Axxess provides solutions for home health organizations of all sizes as well as custom enterprise solutions for larger corporations. The cloud-based solution is securely accessible and mobile apps are available for both Android and iOS devices.

The system’s electronic visit verification allows users to verify visits at the point of care and ensure compliance. It enables users to manage tasks in clinical, administrative, financial, scheduling, billing, human resources and more. The solution can bill insurance companies electronically with built-in quality assurance tools.

Users can accept referrals automatically and connect with referring organizations like hospitals, rehab centers, physician offices and more. Axxess’ physician portal enables users to partner and collaborate with physicians. With built-in HIPAA compliant messaging, all members of a team have real-time access to the information they need.

    Scheduling on this software is made easy use and the ability to create, change, and reassign can be handled quickly and accurately.

    Reports can be hard to use and hard to read at times with information that isn't really needed and information that is needed left out.

    Pros

    Oasis, SNV note format always keeps in compliance with regulatory, and very easy to use. Plan of care stays in compliance as well keeping everything needed on a easy to read format.

    Cons

    Report center could be a little better. Commonly used reports such as employee payroll, weekly schedules, census by physician etc etc. could be a bit more user friendly.

    I like the user friendly software.Ot is very easy to teach employees how to use the after. I have been continuing to re educate the staff on new issues and resolving problems within the app.

    With Axxess, i know that my Agency will not be left behind with what is new/what to expect with a rapid changing rules Medicare.

    Pros

    Technical support is sensitive to our needs. Axxess continually innovates of ways to help us efficiently. They are not perfect, but definitely listens to us, their customers...
    Educational Resource Center & their bloggs are a great support for Homehealths to be updated with rapid changing rules in Medicare.

    Cons

    Plan of Care: Pls find ways to be more accessible on goals of pts/tracking of which goals was taught by each discipline.

    As web based Home Health Agency software goes, Axxess is now at the bottom of the heap in our Agency's opinion. Axxess's Medicare Conditions of Participation software update roll-out was an absolute disaster. Many months of silence after the fact, the CEO had the audacity to reach out to Agency clients and blame the software engineers for their inadequacy.... A smart person can tell how a company is run based on how that company treats it's employees, and throwing them under the bus and blaming others when "the buck stops with the CEO" is cowardly and totally unacceptable. If Axxess really wants to be more competitive they should listen to their users first and foremost, act quickly to prioritize and implement user suggestions and forgo planning any more significant feature upgrades during normal hours of their client's business operation. This means upgrading and testing over nights and weekends to ensure minimal disruption to their paying clients as possible. We have literally had our clinicians and office employees spinning their wheels for many afternoons because the software was unavailable due to upgrade usability issues. Also, Axxess has become more draconian in its application of CMS Conditions of Participation processes, which created chaos with our clinical employees. All Axxess really needs to do is ensure the functionality exists for compliance and let the Agency decide the best way to integrate these processes through permissions.

    Pros

    Web based platform ensures compatibility with all operating systems across all devices. Mobile specific App for Android and iOS ensures ease of use on the go with home health specific messaging, documentation, signature capture, GPS location and time signature features needed for this specific industry.

    Cons

    Agency Core needs serious updates to the usability and "core" functionality to adapt software to the industry's common (but ever changing) back end processes.
    Reports functionality needs to include better features for customization so Agency office personnel can create more detailed and useful report output.
    Agency Core Messaging functionality needs an option to search sent, received and deleted messages for time-saving convenience.
    Forms generated by the system need to be improved for "fit and finish" and a more professional look.

    I like the the easy use of using the app on my phone, the patient signature app feature is wonderful and convenient. I love that the app is not limited to physical therapy and that other healthcare professionals can collaborate with therapists so that there's more of a team approach to the patient's care. I was also quite impressed with the proactive customer service approach in which they repeatedly contacted me to ensure my question was answered.

    Cons

    There is definitely a learning curve in the beginning and also I wish that I wouldn't get inundated with general messages from other disciplines that don't pertain to me; if the software was a little more specific to each user in that sense, that would be more convenient.

    Started out good and easy to use. Was easy for field staff to use until this year. Then the software went from Fair to poor.

    Cons

    Poor customer service. Wouldn’t take our calls or answer emails. Our billing was effected by the software randomly changing cert dates and loosing notes.

    The best thing about this software is that you can have multiple tabs open at a time so you don't have to open and close them all the time.

    User friendly, Greatest strength is the interface for performing all clinician progress notes, Oasis Etc. Customer Support is always available to help you and resolve the issues, (if you may have one.) they are very professional and the wait time is very reasonable compared with others. Stays on top of regulatory changes with smooth updates. New Agency training experience was amazing (Vareena) help us with every question and even when the agency finished the training, she has always been there to help us with new updates etc. I really recommend Axxess to be your EMS solution for Home Health.

    I have problem getting financial report from the software. I called customer service three times. Everytime, they said they would get back to me with answers and they never did. I completely lost my trust on their managment

    I have seen other software, they all kind of do the same thing. I got demo from multiple vendors, can't see a differentiation

    Poor Technical support and reports. The reports are confusing and I often have download multiple spreadsheet to analysis my data. I have called customer support, even they could not help.

    Do not waste your money and your time on this company. I would not recommend this software to even my competitors. I have had much success using Kinnser.

    Pros

    It was easy getting in touch with a sales team and they were very eager to start services. What follows afterwards is a whole different story.

    Cons

    Expect to wait over 45 min to 60 min for anyone to answer their phones. Worst customer service from an "established" company. Major glitches with the software. Hours of clinical charting disappeared and nonrecoverable due to changes with the new COP. The new Medicare COP was announced in 2017, yet in 2018 the software is yet to be reliable.

    Pretty easy to use, mobile to desktop sync is decent, cut and paste feature available and easy to use.

    I have noticed that the narrative notes are editable by other with admin rights. As I am the nurse signing for the information, others should not be able to change information. This is illegal.
