Property Management System for hostels

We have used the software practically since version 1, so we have experienced how the ironed out the kinks and are always open to suggestions from users.

Pros

Lobby is a property management system with many features to help small hotel/hostel business owner organize their inventory. it has many modules like Point of Sale, inventory, accounting, reports among many other. there's something very cool thing i have never seen on a PMS is that they have a public API so if your organization can create modules you please to fit your needs.

Cons

There's always room for improvement, specially on the graphical user interface.

we found cloudbeds to be bloated and expensive, also we love the flexibility Lobbypms gives us and how is optionally localized for our market's regulations.

Reasons for Switching to Lobby PMS

on hotel druid we didn't have the options to connect to a channel manager plus hotel druid interface is terrible

Todo en un solo lugar

Hemos tenido una muy buena experiencia con la plataforma, una vez la entiendes es facíl realizar tareas, se dificulta un poco enseñarle y explicarle a una nueva persona a manejarla y a realizar tareas puntuales del día a día.

Pros

Tener un el servicio POS y poder manejar las reservas en la plataforma, hace que la operación del día a día sea mas sencilla

Cons

Siendo el menú bastante claro en sus opciones, hay muchas otra dentro de los submenu que no son tan claros y dificulta completar ciertas tareas o buscar cierta información, adicionalmente seria fantástico poder discriminar los adultos, de los niños en las reservas y que no te obligue a manejar una tarifa especial para los niños y puedas seleccionarlas tarifas dependiendo de la edad de los niños. Adicionalmente poder trasladar cargos de alojamiento a otras habitaciones y que estas se carguen a los cargos de alojamiento de la nueva habitación y no a los extras y consumos. También poder hacer varias reservas a nombre de una sola persona en la versión móvil. Tenemos un aliado especial, Glamper y nos gustaría tener la integración con su plataforma. entendemos el trabajo de desarrollar estos procesos pero estaría muy bien validar si hay mas establecimientos como el nuestro Glamping usando lobby que quieran la integración y así evaluar su viabilidad.

Great price and a good system

Pros

Really like the price, it seems about half the price of the more popular systems and still has all the features. Its easy to use and doesnt have a long learning curve, meaning no long training sessions. The look is modern and theres continual updates, they're also very receptive to making changes that you might need.

Cons

Theres a few minor things that need to be changed to make the system a little more user friendly, such as have opt out instead of opt in for some funcions that you might not know are available.
