### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 246 reviews (57%)
- 4 stars: 154 reviews (36%)
- 3 stars: 20 reviews (5%)
- 2 stars: 4 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 5 reviews (1%)

### Most mentioned pros

- eMaint is a useful tool for managing inventory control and work orders, including PMs, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance.
- The main thing I like about E maint is it helps me keep up with my schedule on my PMs inspections and upcoming work that has to be done.
- It helps our team stay organized by managing work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset tracking in one place. Once you become familiar with the system, it becomes a very useful tool for daily maintenance operations.

### Most mentioned cons

- The x4 servers can be slow, which creates issues, when multiple users logged into admin account the session is not isolated and you can run into collisions with other users
- Unfortunately, we won't be able to have admin access, so if we need to make any changes to our backend then we are forced to wait for anyone with admin access to help us.
- Some sites that were using SAP PM had Asset Tree in use for a Asset search engine and eMaint tree is not having the same functionality so it is not very useful for those kinds of users.

### 6-25-26 eMaint Review by Petrolink Energy, LLC

Our overall experience has been pretty good I would have to say. Seems like the eMaint Customer Success is something they strive for as a company. They want you to help you succeed with the CMMS and tailor it to fit you company's needs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Compared to Maximo, which we used for 13+ years the associated cost is way more affordable. Also, our CSM is a great communicator as well as a get it done type of person. Willing to try and help however possible to resolve your issues.

#### Cons

The worst thing for us as a group is the future work orders and how they work with workflow rules. They just need to generate to open status with regards to lead-time days/ projection length. Sometimes the rules seem to get confused and when they do populate from future to open some of the fields may not be filled in thus requiring some effort to get those corrected. Also, you need to be able to put a due date of your choice in when building the PM. You should not have to write a workflow rule to make it have a due date at the end of the month.

#### Reasons for choosing eMaint CMMS

We as a company of 120+ reviewed several CMMS programs when trying to make a decision of whether or not to retain Maximo or jump ship to a new platform. At the end of the day, eMaint was to most functional and cost-effective solution for us. It gives the end user many tools to configure the CMMS to their liking and business expectations.

#### Reasons for switching to eMaint CMMS

We utilized Maximo for 13+ years working under Kinder Morgan and was purchased by a new company than need to make a decision on what CMMS platform to use to keep in compliance. The annual re-occurring cost of Maximo vs eMaint was a key factor. eMaint was more affordable for our company size and structure.

eMaint made a huge difference when we migrated from another CMMS. It's one of the best on the market, and the minds behind the software are developing new features and technology that will help everyone in maintenance improve their performance and make their work shifts easier.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about eMaint is that it helps me manage the department more easily. It's a very comprehensive software that has practically all the tools a maintenance supervisor or manager needs to control their department, from preventive maintenance planning to inventory control.

#### Cons

What I like least about the software is that they sometimes make changes to the user interface or some modules without validating them with the users. Although most updates are good, there are times when they cause problems

#### Vendor response

It’s good to hear that eMaint has supported your department by providing the tools needed for preventive maintenance planning, inventory control, and overall management. Having those functions in one system is intended to simplify day‑to‑day oversight. We also appreciate your comments about interface and module updates. Feedback like yours highlights the importance of validating updates with users before rollout. Thank you as well for noting the improvement you experienced after migrating from your previous CMMS. Our company was rather timid to begin. At least our plant. The tech’s didn’t understand, they didn’t like the change. From management perspective, being able to track pm’s, being able to look at preventative maintenance instead of chasing the fire has been a relief! Focusing on the health of an asset and even the costs, the system has paid for itself. In the background, it even weeded out some technicians that weren’t performing pm’s correctly and stealing company time.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The system can easily be navigated, information is easily accessible and amazing support offered. The interface is self explanatory or easy to figure out where you should be and steps are laid out very well. If there’s any questions, the support page is an outstanding source for help, eMaint university has useful information and our cms can be noted as a reason for success.

#### Cons

Very little within the system itself. My issue would be from the admin down and lack of communication

#### Vendor response

Thank you so much for sharing this detailed feedback — we truly appreciate it. It’s great to hear that eMaint has been easy to navigate and that our support resources and eMaint University have been valuable for your team. We’re also grateful for your honest note about communication challenges on the admin side; understanding those dynamics helps us better support customers through change. We’re thrilled to hear how eMaint has helped shift your plant from reactive work to true preventive maintenance, giving clearer visibility into asset health, costs, and overall performance. #### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

New layout is much better than X4. Meter reading and parent child features are a big plus. Overlapping PM monthly weekly is a big plus and good feature.

#### Cons

Limited customization. X4 had capabilities of individual customization. Support ticket system. With X4 I could email a customer service rep. Replies were quick within the same day typically and I could directly hold a conversation for assistance. Now I am limited to placing a ticket and it takes weeks for a response. Searching seems clunky and too specific

Very easy to use, user-friendly, high capabilities, secured, all mistakes and deletions I can restore back, great User control and access rights defined and control. Best feature and the most powerful is that every view is a Report that you can easily adopt, change or share between sites and countries.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I implemented eMaint at 35 sites globally until now and it shows as very user friendly and easy to implement CMMS. For us as a multinational and multilingual company it is crucian to have software that automatically translate and utilize different countries and cultures but implementing same data bases as shared and same mandatory workflows so all sites are doing same process in Maintenance and use standardized Task Procedures as best practices.

#### Cons

Some sites that were using SAP PM had Asset Tree in use for a Asset search engine and eMaint tree is not having the same functionality so it is not very useful for those kinds of users.

eMaint has proven to be a highly valued collaborator and an indispensable tool for our maintenance department. Their level of support has been exceptional, from the dedicated assistance provided by [sensitive content hidden] to the responsiveness of their technical support team, who have consistently helped with reporting and system customizations.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Delivers an intuitive user experience while maintaining a robust feature set - PM scheduling, Inventory management, and detailed reporting.

#### Cons

Subscription model (billing) + legacy support. The payment model is subjective but maybe offering a standalone executable with one limited support could be a viable option. Especially considering some customer may only need local access and prefer the legacy interface.
