Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like the organization of the Course plan as I appreciate the daily record of my notes and resources. I appreciate the interactive aspect of the wall for classroom participation.
- Better communication with parents and students and more timely feedback. Helps me build a better portfolio on each student so I can look at the whole picture during reporting.
- Designed with Ontario curriculum in mind which makes it more responsive to our local needs. It is user friendly and parents seem to enjoy the communication options.
Cons
- I have to delete auto-posted files from the feed that end up in the library otherwise it will become quickly over-run, confusing and ineffective as a communicative tool.
- If students or teachers are registered for multiple classes, there is no way to pin, prioritize or re-organize the order of classes, either for yourself or for your students.
- And there are NO UNDO options. On many screens where an information bubble pops up - it remains there no matter what is clicked on and you have to reload the page to make it go away.
Pros
- All of my interactions with Jamf school have been extremely positive. Always very helpful with minimal wait time for support.
- I love love the inventory and being able to lock down a stolen device.
- I really enjoy the using Jamf School to manage our school devices. It cost for perpetual licensing makes it a very affordable option for schools.
Cons
- Disowning iPads and removing Jamf is a pain. Multiple steps involved and we were having to do extra steps as well.
- Its very difficult to learn, not much contact from anyone from Jamf unfortunately.
- Creating the scope to issue apps to groups was more difficult than expected.
