JotForm is a cloud-based form automation solution that enables users to publish online forms and record customer responses. It helps users to generate leads, collect order payments, conduct customer surveys, manage job applications and register guests for events.

JotForm features a one-page-per-question survey format and several built-in templates and themes that help users to customize their forms. The solution also features a central dashboard, and the form builder supports emojis, icons, animations, video backgrounds and more.

JotForm offers plugins for PayPal, Google Drive, Dropbox, MailChimp, Box, OneBip, SalesForce and Zoho CRM. Users can also add widgets like checklists, image sliders, terms and conditions, date selections, tables and more to their forms.

JotForm offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via email, chat, training videos and an online support forum.

    For any job or vacancy, it is important to collect the exact details of the applicant. JotForm lets you not only create a form that is suitable for this purpose but it also provides a high level of flexibility regarding the fields you want to add to your form. There is an email notification system to inform you about each new update. This is really effective in keeping updated with the ongoings with the job applications. The best part is that a lot of the features are made available for free. Therefore, it compares really well with all of its competitors.

    Cons

    Graphing the content is just another difficult thing. Ther are only limited customizable options available to set how a notification should pop up.

    JotForm is great not just for making forms. You can also incorporate them into an email or even your website. The versatility is wonderful.

    Lots of options for forms and It integrates perfectly with Stripe. I use this for all my monthly training packs!

    ITs really easy to use

    Used this software for collecting preliminary info from models for a casting call.
    Quick and easy to use and great for organizing something such as auditions or casting.

    Cons

    Kinda clunky; didn't have the same vibe/feel of a google form and the way it emailed you the data, made it difficult to copy+paste it directly from the email.

    Amazing. This has streamlined communication and added a level of consistency to collaboration that my company didn't previously have.

    Pros

    This thing is great- it solves nearly any problem on 1 hour's notice (while you search for a longer-term solution with deeper integration)

    I currently use jotform for QA Surveys, Workorder generation (with unique, auto-incrementing serial numbers), labourer timesheets (where I can verify their check-in locations by using their IP addresses), intra-office action requests... and most of these forms are intergrated with Google Sheets to keep a running database of everything that's ever been submitted for later analysis.

    Software is sold by packages of how many forms you get to submit... buy the Premium package. Once you get these running full speed, your office will generate thousands of these annually. All are straightforward, easy to track, and accountable.

    Cons

    The User Interface is somewhat limited. I can see why they want to control it (and force users to leave plenty of whitespace) but there are times when I want a no-messing-around, high-density interface to just get the job done.

    The sheer range of features available is incredible, but never overwhelming because non-core functionality is managed through "plugins", which have their own catalogue and are all included in the subscription.
    The new "cards" presentation mode bring JotForm up to scratch other other modern survey platforms. Their pricing is on par with the rest of the market, but the value of services received is higher. Also love that whitelabeling is included with all paid subscriptions.

    Cons

    I'm not too clear what their roadmap is. This makes is difficult to tell if their feature-set will grow with my needs. It seems that their development team are perhaps outsourced, or at least quite isolated from the business and support side of the company, since official replies on their support forums can be inconsistent. Unfortunately I hit a bug in their new "cards" feature – my report was acknowledged, but they were unable to give an ETA for a fix and some months later I still haven't received any follow-up.

    Filling out my form was easy. I uploaded documents with no problem. I was reassured that I completed the required questions by receiving an confirmation.

    Pros

    I like that Jotform sends you a confirmation email of all the questions you answer. I gives you a good feeling knowing that you completed something correctly.

    Cons

    No room for complaint! With sone forms you have uploading problems but my uploads went through smoothly.

    Has all the basic fields required for the form, such as name, telephone number, date, number, text
    Has many useful gadgets you can search and plug into the form
    Drag and drop interface makes it easy to design a form without coding knowledge
    Field settings allow you to customise the form further
    Email settings very useful, for creating notifications and autoresponders
    Ability to customise Thank You page after the form is submitted
    Ability to create conditions, to make the form more relevant and user friendly
    Ability to share, search and use form templates created by other users
    As an old customer, enjoy preferential pricing

    Cons

    I would like to see the Signature field/gadget improve, to make signing on a smartphone a better experience
    I would like to see Take a Photo as a standard field option, and a form will only ask permission to access the Camera once, on the Smartphone. Currently if I enter four photo fields, the form would ask me four times about accessing the Camera.
    I would like to get help on how to add a further answser to a specific question, for example if being asked about health conditions, and a client has multiple health conditions, he can click on a "+" icon to add a further health condition.

