Started out good and easy to use. Was easy for field staff to use until this year. Then the software went from Fair to poor.

Cons

Poor customer service. Wouldn’t take our calls or answer emails. Our billing was effected by the software randomly changing cert dates and loosing notes.

User friendly, Greatest strength is the interface for performing all clinician progress notes, Oasis Etc. Customer Support is always available to help you and resolve the issues, (if you may have one.) they are very professional and the wait time is very reasonable compared with others. Stays on top of regulatory changes with smooth updates. New Agency training experience was amazing (Vareena) help us with every question and even when the agency finished the training, she has always been there to help us with new updates etc. I really recommend Axxess to be your EMS solution for Home Health.

Cons

Haven't found any cons in almost 1 year of use with Axxess. The software has exceeded all my expectations.

I have problem getting financial report from the software. I called customer service three times. Everytime, they said they would get back to me with answers and they never did. I completely lost my trust on their managment

I have seen other software, they all kind of do the same thing. I got demo from multiple vendors, can't see a differentiation

Cons

Poor Technical support and reports. The reports are confusing and I often have download multiple spreadsheet to analysis my data. I have called customer support, even they could not help.

Do not waste your money and your time on this company. I would not recommend this software to even my competitors. I have had much success using Kinnser.

Pros

It was easy getting in touch with a sales team and they were very eager to start services. What follows afterwards is a whole different story.

Cons

Expect to wait over 45 min to 60 min for anyone to answer their phones. Worst customer service from an "established" company. Major glitches with the software. Hours of clinical charting disappeared and nonrecoverable due to changes with the new COP. The new Medicare COP was announced in 2017, yet in 2018 the software is yet to be reliable.

Customer hold times after new software releases are way too long. This past year was a good example and almost had to complete new soc when coordinator accidentally erased a chart.

Pros

Able to chart existing visit and retain notes from previously charted visit or assessment. So easy to tweak my notes when I actually have something to compare it with.

Cons

The wound care details often don't carryover when charting. Sometimes this carries over and other times not. Not sure what the issue is.

Terrible Customer Service - Too Many Changes - No Training

At the moment, nothing! It used to be a good company. When we opened our doors in 2014, the customer service was great, although we had to train ourselves on the system. No one completed trainings via computer, at our facility, etc.

Cons

EVERYTHING! All the changes have been too many at one time. There are too many non-working, non-functional parts to the system. It should not have been released in January, if it wasn't ready for the public. It is now March and the changes are still being made (actually some that are made are going back to the way Axxess worked previously). We have lost nurses due to the fact that Axxess system was erasing their info and making them have double the work. This morning we got on the system and all of our POC's from January forward are unable to view. They are going to have to be re-opened and re-submitted to our physicians, this is around 300 POC's and extra work on our employees. We called Axxess, was on hold for an hour before they took the call, then the lady we spoke with had no real answer to what had happened. We requested to speak with a supervisor and she could not reach one. Basically we were told that we would have to re-do all 300+ POC's.

Customer service support for AXXESS is terrible. The wait far exceeds what should be considered normal. The customer service reps are very nice, just the availability and turnaround needs improved. Possibly a contact person per facility would help?

Recent updates have made it virtually impossible to operate

Where do I start...the changes don't make sense at all. I understand trying to be compliant with the new Medicare Conditions of Participation, but to make such a drastic overhaul of things is just ridiculous. Doctors have no idea where to sign the Plan of Care which costs us in revenue as we cannot bill without a signed plan of care. This is affecting our bottom line and putting us at risk of not having our documentation signed on time. Nurses have no idea how to navigate this and it is not user friendly at all. Can never get a hold of anyone when we have glitches. Billing errors etc.

Pros

It was the best software and very user friendly before all the recent changes. It made it easy to run the back office well with it's numerous reports and the HR credential tracking is good

Cons

Poor customer service. It is beyond frustrating to be on hold for hours. It is beyond frustrating when the software is not working and every nurse is calling from the field as they are unable to function!!

Software is good overall, but they are not ethical in their dealings.

Pros

Ease of use. It has all the features to simplify your work. I like the EVV as it the put staff at the point of care without worrying about visit fraud.

