Pros/Cons
Pros
- Because I have designed watch screen, clocks and pie charts with the Arc tool of this outstanding platform. I am really satisfied with Figma and I really love this unique design tool.
- It is one of the best tools that allow you to design the pages of the website you would like to build and help the frontend developer to get the requirments needed to build the webpage.
- Very good tool, fast, reliable and web based, free version works very well and paid options have more features that are great too.
Cons
- The web app does not work as fluid as the desktop one, when on the go and not near your laptop or workspace it can be a bit annoying.
- It consumes a lot of resources, in a big design document it does crash or slows down the whole system which can be quite painful at times.
- My only gripes with Figma has been the missing resources I get when previewing my projects sometimes.
Pros
- It is easy to use, very smooth and slick. The presentation how to use it makes it very clear and it is great for prototyping.
- I like how easy the software is to use. Having the ability to automate certain interactions is very useful and saves time.
- It looks good, keeps the version history of the screens and has a terrific comments mechanism, which allows my customers to highlight what they like about the design and what needs to be changed.
Cons
- The sharing/accessibility of the mocks. It’s hard for someone notnon the design team to see their mocks unless the links were shared but this might be by design or license based.
- It caused over 8 hours of a work day to be lost for me and my team.
- There were a number of times where the permissions on designs were incorrect and the designers seemed to have trouble fixing them, but I don't know if that was the fault of the software or not.
