ConnectWise Control Software


ConnectWise Control is cloud-based operations management solution that allows technicians to perform remote support, gain remote access and run remote meetings. It acts as a meeting point for technicians and customers, enabling them to receive solutions without phone or chat sessions.

The solution's remote support allows users to remotely view and control devices, servers or workstations. Users can create and manage sessions from a customizable and brandable centralized control panel.

With ConnectWise Control's remote access, users can gain access to and control unattended servers or computers. This model helps users install and upgrade customer computers without requiring manually enabled connections.

ConnectWise Control's remote meeting and presentation feature allows users to share their screen with one or more individuals. Users can collaborate with team members, provide project updates, conduct training sessions and make presentations. ConnectWise Control allows the presenter to share their screen with the audience. It offers a mobile application for iOS and Android devices.

ConnectWise Control is available on an annual subscription basis that includes support via phone.

Great service

I've solved anywhere from drive mapping issue to scanning and deleting malicious software. No connection issues so far.

Pros

I like the ease of use for my customers. Often my customers are not tech-savvy. Found this service very easy for them to connect, with minimal instruction from me.

Cons

When the screen connect software downloads in the browser, often the browser warns it might be malicious. That can be a big deterrent for the customer.

Connect Everything!

Pros

Very easy to deploy and have users install the client! Love the tools for sessions. File transfer is a breeze.

Cons

Web config for the cloud hosted version can be a bit complicated. But their FAQs are great and the documentation is easy to follow.

Reliable Remote Support

I've been a customer since it was called ScreenConnect. The product works well for my needs.

Pros

Is cross-platform capable allowing me to support and provide support from multiple OS and devices. Works reliably, with low bandwidth requirements, easy to set up and implement.

Cons

The self-hosted solution has in recent years become rather expensive and a cloud option isn't what I was looking for with remote support.

Love ConnectWise

Pros

Replaced CentraStage with ConnectWise. Connects right away have never had an issue with connecting to end users. Easy to update and use.

Cons

No MFA. Software that has access to many computers should have MFA.

Easy to use, great interface, glad I switched from Teamviewer!

I use Control every day, mainly from just a couple of computers to connect to several. But there are times I'm at an unconfigured machine and need to remote into somewhere else. It's really quick and easy to do so.

Pros

I can connect with my screens from any computer, without authenticating into an application that would allow any user to see all my screens.

Cons

The setup was a little confusing, but now that I understand it, it was easy. Needed a 'getting started' roadmap.

Great remote session software for support and IT teams.

I found connectwise looking for an inexpensive and reliable solution that was also HIPAA compliant to help a team of health coaches troubleshoot software issues with our system platform. It has been an invaluable tool for me and my team as it helps me quickly establish a session where I can view their laptops and take control if necessary. Compared to more expensive options, I like ConnectWise Control definitely provides immediate value.

Pros

I like how easy it is for me to explain to non-tech people I am working with how to get it up and running. I have only ever had one instance where I was not able to successfully establish a connection and I believe it was due to system restrictions not the software

Cons

The design of the admin portal is really lacking. This is nitpicky, I cannot honestly say that there is anything else I dislike, you guys just need to update your UI and design.

My thoughts on ConnectWise Control

Some of our clients are quite remote from our location and this provides a simple way to service those machines. We have found that by offering flexible options for break/fix repair it gives us the best possible way to provide excellent customer service.

Pros

The relative ease of getting the client installed on customer machines.

Cons

That it is often associated with foreign scam artists.

The essential idea for the program is that it allows us to log into other computers to troubleshoot and for general training. The amount of travel time that it saved us pays for itself.

I have used many other remote support tools. Using ConnectWise has been a great experience.

Pros

Ease of use for both the support agent and client. Notifications when connections are valid, and connections do not time out.

Cons

It would be great if the chat window could float away from the share window. Top menu controls are a little touchy.

I'm able to login to the laptops and fix any problem with email or apps not working correctly or trying to explain/talk them thru how to fix the issue. It saves time and money because the guys don't have to FedEx it to me and wait a week on the turn around time.

Pros

Having the different option of connecting to the other laptops I need to work on.

Cons

I don't have any cons or problems with ConnectWise.

We switched from LogMeIn Rescue

One of the main reasons for switching to this software was that dealing with the Sales Team at the other company was difficult and time consuming. We've had a much better experience working with the team at ConnectWise so far

Pros

The interface for dealing with multiple monitors makes supporting our customers much easier on some systems. And the price can't be beat.

Cons

Haven't run in to anything yet, it has been smooth sailing so far
