Use Maintain and Reduce Down Time/Repair Costs
Before we starting using Maintain, repairs weren't always documented, equipment down time was over 20%, and workshop productivity and efficiency were very low. Using Maintain we were able to document every repair, decrease equipment down time to less then 10%, reduce unexpected repair costs, and increased workshop productivity and efficiency.
PROSThe ability to customize the software to our business needs
CONSHaven't found a feature that I didn't like or that I couldn't master

The B2W products that we have installed have greatly improved our operational controls and efficiency.
In total, B2W is in the upper echelon of construction bidding and project management systems. Their team is very proactive and responsive to customer input. For any company that is looking to improve their flow of information and control of costs, B2W is an excellent solution.
PROSThe B2W products that we use (Estimate, Track and Maintain) are easy to understand and utilize. With a single database, it is easy to maintain each element. The B2W training personnel are excellent communicators and are well versed in the product. Even users with limited experience have been able to use the systems after just a few months. The B2W team is very proactive in adding features to improve the product. The technological base of the platform is very strong.
CONSThe products (Maintain and Schedule in particular) are not yet fully matured. There is no product to manage a truck fleet via a Driver's Daily Log.

The Road to World Class Equipment Maintenance
In 2020, we saw a decreased emergency repair rate from 3.32% in 2019, to 0.02% in 2020. Our scheduling compliance improved by over 20% as well. Our preventive maintenance activities in relation to all maintenance activities improved as well nearly tipping the scale from mostly corrective maintenance to a majority of proactive and preventive maintenance. All in all our experience and improvements have been great. A few performance issues are currently causing some heartburn, but that is currently being troubleshot and may have no relation to the software itself.
PROSAll great products start with a simple idea and as that idea becomes reality we quickly see the value and that drives the identification of other needs and wants. What I like most about this product is the conversation that takes place between the product development team and our team. These conversation lead to great ideas and that then turns into the release of vital tools that further support our team on the road to world class equipment maintenance. This is, and I hope continues to support why I believe Maintain stands out from its competitors..
CONSGrowing pains are oftentimes misidentified as "Cons" or "dislikes". In most cases the dislike expressed about the software are just symptoms related to a feature that simply just have not been developed yet. "Yet" being the key word. With that being said, a few of our growing pains are related to the need for more advance and customizable reporting, dashboards and alerts and notifications. The reporting tools available are primitive and very much limited. Not having the ability for a user to create custom reports independently is challenging. Dashboards are useful, but do not come close to meeting our expectations in regards to customization, user group and security roles. Lastly, with no notifications or alerts our team continues to face challenges in regards to new request being generated, or the notification to a requestor that their request has been completed. Again, these are growing pains. We understand that many of these needs are being worked on as we speak, and we understand that we are impatient and what them now. But, we are excited to see what the B2W Maintain development team brings to the table this year. I will say our expectations are high so we hope everyone brings their "A" game in 2021!
Reason for choosing B2W Maintain
Ajax purchased Maintain before my employment. I cannot be certain, but I would assume I would have still selected Maintain due to the fact that we use estimate, track and inform. I have however have used several other CMMS software throughout my career both as a mechanic, management and now as a director and I can confidently say that Maintain ranks near the top only falling short due to the limited reporting abilities, dashboard customization, and notifications or alerts. But, again these are items being worked on by the development team and we are eagerly awaiting their release.

Very useful to construction companies....
Using B2W Maintain allows our company to fully visualize the status of all the machines/equipment. It helps to reduce cost of sudden breakdown because problems were identified already in the beginning and we are able to schedule a check up. The company was able to see/monitor the cost.
