### Most mentioned pros

- It's a very comprehensive software that has practically all the tools a maintenance supervisor or manager needs to control their department, from preventive maintenance planning to inventory control.
- eMaint is a useful tool for managing inventory control and work orders, including PMs, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance.
- One of the biggest strengths of eMaint CMMS is its strong security and reliability, which ensures that maintenance data and asset information remain protected and accessible only to authorized users.

### Most mentioned cons

- The x4 servers can be slow, which creates issues, when multiple users logged into admin account the session is not isolated and you can run into collisions with other users
- My least favorite thing about emaint has to do with our company and that is the security firewall don’t let emaint talk with our plc and other plant systems
- Unfortunately, we won't be able to have admin access, so if we need to make any changes to our backend then we are forced to wait for anyone with admin access to help us.

Our overall experience has been pretty good I would have to say. Seems like the eMaint Customer Success is something they strive for as a company. They want you to help you succeed with the CMMS and tailor it to fit you company's needs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Compared to Maximo, which we used for 13+ years the associated cost is way more affordable. Also, our CSM is a great communicator as well as a get it done type of person. Willing to try and help however possible to resolve your issues.

#### Cons

The worst thing for us as a group is the future work orders and how they work with workflow rules. They just need to generate to open status with regards to lead-time days/ projection length. Sometimes the rules seem to get confused and when they do populate from future to open some of the fields may not be filled in thus requiring some effort to get those corrected. Also, you need to be able to put a due date of your choice in when building the PM. You should not have to write a workflow rule to make it have a due date at the end of the month.

#### Reasons for choosing eMaint CMMS

We as a company of 120+ reviewed several CMMS programs when trying to make a decision of whether or not to retain Maximo or jump ship to a new platform. At the end of the day, eMaint was to most functional and cost-effective solution for us. It gives the end user many tools to configure the CMMS to their liking and business expectations.

#### Reasons for switching to eMaint CMMS

We utilized Maximo for 13+ years working under Kinder Morgan and was purchased by a new company than need to make a decision on what CMMS platform to use to keep in compliance. The annual re-occurring cost of Maximo vs eMaint was a key factor. eMaint was more affordable for our company size and structure.

### Great Product, but Support Suffers

Great product, but support lacking. Fluke never answers the help line on my first call. I usually have to send an email. I have to take multiple screenshots and document exactly how it was working before, and what has changed. It's a lot of work on my part when there is trouble. Due to customization, it often requires a Tier II specialist to understand what the workflows should do.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Customization and ability to graphically display assets, parts, plant layout... The workflows are easy to create and edit. The windows explorer function that allows you to display all work orders in a preselected filter is great. I love that you can upload every manual/document/picture to an asset. The product is outstanding.

#### Cons

Support Team is not effective. Migrations Team abandoned the cutover specialist on cutover evening and left my plant without support for hours. Fluke had a big Conference Event and did not make plans to complete cutover on schedule. Reports are enterprise, and thus shared between sites. Another site accidentally deleted some of my reports that had been customized. It took days of work to restore what was lost. Reports/dashboards should be saved and able to restore. They had to be completely rebuilt from my old notes.

Overall my experience with E-maintenance is exceptional. The team has worked with me to modify our accounts to fit our specific needs. Our CSM is always touching base to see if there is more that they able to do to assist our needs. Hopefully our team decides to move to X5. I llok forward to working with the team in the future.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I find the system easy to navigate and to editable to our companies need. I have the ability to adjust all the forms and criteria to meet the standards that are needed for our procedures.

#### Cons

I believe this is a con just because we are still using X4, but i would say that my biggest problem with with the system is that as a admin i have to consistently adjust licensing for users via email chains whenever my operations team members move sites or are then positioned over multiple sites. I think once a user is added to the system that i should be able to just allow them to see what is needed.

eMaint has proven to be a highly valued collaborator and an indispensable tool for our maintenance department. #### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Delivers an intuitive user experience while maintaining a robust feature set - PM scheduling, Inventory management, and detailed reporting.

#### Cons

Subscription model (billing) + legacy support. The payment model is subjective but maybe offering a standalone executable with one limited support could be a viable option. Especially considering some customer may only need local access and prefer the legacy interface.

