Can I Count the Ways I Love JotForm?

We use JotForm in my organization for all kinds of needs. It has allowed us to take a lot of processes that were email dependent and completely streamline them. Our Team Members in the field love the ease of submitting support tickets and completing other processes digitally, and our support center Team Members love being able to receive all the information that they need to support our field Team Members without any back and forth. We are absolute JotForm evangelists here.

Pros

Extremely user friendly and intuitive, flexible, inexpensive, great design, tons of added plug-ins, amazing logic branching capability. BEST FORMS TOOL EVER.

Cons

Absolutely nothing. They should make me an affiliate though!

There's No Better Form Builder!

I love Jotform. I love how often they roll out new features. They continue to add new features that I didn't even know I needed. I run a large online store and have many different form needs. The dynamic nature of how each form can be set up and truly earned a lot of new revenue for my business. For example, my company offers custom phone cases and the ability for customers to select different sizes, models, colors, and attach their own images is extremely valuable!

Pros

I've used Jotform for several years now and what I like most about the software is the ease of use, amount of form features, and customer support!

Cons

The price...at first. At first I thought the idea of paying for a form builder was ridiculous. But after playing with all of the features I realize that the amount of in depth coding knowledge I would have needed (or paid for) is would have been far more expensive then the small subscription fee I pay. Plus, I believe there is a free plan if you do not need all of the features that I utilize.

A functional and practical helper

It's easy to create an account. You can find a lot of help through descriptions and videos. I would recommend Jotform at any time. For a "non profit" - association is also the possibility to use the paid account only temporarily.

Pros

Jotform is relatively simple and intuitive to use. It helped a lot to create a form exactly to my needs. Form fields that "calculate", a response for the user, the export of the form data into a table. Features that I would otherwise have missed with my provider. The free version also offers a lot of possibilities for the user.

Cons

For my relatively modest needs - I'm just an amateur user - I miss nothing so far.
At most the fact that it is only in English ;-))

JotForm is secure, user-friendly and quick

Pros

I like the fact that it's easy to modify forms, and you don't need to bother saving them (the system autosaves). It's also an encrypted solution, which makes the forms ideal for keeping data private.

Cons

There are a limited number of forms available on the non-paid plan.

JotForm Review

We have used it to build everything from simple contact forms to much more complex forms and we can embed it right on our website.

Pros

I like that you can use it to build custom forms with a vast array of data for free (or relatively inexpensive).

Cons

The only thing I don't really like is it has some limitations when embedding the form on a webpage.

A good solution with some limitations

We use jotforms on our website as our CRM can automatically capture the data that is submitted saving us manual data entry. We also use them at exhibitions and with customers for this reason.

Pros

Very easy to use and create nice looking forms. API for integration with other software and reporting.

Cons

No real Google analytics integration for the form submissions so it has to be botched. Support agents tend to parrot FAQs and then pass issues higher up until they get solved after a long time.

Easy Customizable Form Builder

What I've enjoyed most about JotForm is that not only do you have the opportunity to select great templates, but you can customize the forms to your needs. The integration is simple, quick and easy. Which in the end saves me time and money. Plus you can use the forms for any purpose, not only for website integrations. My overall experience has been a positive one with JotForm.

Pros

The functionality and template selections put my mind at ease. Building a website can be easy and fun when you are just starting out. I found out that some platforms to build out my websites didn't have the option to customize the forms that I needed for the goals I had set. I came across JotForm and was able to integrate the template of my choice into my website with ease.

Cons

I had a little trouble accessing my forms in the beginning but with the new updates that JotForm had made, I found that I made the right choice when it comes to customizable forms.

Amazingly easy to use form generator with the ability to personalize and change with various needs

As the administrator for a non profit- we have a lot of applicants that need screening. We can make a different form for each of the different needs we may have and gather the information in an easy to use format not just for our staff- but for the applicants. We are able to use the forms to gather information on our staff and leaders, create sign ups for events and screen applicants easliy with one program.

Pros

I love how easy it is to create a form that has personality- I like changing themes and colors and making a splash- not just asking for information. I used the free version and it was so complete and moldable to my needs- that I never had to upgrade.

Cons

At this time I have no complaints- the software meets and exceeds my needs

JotForm is the best platform for an office-wide survey

Overall, JotForm is easy to use. I like how fast I can add, modify or remove questions depending on my needs. You can also clone other forms you previously created and just edit it so that it can meet the demands of the new event or office program you are planning.

Pros

What I like the most about JotForm is that it made it easy for us to create office-wide surveys. Before, we were using google forms and it is a pain in the neck because it has a lot of runabouts for you to create a simple survey. It made it possible for us to create extensive surveys for less than 10 minutes which is cool because in other survey platforms, it will consume a good 30 minutes of your life creating those simple survey forms. Good thing as well is that you can easily export the survey answers to a simple CSV file or Excel file so that it will be easier for people to data crunch the answers.

