templates. It helps you track work orders and update them. Cons

We can’t add multiple administrators in to the platform which is a a very bad drawback. Mobile tracking lacks accuracy.

It tortured us for 2 years!

Pros

At this point NONE, it is overly complicated, inflexible and often doesn't even work as it should! They do not respond in a timely manner. 2 years ago before the company was bought out they were better, they at least tried to help although the program was still glitchy then too!

Cons

It is full of fatal glitches which render the program useless!!! The tech staff are polite but completely not knowledgable and so unhelpful. The phone app would not display our workers jobs, it has been 10 days and the issue remains unfixed!

We have been using this software for a little over a year now. After discovering that it was not going to work for what we originally planned it for, we have tweaked our usership of it to work with us.

Cons

For recurring work orders or jobs, this software is not the best. This software works great for one time jobs. We typically use it for one time jobs and walk-in customers that will not have an account attached to the job.

We are finally able to get out of the paper and pencil scheduling! We are also able to start collecting on invoices out in the field, real-time information and photos and our days have been made a lot easier with this system. Customization is amazing and really helps since we are a very niche company.

Cons

There are occasional system glitches and we have to get ahold of technical. My field techs are having some issues with the App and have to view it as a browser.

For the pricepoint, it is hard to go wrong here. And while we encountered a few things we couldn't make the system do, neither could Salesforce (and SF wanted 10X the price). We are very happy with out decision for this.

Cons

You have to REALLY think through how you want your workflow, templates, and in particular how you want to name your products and services. It is a headache to go back and change things. Additionally, the search function is painfully slow and counter productive once you get over ~1000 skus. Their database simply can't handle it.

MHelpDesk is so user-friendly! If you have any sort of tech-savvy abilities, this software is incredibly easy.

Cons

They are rude; our company was deciding between this and one other company. MHelpDesk was constantly calling and emailing, and when we ultimately decided to go with the other company, the sales rep was less than enthused with our decision & pretty much said: "Well, good luck with that." Very unprofessional.

Actually I quite like the application for managing accounts, I recommend it

Pros

It is a fairly friendly application, I like the options to schedule appointments and billing modules. However, there is still a lot to know.

Cons

In general terms I have no major drawbacks, however the version for Android devices seems a bit limited in some functions

It is feature rich for a great price. It is easy to use and has many tutorials (if even needed). The scheduling and invoicing system are terrific.

Cons

The search function is not very good. I'm told it will be upgraded, but it has been quite awhile now.

Organized our service business and made it much easier to operate

Pros

Whenever there is an issue with anything on the program they are super quick to get it fixed and won't stop until it is fixed. There are not a lot of issues, but every program has its glitches. It is also super easy to use and helps keep us very organized.

Cons

Sometimes the app does act up but it was much better once we switched our cellular device carrier to one with better coverage

Once the glucthes started going away and it because more user friendly it was nice to keep scheduling and invoices.

Pros

I initially enjoyed that this softeare could replace quickbooks and lotus scheduling until it turned into a nightmare and I was losing more information than I was gaining.

Cons

Everything about this software was irritating but as updates came out it did feel like the glitches were getting fixed

We have over 1200 employees. The MHelpDesk is so convenient in getting repair messages to our maintenance department.

Cons

I must say that the website is a bit hard to navigate around. But I always find my way eventually...