#### Ratings breakdown

What I like most about eMaint is that it helps me manage the department more easily. It's a very comprehensive software that has practically all the tools a maintenance supervisor or manager needs to control their department, from preventive maintenance planning to inventory control.

#### Cons

What I like least about the software is that they sometimes make changes to the user interface or some modules without validating them with the users. Although most updates are good, there are times when they cause problems

Our company was rather timid to begin. At least our plant. The tech’s didn’t understand, they didn’t like the change. From management perspective, being able to track pm’s, being able to look at preventative maintenance instead of chasing the fire has been a relief! Focusing on the health of an asset and even the costs, the system has paid for itself. In the background, it even weeded out some technicians that weren’t performing pm’s correctly and stealing company time.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The system can easily be navigated, information is easily accessible and amazing support offered. The interface is self explanatory or easy to figure out where you should be and steps are laid out very well. If there’s any questions, the support page is an outstanding source for help, eMaint university has useful information and our cms can be noted as a reason for success.

#### Cons

Very little within the system itself. My issue would be from the admin down and lack of communication

#### Vendor response

Thank you so much for sharing this detailed feedback — we truly appreciate it. It’s great to hear that eMaint has been easy to navigate and that our support resources and eMaint University have been valuable for your team. We’re also grateful for your honest note about communication challenges on the admin side; understanding those dynamics helps us better support customers through change. We’re thrilled to hear how eMaint has helped shift your plant from reactive work to true preventive maintenance, giving clearer visibility into asset health, costs, and overall performance. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We’re grateful to be part of your maintenance journey.

It has been a wonderful experience all together after implementation into x5. X4 was very limited to organization and capabilities compared to what we were showed in X5. And expectations are very well worth the wait.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the application for emaint mobile. The ease of the application has helped as a technician. I cant wait for the further advancement with AI to take place.

#### Cons

The transition from x4 to x5 was very difficult. But our implementation rep and our customer succession planner Carlos has been the reason why will never leave emaint.

It’s been a great dollar around experience. We have seen that we have gotten in front of many problems since we have the ability to go back and look at the things that keep happening over and over.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The ability to document all the maintenance we do in particular assets, not having to go back through pieces of paper or different files to pull that maintenance and know what we did

#### Cons

Having to run Internet or broadband throughout the plant, so the guys could do their inspections with their tablets in the field

#### Vendor response

Hi Miles, Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s good to hear that consolidating maintenance records for each asset has been useful and has removed the need to search through paper files or scattered documents. Having that information organized in one place is a key benefit of the system. We also appreciate your note about extending internet or broadband coverage to support field inspections on tablets. Connectivity requirements can be a challenge in large plant environments, and your comment highlights that dependency clearly. Thank you as well for sharing the positive impact you’ve seen in identifying recurring issues and getting ahead of problems. Your experience provides helpful insight into how the platform supports long‑term maintenance visibility.

Very good. Fairly intuitive for users. [sensitive content hidden] my CSM account manager has been extremely helpful in getting things done.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

ease of use by end user technician. My team has adapted to it nicely, entering work orders, checking off and closing out PMs etc.

#### Cons

Tech support by phone call rarely does anyone answer. It is nice to be able to ask someone the best next step so I can send out emails with issues with the right information.

Now the guys get a pop-up alert on their phones telling them to perform the tasks and they usually do. The inventory alerts are also helpful, because we were constantly running low on consumable items.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I was impressed by how quickly the support team ( [sensitive content hidden]) answered my chat requests and did not just provide me with scripted responses. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the setup happened and the new system does not lose any PM schedule information as our previous system did. It’s good enough to check what tires are remaining in stock before I head back out to the floor.

#### Cons

Sometimes the bar charts will freeze up and prevent scrolling until I exit the whole page and return. This is very annoying. The PO portion of the system is also somewhat clunky.

Our post-go-live experience has been the most helpful. Implementation into the new X5 system went so rough that the team assisting us with issues after going live have had far more work on their hands than they should've had.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Work order and PM filing, task library, partitioning of sites, quick import process, reliable support post-go-live.

#### Cons

Implementation. Lots of data points were missed or imported properly, and some training was suboptimal.