Cons

I don't have anything to least like about JotForm, perhaps I miss the 2017 version because the 2018 is a lot more complicate but still easier than other survey platforms out there!

Fast, efficient form tool for any website

I've recommended Jotform to other small-medium businesses. It does what it does well, and is just about the lowest cost out there.

Pros

We used the free version of Jotform for about 2 years on our website to acquire leads. We eventually grew out of it and upgraded (very competitive price compared to other form tools). We embedded the forms in two different websites, using two different platforms. Very happy with the user end functionality, ability to customize, and overall capabilities. The form is always quick to load and it's easy to access inboxes and assign recipients.

Cons

Ideally, it would've been great to see more analytics on how people were using the forms. It also didn't always look great on mobile - certainly functional on a cell phone, but didn't snap to size quite as smoothly as I would have preferred.

Excellent features in an outdated design

As a service-based business, I use JotForm to collect information about clients, have clients sign contracts, and collect deposits to secure services. It is incredibly easy, professional, and convenient for my small business.

Pros

The drag-and-drop form builder makes a customized form come together in minutes! It's so easy, and there are plenty of plug-ins and supported apps/programs (like paypal, stripe, etc.) to get all the info I need in one form. The team is also frequently updating features to be more effective; for instance, they recently changed the system for displaying, downloading, and interacting with all the submissions for any given form into a less clunky and more user-friendly format.

Cons

The graphics and aesthetics of the site and forms could be more up-to-date and visually appealing. It is clean and well-constructed, but I wish it were a bit more modern in its look (both on my end and the clients').

Jotform review

Jotform takes a while to learn how to use, but once you learn it can do almost anything

Pros

Jotform offers a lot of customization with your form, it allows you to almost everything you need. Integrates with 3rd party sites, such as paypal. It is visually appealing.

Cons

It is not easy to figure out how to create a form like Google forms, there is a lot to learn and they do not really explain how to use all of the features. The coding can be difficult as well if you do not have experience with coding.

Create Forms with Ease

Pros

Jotform is an awesome way to make online forms/surveys with ease. I personally have used it in my role as a recruiter. I used it to create a sign in form at job fairs so that my sign in sheet would be digital and that the information could easily be uploaded into a spreadsheet. Jot form helps me stay organized and ahead of my recruitment competition. I can easily follow up with applicants with out having to read their handwriting.

Cons

No real cons at all. Jot form is great.

Business forms made easy

We run the forms for all our websites through JotForm. The form responses are collected in a database and we are able to display the results in html tables on our intranet. There is even BI on tap, so questions that have defined responses, such as a multiple choice questions, can be visually represented on web pages as graphs. When it comes to collecting information, JotForm has become an indispensable tool in our arsenal.

Pros

I became a JotForm user when Adobe sunsetted its FormsCentral product and I've never looked back. With a little effort, truly anyone can build an attractive, functional form using JotForm. You don't have to know any html, CSS, JavaScript, etc. That said, you will probably have to know some CSS to get a form to look just the way you want it to if you are adding it to your website. At least that is my experience. While the the form builder does allow for extensive customization, I've found that I've had to add my own CSS to achieve the perfect look I was seeking. Fortunately, JotForm makes tweaking the form look using your own code very easy.

JotForm is a very mature and feature-rich platform that contemplates nearly any form need, from conditionals, to calculations, to autoresponders. All field types are available and it's easy to set the properties for each, such as required, character limits, hover text, example text, etc. Using URL parameters, you can pre-populate your form fields, too. You can also use hidden fields to perform calculations or set up honey pots for security. Perhaps the nicest thing about JotForm is all its options are available to every form you build, regardless of which level you buy (or even if the free tier is all you need). What you pay for is the number of forms and the number of submissions.

There are literally hundreds of plugins that extend functionality, all included. Customer support is top notch and documentation extensive.

Cons

We purchased a tier that allows up to ten users, however, only the primary user can create forms up to the tier limit--the others users essentially have the limits of the free plan. The only way they can avoid those limits is by moving forms they create to the primary user and sharing the form. I've also occasionally experienced issues with payment.

LOVE Jotform

Overall, it solved the problem of collecting and curating information. It keeps it more private and protects our clients.

Pros

I am in a business where clients need to get me forms they have collected (for photography clients), and I curate the info for them. It can be tedious and time consuming, but with JotForm, it goes much faster. We are able to better collaborate on projects, keep client's information private by keeping it out of emails/texts, and streamline their ability to turn it in.

Cons

Occasionally, when editing a form, the changes are lost. But this has been quite rare.

Very user-friendly!

Pros

I like how simple and straightforward the form designer is. Drag and drop functionality and it is really easy to build a form.

Cons

The price - there are alternative form solutions such as Google Forms. We were looking for a form to use for implementations and could not justify paying for the features we needed from JotForm.