Cons

They charge you as they like without approval from the agency. Agency monthly rate was increased by adding services not required. They add their product to your charge without consent. Trying to resolve it goes nowhere. I wrote emails three times, spoke with customer services so many time and left messages but and still no response. I can wait to switch. One of the rep said "I don't care if you switch"

Stay away they're not only bad but unethical

We have been with this company for 8 months now and i'm already looking at alternatives. Besides the software not working properly very often, the biggest issue is that when you need help it takes hours to get that help. They must have 2 people working in the support department.

Pros

It looks nice, works most of the time, the nurses are able to use it remotely even though much of the time in the past few months it hasnt been working properly.

Cons

They make changes without telling you they've been made, if you call prepare to be on hold well over an hour, they are very unethical when billing (they will increase your charges when you reach a threshold but they sure wont reduce your charges when you reach the same threshold in the other direction).

This company has cost our company significant revenue loss and cost us the loss of employee's and we have gotten cited on deficiencies from State audits due to the incompetence of this companies obvious lack of experience and intelligence in this area of healthcare. This company and it's employees also have the attitude that they know better than the client what the client needs, they don't want to hear what you want or would like for your business. They take on the attitude that they are better and superior and can't possibly be wrong and this creates the massive issues that we have now with nothing working at all! They aren't interested in the customer being happy they are interested in doing what they want when they want. They will make changes not tell you and implement them with no reasoning and it will make all other systems fail because it won't integrate correctly with them. There is little or no testing and they never ask the customer how they feel about any of it.

Cons

This product is not even adequate. Our hold time on 1/29/2018 was 3 hours and 15 min, on 1/24/2018 it was 1 hour 45 min on 1/22/2018 it was 2 hours 10 min and this goes on and on. I have personally left over 20 messages asking a supervisor to call me back and not one single call to address this issues of not able to bill, not able to complete nursing notes, glitches in the wound note, errors everywhere and no one cares. WARNING stay away from this product they DO NOT CARE about any client and they do not have the resources to run a competent company. BEWARE!!

Ease of use and price is reasonable. Web base interface is better than most software but needs improvement with clinical response selection.

Cons

Customer support is really bad. Wait time is over an hour and they drop your call. I would not recommend this to people who doesn't have patience to wait.

This is not a good software for home health.

Poor customer service. I was on hold for over 2 hours. They implement updates at 3pm on a Friday when no assistance is available; they do not prepare users for the updates. Physician orders are impossible to do in the field, medication profiles cannot be updated and signed in the field on a tablet.

When it works, it works. For over 1 mo, this has not been the case. Pros from before, unfortunately, does not outweigh the cons.

Cons

Within the last month, the software has had many glitches. The app is even worse. Nothing new with the app.

1. Cannot admit patients
2. Schedules for nurses cannot get scheduled.
3. Notes are not completed, nurses cannot get paid.


Do you want to be an agency that cannot admit for the proper documentation for OASIS, 485 and other areas that are important for billing?
For the past month, features and service have plummeted. A few times when I called, I was #67 or #43 in line. Today, I was #1 for all 3 calls. Time exceed 45 mins for all calls.

I like the the easy use of using the app on my phone, the patient signature app feature is wonderful and convenient. I love that the app is not limited to physical therapy and that other healthcare professionals can collaborate with therapists so that there's more of a team approach to the patient's care. I was also quite impressed with the proactive customer service approach in which they repeatedly contacted me to ensure my question was answered.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve in the beginning and also I wish that I wouldn't get inundated with general messages from other disciplines that don't pertain to me; if the software was a little more specific to each user in that sense, that would be more convenient.

I work QA and have worked with 6 different software systems, so have had ample opportunity to evaluate and compare the software available. Axxess is an easy system for the people in the field to use, but is lacking for all others.
The worst thing about axxess are all of the "glitches"! The system goes down as frequently as the stock market! There is little to no customer service, especially on the weekend. I was placed on hold for support once for over an hour, at which point I finally hung up.
What Axxess lacks in software reliability it makes up for in marketing! If only all of the people who are busy sending out e-mails about how wonderful they were would actually work to make the system wonderful, it would be flawless! I work with several agencies, so I get several messages a week telling me how good Axxess is, while I am trying to get the system to work!
