Great software that has really helped us take our remediation business to the next level.
HousecallPro has helped us take our business to the next level and makes dispatching, estimating, and bookkeeping much easier. I've used other competitive products in the past, but nothing has come close to the features of HousecallPro.
PROSPrice list flexibility, automated emails, estimate approvals and invoicing, and dispatching to make sure everyone's on the same page.
CONSThe automated emails should absolutely be tied to job tags, but because they're tied to customer tags, we have to add and remove them vigilantly if we have repeat customers with multiple properties or different service needs. I wish the estimate approval process was more of an eSignature process as opposed to any party just clicking a button.
Reasons for switching to Housecall Pro
mHelpDesk's only benefit was the integration with HomeAdvisor. But otherwise it was garbage by comparison.

Great app but incomplete
I really want to like the app as it is quite smooth genrally speaking, however a lot of basic features are missing and there has been a lot of growing pain issues like price breakdown being off for a while, or the first day using it their servers had issues and I was unable to complete an invoice etc.
PROSI enjoy how smooth the app is to use genrally-for tier pricing this app is almost exclusively designed for that feature.-billing and pricing can be quite convenient-app has some professional features.
CONS-the app promised a tap reader option and lower cc rates, that was false advertising outside of us-the app is very incomplete, for example there's no way to have estimates display a time limit like good for 30 days etc.-there is also no way to enter a job description on a job by job basis which is a bit frustrating, only way to do it is modify service descriptions everytime.-the picture message feature sounded cool when I signed up however I quickly learned it only works on imessage which is really poor design, service titan worked on anything.-it has been quiet difficult to express certain terms for certain situations because setup is a blanket thing so if you offered similar services that will work but if your offering multiple trades it will be clunky.

House Call pro for Beginners
I experience is once I got a call from my service, Even I have low connection from my data signal, I can clearly get audio call and can access the apps i needed
PROSI like the most is you can access any apps or application interface and you can access this in real time , you can also use your mobile phone

Just right!
Housecall Pro has been great overall. There are many options for add on features, if needed. The program itself has plenty of features for a small business.
PROSOne of the best features is the activity feed for each job/estimate. You can scroll through the history and see who made what changes and it is time stamped as well. This has been very helpful for our team.
CONSWhen an estimate is sent via email, there is no option to be notified if the email did not go through. The only way to check is to go to each estimate individually and see if the email went through. This can be tedious and timely.

Housecall Pro for a GC
It has been great. We do all of our estimates and invoicing using Houcecall Pro. We also use it to do mailings to all of our existing clients offering discounts.
PROSI really liked the feature where we could alert our clients that we are on the way. I also like how we can collect payment on site after a job is completed.
CONSThere are a few features that it lacks such as an accounting piece but they are working on it. Also the jobs tab could be more flexible.

The value for the price. I also know that they are hard at work to bring more features to the software without charging extra.

Love it!
PROSI love all the features so far. Just need a GPS for our large trucks that works with this software.
CONSNo GPS tracking software compatible. That's really the only Con.

Great for Small Business
Overall, I think we will be switching over to this product as soon as our company gets a little bigger, due to being able to integrate our price book as well as QuickBooks.
PROSI like that you can build bids for your customers directly from your mobile device using Profit Rhino integration.
CONSI only used this product for the free trial time frame and so it seems as if you would need some hours of training to get to know all aspects of the program which is expected.

Housecall Pro changed my life!
My overall experience with Housecall Pro has been fantastic. Even more so since I upgraded to the XL
PROSHaving the ability to track time, movement, KPI's, reviews, payments, scheduling etc is so powerful!
CONSThere are some things that yhe other juggernauts in the industry have that this software doesn't but I am confident they will get there, and I'm happy to have gotten in at basicalky the ground floor.

I chose Housecall Pro over these others amongst many things, customer service, price point, responsiveness, and that HCP is constantly working to get better.

