PestRoutes software


PestRoutes is a cloud-based field service software solution made specifically for pest control businesses. Key features include customer information management, billing, technician dispatch and GPS tracking.

With PestRoutes, users can create electronic service agreements from customizable templates and customers can sign them using e-signature capture. The mobile app allows employees in the field to view appointment information, receive updates, complete electronic forms and paperwork and accept credit card payments from customers. Customers are also able to pay and see balances through a branded customer portal.

PestRoutes uses GPS tracking to track technician locations and automatically generate routes between appointment locations. The solution is also able to send out automated voice, SMS and email appointment reminders to customers. Users can generate reports on business activity and view them all in a single dashboard.

    PestRoutes has a lot of functions, can be used in the field, and can be used by a number of technicians at the same time. Easy to go back and forth between the functions.

    Cons

    After we began using the program, we realized some issues. First issue was the coding of the chemicals. The industry regulations are very strict and the software made it difficult to code the chemicals and record the dilution rates. Also, after repeated use, going back and forth between the functions for the field technicians was more difficult than what was presented by the sales person. (I was the one he did the demo with).

    It's very simple and organized to view and use. It keeps everything in one place for easy comparisons and charts.

    Cons

    The price is too high for this software. It's helpful, but not worth the extra expense for a business who isn't already large.

    The dashboard is really the only feature that I like in this desktop software. The technician mobile app is acceptable as well.

    Cons

    Customer service is awful. They charge alot for a single backup of your data. Lacks a lot of functions that our previous software had. Many tasks take 3 or 4 steps to accomplish.

    It has great reporting options, extremely versatile and yet its so easy to use. It has saved us hours per day in office work because of the great automation features.

    This a wonderfully automated system. The fact that I am now paperless means alot to us. I really enjoy the ease and depth of the reporting and scheduling has never been easier. I was a Pest Pac user for many years and I am so glad we made the switch to Pest Routes.

    Cons

    The hardest part of this was unlearning the procedures from our past software provider. It took me a minute to grasp the job pool but when I realized it was not a set appointment but merely a look at whats due.

    Linking our techs in the field with the information in the office is great. The ability to go paperless is also a huge benefit for us.

    The learning curve has been challenging for us. Some of the information during the import process didn't come over accurately .

    We are still in the early stages of implementation, so there will be many more, but one benefit we are already thrilled with is the reporting capabilities.

    Pros

    I love the reporting capabilities! We can run a report on nearly anything, from financial/billing information to customers' service types to service due dates, and more. Also, the integration of billing with the program is incredible!

    Cons

    There are some quirky things that are a little frustrating, although the developers continue to work on fixing the quirks. A big example of this is the fact that headers don't float, so whatever screen I'm on and scrolling through, if I want to click a button, change a date range or filter, see what the columns are, etc., I have to scroll all the way back to the top to do so.

    The document templates are awesome! Easy customer communication, easy reporting, There were a few things that we needed to customize and they worked with us to get it done. The PR team is very innovative and listens to what the customer's needs are.

    Cons

    There are a few things that we liked in our previous program that PestRoutes doesn't have. However, after using PestRoutes for a few months, it's hard to remember what those where. Mostly small things that we have since adjusted to. The program is not perfect but they always work on those small things when we need them to.

    Great reporting, efficiency, and a quick software to learn for end users both in the office and field.

    Pros

    We love the customer interface, Customer Reviews, Field software TechRoutes, as well as office program. Our old program took a lot of training and time to transition in new employees. With PestRoutes our training time is minimal and the ease of adding customers & scheduling work is so much faster. Our office staff love the ease of getting around the system and quick ability to set things up. You can see technicians progress real-time in the field and there are a lot of reporting that help you truly manage work flow of field personnel.

    The integration of so many of our daily tasks are combined into one application, where we used to use four or five separate non-integrated apps.

    Cons

    There is no integration with an accounting program - like Quick Books. Also, we were not able to transfer customer service history successfully over to PestRoutes from our Quick Books program.

    The representative we were linked up with! He is so helpful, friendly, hardworking, and has such a can do attitude. We feel like he really is a part of our team!

    It was easy to navigate, it's allso easy to learn. I didn't require to much training to be able to e perfrom the necessary duties.

    Even with the glitches I still think it the best pest soft ware on the market.

    Pros

    Its very simply and easy to use. The screens are not complicated and conversion was easy. Great pricing!

    Cons

    The system freezes some times, like once every 3 months. I have been a user for about 6 months and it has been down 3 times

    Switching from Pocomos (don't use Pocomos, their support is atrocious) and very happy I did so. It will make your pest company more efficient overnight. Constantly being improved and updated. They take this very seriously, it's pretty obvious. Also PCI compliant.

    Efficiency and well thought out. Their programmers are top notch

    One or 2 features it is missing but that's it, I'm sure they will add this in the future

    Pest Routes review after using it for a year

    We started using the software just about a year ago, in December of 2015. A rep came and showed us the basics, answering many questions with the utmost of patience. After the rep left, we had to call into the Pest Routes Customer Service department, many times. The customer service agent and her team of customer service representatives always helped us out, with a smile, despite the repeated questions. If the agent, or her team, couldn't give us an instant answer, they would create a ticket and get back to us. I would recommend this software to anyone running a pest control office. It has so many utilities included in the software, such as various reports detailing types of customers (those who pay with checks/credit cards/cash and how much and often they pay). It also has the ability for customers to leave feedback on the technician (which is also detailed in another report). It's easy for customers to be contacted for any voicemail the office can create beforehand as well as emailing/leaving voice-mails for the customers regarding their next service including time frames. I can go on and on, but I'm sure it's all in their marketing material. Great product with a great customer service/development team!

    Pros

    The best feature of PestRoutes is the method of notifying customers of their next service. We have the option of SMS (texting), emailing and calling (all optional, at the customer's request).

    Cons

    I don't like the Paid In Full report, not very functional for those with multiple subscriptions.

    Our company switched to Pest Routes earlier this year and we love, love it. As this was our first experience with transferring our data to a new software and I was very nervous. They were able to import the majority of our data over which was very helpful. The support has been phenomenal. We received an initial training class and then of course as we migrated over there were lots of questions and we always had people who could walk us through what we needed to do. I'm very pleased with Pest Routes and would highly recommend to other companies who want to take their service to the next level.

    I've been using Pest Routes for almost a year now and it's been nothing but awesome!! The software has saved at least 10 hours of office work a week. Jared and his crew are always working to improve their software, unlike other companies who think their software is complete but it's living in the 80's. I researched and did demos with every software company I knew of and even spent hours with some to see all aspects of the software. After nine months of looking I'm so glad I found PestRoutes. Even my customers have made comments of how much they like the invoicing and customer portal to make payments and review the service.
