customer service has be great.

tracking ease and over all help with maintenance and mileage

i like that we can track each truck with ease from our phone and computers. also it is going to help accounting with keeping up with miles traveled and fuel used

CONS

a little difficult to grasp for start up i still have a lot to learn about setting up and the trainers go at a fast paced.

Keeps Employees and Clients Honest

This system has helped me save money by adjusting idle times and route choices employees have taken at time. It also helps me track payroll time because I can track when vehicles enter or leave a geofence. It has also saved me money when a couple former unscrupulous clients have tried to cheat me out of payment by saying we did not do the job. I could send them PDF files with our route, images of where we were and when. After we proved we did our job, we got paid with no further argument. Likewise, we have not had similar occurrences since.

PROS

The best thing about this system is the ability to account for my vehicles at all times. It is beneficial to also know if there are any things like hard breaking or acceleration going on. I also track other things like routes used and idle time. This saves money and cuts response time down.

CONS

There is not really anything I do not like about it. I like all the functionality even if I do not use all of it all the time. There has been some recent issue with cellular coverage during the switch from 3G to 4G but it was not serious enough to warrant any concern with the software or the devices.

The overall cost was the major point of consideration over other providers as well as customer review research.

A simple solution to ELD with no contracts, but lacks good quality tech support & customer service.

PROS

Simple installation, plug and play, no contracts which allows the ability to search for other options or at least wait until the bigger companies ie Feetmatics & Omnitracks remove their contracts.

CONS

Tech support is horrible. They always blame the user for errors. Equipment software needs to be updated frequently otherwise your driver will someone how find a way to place them in violation. The system has even send us a message to switch to paper logs on more then one occasion. There are times when the unit does not switch automatically to drive mode and the driver needs to manually do so, or vise versa. Mileage is sometimes not recorded automatically and in one occasion nothing at all from one state to the other. This is supposed to be done automatically by the system, yet the driver is at fault according to tech support. There is no accountability from their support system, their reply is always vague. Wait time to get a hold of someone is on average 20-45min wait. If you are in East Coast you must wait until they are open since they are in West Coast. If you are a 24Hr Company then you are screwed, they told us they are switching to a 24Hr Support in March but we still waiting on it. If you send an email or leave a voice message about an error or issue it will take about a day or two for someone to reply letting you know they are looking into it. Hope they fix this otherwise we jumping ship. Overall I'm disappointed in choosing this company and regretful to have put our company onboard one that doesn't have they stuff together.

Great Tracker!

Definitely like using the tracker. Use it to verify time on jobs as well.

PROS

Works great for dispatching. Have it pulled up each day and when I get a service call I can see where the closest person is.

Great Product

PROS

We like that we can monitor our trucks activites in a timely fashion. We can look and see where they are and how they are being driven. Its very simple to hop onto the app and pull up the information we are looking for. It has been a great system to have in place at a great value.

CONS

We have been fully satisfied with GPS Trackit for what we use it for. We dont need all features however the ones we use we are happy with.

Reasons for switching to GPS Trackit

They were not integrated with online use. Only on each truck individually.

GPS Trackit

We are a business that picks up jobs during the day and it is good to know where everyone is so we can see who may be closest to a job that might come up.

PROS

The general features are easy to understand. The maps are easy to read.

CONS

The GPS is not always correct as far as timing. It may show that someone is driving 10 miles away from the shop, and then they suddenly appear at the shop a minute later.

Very good. Response to concerns has taken more than a few days at times. Follow up to concerns good. Changes in staff over the last year has been noted along with process effects.

CONS

Transition to the Cloud version was very clunky, still have down time access. Navigation takes longer than the previous version.

Tracking made easy

I've had a pleasant experience. Customer service is great! They are patient and very knowledgeable.

PROS

GPS's feature to hoover over a point to see street view is helpful when we are trying to pinpoint what job they are at.

CONS

Removing trucks no longer owned from the list is not easy. You have to call for them to do it. it would be more functional if there was an edit feature where you could remove vehicles.

Easy to use as we did not have a GPS tracking system, we run a small fleet and the value of knowing where the trucks are is very helpful.

CONS

The only thing I would say is setting up a new driver as we are a small fleet and don't set up new people very often.

Great Product and Service

this has truly been a great investment for the company in order to be more efficient with our crews in the field. We are able to know where they are in an instant and are able to contact them if need be to detour them to an unexpected service call if we are already in the area.

PROS

knowing where each rig is located precisely and the accuracy of the vehicle placement is almost exact. Also being able to rerun a previous days routes has proven to be quite helpful as well. It also has helped keep our crews more accountable to their locations. Being able to see where a truck is and knowing its Approximate ETA to destinations.

CONS

took some time to learn the program, but once you have it figured out its pretty simple.

Does not listen to the customer…

No training, got the units and had a contact for install and training but after several times trying to reach him, I was told to figure it out myself. The videos are on the web site…

PROS

Well before the update it worked well. Now the system is almost useless to me.

CONS

Your updates. Who ever updated the reports needs to be FIRED!!! No beta testing and has not worked in a month. This is by far the worst company I have worked with that blatantly ignores the customer. Ignore us long enough and we all start to just walk away like I am about to…

One of the best out there

I like this software because it's really easy to use I've tried other one but they are so difficult

I would like to be able to edit driving time because I've had issues in the past with this either driver or mechanic error

Customer Service like no other

We have been a customer of GPS TRACKIT since 2011. I still receive calls from them every once in a while checking up on us, making sure we are happy with the products, and asking what they could do to make my experience better. I received a call from Michelle Grace asking those very types of questions on 8/19. I had noticed a little while ago that on the android app when looking at groups, that it did not give the drivers name when you selected a vehicle from the map. I at the time was extremely busy so I didn't have much time to talk or to go over the issue. Michelle said that she would look into the issue and push to get the problem resolved as soon as possible. I received multiple calls and emails letting me know where she was in the process of fixing my concern. On 8/25 I woke up and my phone had updated the GPSTRACKIT app. I logged in and found that the issue was fixed. Just after 8am I received a call from Michelle, I was excited to tell her that it works. She was involved from beginning to end and was sincerely more concerned with the problem than I was. I look forward to future calls from Michelle. She was excellent to work with. Its rare these days to see an individual and a company to take customer service to such a high level. Thank you Michelle for all your help, the change is going to save me and others a considerable amount of time when we need to check on our techs on the go.

Long term GPSTrackit user

PROS

We have used these GPS units for about 10 years. They are very easy to install in trucks, just plug them into the service port under the dash. Provides realtime data about where all of our fleet is at every moment of the day.

CONS

No complaints about the product. Equipment price is a little high to purchase vs lease