EXCELLENT
HCP is very easy to use and a very intuitive layout. When we tried ProjX360 and D-Tools SI, there was a HUGE initial setup required and a HUGE learning curve to figure out how to use the programs. Not HCP. Easy to use from Day 1 and it's quick and easy for new employees to learn. One of the best things is the customer service. It's top notch. They always solve the problem, even if they have to go research and get back to me the next day (and they actually DO get back to me). They also make it easy to contact them with a button on the bottom right of the screen. Other softwares I have to scour the internet trying to find out how to contact customer service.
CONSWould like to see more integrations and there are little things I would change here and there, but I know that's hard to do since the software covers so many different industries. A better way to pull reports would be especially good.

Housecall Pro Rocks
The best part about Housecall Pro is the fact that we have all of our information for the entire business in one spot. It is one stop shop. It also integrates with Quickbooks Online, so we do not have to mess with transferring everything every time. It automatically does it for us. The customer service is also great, as they are quick to find an answer if they cannot fix it right away. I would highly recommend this company and software.
PROSThis software brings our entire company together. It helps us with all the scheduling needs that we have, and definitely helps keep all of your information together in one spot. You can also access this from your mobile devices too which is huge! We wouldn't be where we are today in our company if it wasn't for Housecall Pro.
CONSThere are a few features missing, that could make some delegations a little easier, but after while, when they hear from a bunch of people that they want this option added, they will add and integrate it to the software.

The pricing for ServiceTitan was unreasonably high. Some of the products were great, and could be very useful, but after seeing other reviews, and looking at the actual price we would be paying per year, was incredibly high, and we would not be able to comfortably afford that!

Housecall Pro had a lot more options for us, and it was very centered around our line of work. The previous software was very generic, and did not offer everything that we were wanting.

Housecall Pro - ALMOST the best home services software on the market
Initially very good upon onboarding. As soon as we were up and running we were asked to join a few other programs they offered which were beneficial to us and due to the initial low price we were happy to add these on. As far as functionality, the system is great for home services companies with features like "on my way" texting and emails as well as processing for payments and online booking. Implementation by the company was our issue. The features were great but many were buggy and did not work well together.
PROSHousecall Pro has a robust amount of features in an affordable package. The main interface is fairly easy to use Dedicated online fan base on Facebook that is a ton of help
CONSNo official support phone line from the company. They utilize a chat bubble on their website for support and have little to no way of escalating a problem to speak with someone. The implementation of new features comes fast and furious. The features are not always perfected before implementation and are buggy

Makes my job so much easier!
Before Housecall Pro, my previous employer had stacks of paper invoices she was trying to collect on and manually texting out service calls to each of her in-field technicians EVERY DAY. I was hired specifically to help implement an easier way to operate her small but growing HVAC company. I started research on the different software available and even trialed two before I came across Housecall Pro. One week after implementing and training our technicians we saw a significant improvement in communication between staff and customers as well as collecting on invoices. I was so pleased with Housecall Pro I recommended it to a family member who also has an HVAC company out of Phoenix. I now work remotely for him and cannot be more thrilled that I am again working with Housecall Pro. Thank you for such awesome customer service and a great overall product. This software was perfect for the small service-based business's I have had the pleasure to work with.
PROSWith my main responsibility being dispatching service calls and administrative work, Housecall Pro makes it so easy to have all of the information in one place. You are able to see the status of service calls and invoice homeowners directly from the app. Another great feature of Housecall Pro is offering direct communication with customers and employees via text from the app. The convenience of an online dispatching system is that information can be accessed and updated in real-time so that everyone has accurate information at all times. Customer service agents are available via chat during business hours and provide solutions to problems that you have within minutes which is also very helpful and reassuring when you have questions.
CONSThere is nothing in particular that I don't like about Housecall Pro. Housecall Pro will continue to offer an excellent product, while actively improving their site and adding new features on a regular basis.
