Month over month we always saw a major advantage in that the first-time clients who received some sort of communication were much more likely to sign up for membership. A HUGE benefit given how little effort it really took to make that happen. Members feel even more special receiving messages from their coach, it helps them feel connected to the gym and the community. Also helpful to use as a reminder for upcoming events. Cons: I can't really pinpoint anything that I could highlight as needing the most improvement. They really helped me navigate Covid by being one of the first to integrate a virtual program with our scheduling software. They are also on top of adding new features regularly. They conned me out of over $1,800 in unauthorized charges and refuse to properly respond to my multiple emails and chat attempts. Here’s what happened: I prepaid for one full year of service in September. Despite this, FitGrid began charging me monthly only five months into my prepaid year — without my consent. They claim they sent emails requiring me to "opt out," which makes no sense since I had already prepaid. This is misleading and unethical. When I finally got a response, they admitted they could only refund the most recent charges (about $500 from 2 different charges from this month), but they refused to address the seven additional months of unauthorized charges before that. So instead of refunding the full $1,800+ they wrongfully billed me, they offered me only a partial refund and have taken no accountability. This is completely unacceptable. Their billing practices are deceptive, and their customer support is unresponsive. I have proof of my prepaid plan and the timeline of charges, and yet they continue to avoid accountability. I strongly urge any studio considering FitGrid to be extremely cautious — their billing is predatory, their communication is terrible, and their lack of transparency is alarming. Cons: They steal from their clients. They charge your card varying amounts for services they say you have to "opt" out of after they add them to your account without you knowing.