    I love how easy to use and user friendly JotForm is. I am not someone who understands computer technology and coding. But I found JotForm extremely easy to use and I was able to make a professional looking form with it. Thanks to the registration form I was able to create, my company has been able to expand our services and make our programming more accessible. JotForm's forum is also a great source for quick and useful help and ideas for improving your forms!

    Cons

    I wish there was a multiselect calendar function/widget that would let you select multiple dates on a single calendar without hard locking those dates so no one else can select them. However, there are plenty of work arounds and great calendar and date selection features.

    Overall, it has been a very easy to use option for making my website look professional and allowing me to gather necessary information from clients.

    Pros

    The forms are easy to create, easy to use, and look beautiful. I easily built a customized "contact me" form for my photography website.

    Cons

    Limits on number of forms completed before you end up having to pay. It can also be a bit cumbersome to compile a long/detailed form, but the pre-made pieces make it go together well.

    Our overall experience is outstanding. We are a customer service organization and the forms we create help us to provide better customer service and assess our own strengths and weaknesses.

    Pros

    The Jotform tools and formats are completely intuitive and easy to use from creating forms, personalizing formats, adding pictures and logos, editing content, receiving and reviewing submissions. If I ever have a question or difficulty creating and editing a document, the tutorials answer most questions and Live Chat is extremely helpful.

    Cons

    We have used Jotform for many years. If I have ever noticed a weakness, I usually receive notice of upgrades or new opportunities with Jotform.

    Amazing tool - highly recommend JotForm.

    Pros

    JotForm is a tool I don't think many people have heard of, but it's a great product that I use all the time. Even the free version offers pretty much anything you could think of on a form, and all while being highly customizable. I especially appreciated the ability for the user to include an audio snippet, as well as upload their own video/file. The paid version takes the branding off and offers a bit more customization if you're trying to include it within an existing website. Google sheets integration is awesome, allowing you to quickly compile form entries in a central place.

    Cons

    I don't think there are many cons - perhaps the ability to purchase a paid version at a lower price point, but I didn't find it particularly expensive and have used the pro version a few times. Had a couple issues integrating it into a WordPress page at one point but I don't think it's an issue any longer.

    I think discovering this has been amazing for our team, we are a team of organic farmers. We deliver produce to consumers directly. With such simple forms interface we are able to design forms to take orders from different customers seamlessly! Features like autoresponder, conditions and user CSS are so useful!
    But the true power of this comes with the APIs they expose and all the integrations they provide, if you are good with programming, there is so much you can do!

    We use google sheets integration extensively to track availability and use JOTFORM API to automatically publish that to the forms. I also have scripts to consolidate the orders, and send out packing lists from a server. Saved us a tonne of time and effort.

    A very responsive customer support as well!

    Cons

    Sometimes I wish they had a phone customer support, but their email support has very quick turnaround, si i guess it's okay for now!

    I think user Javascript has been disabled for security reasons but maybe they can find a way to ensure security and write JS as well

    Keeps all information in one spot. My techs are able to submit requests from their smartphones. Historical data is collected. Highly customizable.

    Cons

    There are a couple of glitches that I’ve found like when I sort my submittals and update one the screen will reset, but it’s minor compared to how useful of a tool it is.

    Jotform is relatively straight forward to use, and has some great user-friendly features to get you going on a hosted form. For those that don't have the option or choose not to host forms on their own server, it's a perfect option. It does give the ability to really extend it out with some custom abilities which is good for more complex forms. I've been happy with it every time I've used it.

    Cons

    Don't really have a con, I just don't use it as often as I do as I prefer to host my own forms....but for those times when there's no possibility of hosting your own, Jotform is an excellent solution that I would highly recommend.
