Pronto Xi is an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite that provides core applications, such as financial accounting and business intelligence, alongside sales and marketing modules, supply chain management and distribution tools and manufacturing and facilities management features within one solution.

Their core offering combines financial tools and distribution systems and directly integrates with IBM’s Cognos business intelligence technology. Within the distribution tool, users can view and manage multiple warehouse inventories, automate freight calculations, access sales histories and customize order entry screens. Additionally, the program’s manufacturing suite allows creating responsive inventory items based on client requirements that transition to shop floor instructions.

Pronto Xi’s POS feature provides users with a touch-screen user interface that directly integrates with the suite’s inventory management tool. Users can create new customer profiles from any store and make them accessible from any register. Also, real-time stock inquiries can be executed by any certified staff member, which helps eliminate calls between locations.

The solution is suitable for midsize businesses in retail, heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, field services and supply chain management, and the system can be deployed as an on-premise, cloud-based or hybrid solution.

used for maintenance purposes keeping track of job progress ect

Pros

makes it easy for operations staff to enter jobs
good options for adding job history notes, also keeps arecord of who enters them.
we have full access to store stock through pronto which is very handy

Cons

when you run a search but arent specific in your criteria it can lock up for several minutes while the search is complete.

History of works orders is a huge benefit

Pros

Being able to look up plant items and view the works orders completed on this plant item, who completed them and the works order history notes are very useful for fault finding. aslo having a spares list for plant items is great when ordering new spare parts

Cons

a lot of the time pronto is not very intuiative, you have to use it often to know your way around it, like printing a works order is not a simple "press print" you have to make a report then view the report and then you can print it.
