Simple, Effective Online Booking Portal
Allows my customers to book online. Allows me to process reservations at times convenient for me. Love the software!
PROSI was looking only for an online booking portal, nothing more. It's perfect, I love it.
CONSThere is nothing I like least about this software. I like it. If I could ask for one improvement, it would be a copy and paste mechanism to populate the Availability Calendar. From my reservation software, I can export my availability to a csv file. If I could simply copy and paste into the Availability Online - Availability Calendar, that would be dynamite. This would allow me to copy/paste subsets and custom views of my availability into the Availability Calendar.

All of the others included reservation management software. I only wanted an online booking portal.

Webervations was discontinued.

Overall, this software provides exactly what my business needs, while still giving me the control over it's functionality that I desire as the owner, which is very much appreciated!
PROSIt was very easy to transition to and use! We can make changes when needed quickly and the customer support provided is usually fairly quick to resolve issues and answer questions.
CONSOccasionally there have been a few glitches, but nothing too major. My biggest recommendation would be to show the "Unit Requested" in the Reservation pick-up list. Also, some more ways to search for archived reservations would be nice...for instance, the ability to search by customer name perhaps?
Reason for choosing Availability Online
I liked the flat yearly fee so that I knew what my costs were up front. I also like that they do not charge percentage based fees. I did not want to go under a large booking engine such as AirBnB, but still offer the ease of checking availability online for potential guests that these bigger companies offer. Availability Online allows me to operate on my own and greatly aids in the checking availability process for guests and the reservation making process for us!

RezTracker was no longer an option to use.

We love it to keep our calendar and data organized. Safe and secure program. Great response if I have a problem.
PROSWhen checking for new reservations it is easy to reply and they stay with the PC compliance. Secure and they let you know the protection of all the data.
CONSOn a busy day sometimes I forget to go to the calendar and check it off. It would be great if we were prompt. Also when I try to use the minimum stays it does not allow it to be consistant easy to put in.

Availability Online User
I have been using Availability Online for many many years. I find Availability Online very affordable and easy-to-use. Other booking engines charge $40 a month or more to use their systems. Many of those nice to have options are over kill, cost more money and are unnecessary niceties for small properties.
PROSUnlike other booking engines with Availability Online you get all the guests information and process the guests information through your own credit card system. No third party seeing your guests booking details.
CONSNo problems. Availability Online is very responsive to technical questions.

As a small bed-and-breakfast owner I appreciate the cost, simplicity, responsiveness and accuracy of Availability Online.

Reasonably priced reservation system
They have great customer service, and have resolved any issue for me within the day.
PROSIt is easy to use, easy to connect to your website and I like the text feature the minute you get a reservation.
CONSI have not used but one other system and it was actually similar. We are a small Inn and this suits us just fine.
Reason for choosing Availability Online
I can’t even remember the names of the ones I looked at. But I would say pricing and location (USA) were the biggest factors. I also did not want to be tied into Expedia or Travelocity for business - that is just not our model.
Reasons for switching to Availability Online
The other system sold out (and had actually built their system from this company) I made the switch because I needed a new system, they were in the USA and not tied to other European or large businesses.
