I've had a good enough experience that I decided to purchase the unit so I'm able to shut them off during our slowest of our seasonal. I feel like the customer support is definitely there and you just need to ask the questions. They are also willing to do some customization for you and can link you to CVS sheets and formats. You can only do 3 months at a time but it's easy enough to just do that as quarters. I really like that you can select legs of a trip and see what their average and high est throttle was used. I like that they have multiple different options. We use the rugged model for the travel trailers and OBD for my towing truck and motorhome. I'm able to see what my battery percentage is, my fuel percentage, odometer how long it's been idle if it's running all sorts of good information. #### Cons I did bring this up recently to my account manager I really feel strongly that we should be able to turn on and off devices through our own portal. I can understand if it is for one month or one week even but if I have it turned off and then a rental comes up I want to be able to turn it on over the weekend. This is a major downside that I have not experienced with other trackers. They are a facet responding to email and you can call them and easily get a hold of somebody but it's during business hours Monday through Friday #### Reasons for choosing One Step GPS I knew a fellow RV rental operator that was very happy with one step and when I did my comparative research I felt that they had better options for travel trailers to connect to the 12 Mall #### Reasons for switching to One Step GPS I wanted to have better battery life, and be able to wire it into the 12 volt system so I wouldn't have to charge it every so often with a cable. I also wanted it to be a more permanent style or hidden setup that I wouldn't need to plug in of course similar to what I listed above. If a company is good, your customers won't leave, especially for the type of data that you are recording (we need this info for years), so it doesn't make sense to jump. We like "no contracts" - as our business operates this way ourselves - and like that we have the option to buy or rent equipment. #### Cons Alert configurations can be a little bit of a hassle to set up if you are assigning different preferences to different alerts. We wish there was a way to customize some of the alerts further - for instance, we would love to be able to assign a "Speeding over posted" alert for something like 13 mph over posted for non-highway driving, but for highway driving we'd want the alert to be "speeding over" 20.
