Pros/Cons
Pros
- Love that it is free and has lots of features. Great for someone starting out as there is no subscription fees and it does the job.
- Overall, I would highly recommend Inkscape. It is free and opensource which is pretty awesome and you can do so much in it.
- I mostly like the vector converter result. It makes my photos or images quality much better and it help me to presentate the best result for client.
Cons
- When working with large files, It lags and often crash. It gets really annoying when it can't keep up with the editing process.
- While I could install a WebP plugin for Inkscape I've had bad experiences with Inkscape plugins in the past and I avoid them as much as possible.
- There are many features that I feel are needed, that are missing as well as overall GUI issues and things that are complicated for seemingly no reason that keep me from using this more often.
Pros
- Best for personal use and for learning and practicing 2D animation. Best for people looking for a free tool for creating hand drawn animations on a computer.
- I like Pencil2D because its easy to use, its an open source and can run on different operating systems and also good for beginners.
- I love that it is open source software. It is very easy to use and the interface is very intuitive, it is also a very light program, it is totally free and runs on any operating system.
Cons
- It is bad in terms of its reliance on manual knocking in the tires and its lack of framerate curve, and it cannot be used in motion graphics.
- Limited options compared to other animation software. Not much used by professional studios.
- The frame by frame technique is how it's done here. No fancy tech frills, though for many this isn't a con.
