Established by home care professionals, AxisCare Home Care Software provides a system designed with the workflow of a private duty agency in mind. AxisCare provides a scheduling software solution that features a GPS Mobile App, automatic invoicing, billing and payroll integrations, custom forms, reporting, and more.

AxisCare can be used on any web browser and any operating system, even on phones and tablets. Within the system, the telephony tool enables caregivers to check in and out from a client's home via cell phone or the client's home phone. Notifications are available via email and text; the system can send a notification if a caregiver is running late, helping to maximize communication between the caregiver and the office.

Additionally, the marketing module can integrate with most popular email providers (Google, Apple, Outlook), and the scheduling module offers real-time calendars that alert users of things like double appointment bookings and caregiver overtime. Businesses can track their ROI on advertising, increase lead conversion, create campaigns, and more.

    Our agency would like the opportunity to follow-up with a more thorough review in several months after we have used the software.

    Pros

    The number of features available are a plus. Especially the marketing integration, employee application integration, and the geo fencing options.

    Cons

    Our agency is new to the AxisCare software so we don't have any real cons to list at this time. The first training session was less than ideal, which was not expected.

    I'm So glad I found this system to use for our new company. It has been pretty easy to learn. Still learning stuff in the system.

    Pros

    Easy to use and very easy to build schedules. I really like that I can log into the system anywhere I am.

    Cons

    I wish you could verify hours from the calendars. It would make it a lot easier if I had to verify just one schedule.

    Good product!

    Pros

    Fairly easy to navigate. Very happy with the service when I've called the help line, the staff is always friendly and helpful!

    Cons

    I struggle with changing client schedules. Seems like it should be an easier process to change a clients schedule

    This is a wonderful tool to use to retain important information regarding clients and caregivers.

    Pros

    I love that I can create reports that are needed. I feel like information is easily accessible and that it is easy to use.

    Cons

    Would like to be able to see which user made updates to the database.
    At this time, when updates are made we are not able to determine who made the adds or adjustments.

    Our customer rep., although she has other responsibilities, is very knowledgeable when we have an issue. Staff is usually very friendly. Software is fairly easy to use. The 3rd party billing has made billing the VA much easier and has sped up the payment time by the VA significantly. The integration with Applicant Stack makes putting in new employees a lot easier.

    Cons

    After customer rep. left, the technical support took a little bit of a hit. While they are friendly, most of the time they have to seek out other help to answer a question. Would be nice to have some better reporting. The one report we requested had done took quite a while to get done and was 75% of what we asked. While I can appreciate tech support calling back (typically the same day), most of our issues are real time issues and would be nice if we could get someone on the phone right then and there.

    Supports my efforts to actively supervise my staff with automated notifications when they clock in and out. I also access their notes after each visit to review.
    Allows my staff to choose open shifts.
    Allows me to keep detailed notes of staff behaviors using points system.
    Lead management system is excellent!

    Cons

    I would like a more dynamic calendar that can sync with my phone.
    Overall I really enjoy using the product.

    The price of the product is very good for a small company like myself. We have used it for several years now since start up and have had positive results. The app on the phone for Electronic Verification is very important to us and shows our credibility to everyone.

    Pros

    We can have our caregivers and clients in one place as well as billing and payroll. This is a huge benefit when tracking all your employees and clients.

    Cons

    Wish to be able to add certain fields that are unique to my company. Wish I can run certain reports in a more friendly version.

    Overall - great system for in home care. We also use this for our Assisted Living Facility and it works just as well.

    Pros

    Simple payroll & billing reports.
    Easy clock in and out for caregivers.
    Mileage tracker making it easy for management to reimburse caregiver time
    Love the notes section

    Cons

    Scheduling section is a little difficult to navigate but this could be an user issue. Having a difficult time adjusting to the new features and functions. I need to watch the training sessions but haven't had time.

    Support has been pretty good and they seem willing to consider feature requests as well as frustrations (NO software is without SOME frustration, especially when your just learning to use it.) they seen genuinely interested in providing great value and evolving with the industry.

    Cons

    Sometimes I think some of the functionality could be a bit more intuitive, but I've tried some of the competing products and comparatively they're pretty good.

    I really like the way Axis Care is always looking to upgrade. It isn’t static. It gets better & better!

    I like the fact that it is geared towards our industry. I also love the fact that it is so easy to use.

    I guess it would be that my staff prefers to use the legacy calendar instead of using the beta calendar.

    I love that I have the ability to create custom fillable forms. I have used it to create a custom assessment that wows our clients.

    As with any comprehensive product, the learning curve is steep. But once you get there, it’s incredible.

    Overall we are pleased and do recommend to others. We would like to better understand how the QuickBook interface works for payroll and billing. Our process is still manual although we understand we should be able to use AxisCare.

    Pros

    We especially like the new snapshot view that shows us all the shifts for the day and week ahead. This allows us to effectively manage the day.

    Cons

    It is cumbersome to view and work with on the iPhone and iPad. We almost always have to use the computer when changing shift tones of assigning caregivers.

    I like the phone app

    Going into this business is already hard enough. But with this system, it’s given me the confidence I need to know things are being managed well. That leaves me the room to grow my business. Worry free!

    Pros

    I use the software everywhere and anywhere. It keeps me organized and it keeps caregiver times consistent and honest. It’s super user friendly, and the parts that may seem confusing are easily answered by their team ready at a moment notice to assist. I could say more good things about this system.

    I wish there were a calender in the actual program to keep track of appointments, interviews, etc...

    Form creation works well for the various data I need, the ease of data entry and intuitiveness of the forms are helpful.
