I find it easy to use, with a clean interface, and the setup process is simple. It’s easier to use than other platforms I’ve tried, the devices are ready when we need to activate them or move them to another vehicle, and I can easily find what I’m looking for. I like the tracking and weather features, which let us check road conditions where our field inspectors are. The reporting helps us share information with management, export device details, and identify vehicles that need a gateway operating system update. Motive also keeps adding features. We got good help from the implementation team, and the program is running smoothly. I find it usable and very easy to learn. #### Cons The biggest thing that needs improvement is the reporting section. I feel like the built-in reports just are not enough, and there’s no clear way to easily build the custom report I want with every bit of data I need. We’ve had three accidents in the four years we’ve used it, and I received a push notification on my phone only once, even though I’m listed to receive them. Once we put a device in a unit, I can track it wherever it goes. The web and mobile app interfaces are very user friendly, and I can see all our trucks and assets in real time. I also value the safety features, truck inspections, and driver scores that let me check whether our drivers are driving safely. I think Motive is one of the best in the network on the safety side. I found the initial setup very easy. #### Cons I think connectivity could improve. The AI dash cam we have isn’t dual SIM, so we lose signal all the time and don’t get a good GPS reading frequently. The tracking and monitoring ability that is provided by Motive, gives our organization real-time information as to where all of our vehicles are located at any given time. Yes, it even shows the vehicles traveling down the roadway in real-time. The monitoring system allows us the ability to coach drivers based on an actual scoring system that is provided by the telematics of the vehicle. Seeing (with video) how your drivers actually drive is so important. Drivers with poor driving habits are allowed to be identified and coached. This gives transportation risk management a whole new perspective allowing you to reduce incident frequencies. #### Cons It would be great if Motive could redesign how videos are catalogued when a driver creates an event. The ultimate benefit of this system is to eliminate risky drivers and reduce accident frequencies.
