Review of monday.com

Overall experience with monday.com is a quite excellent and appreciable performance by this tool. I really enjoyed using this tool and became very curious to know all the features given by monday.com.

Pros

The most like part about this tool is that the user interface is really good and easy to understand next I have to do. monday.com is a very useful tool in project management and team management. I used these tools for the last 2 years and I recommended using this tool once for project management.

Cons

The least liked part about this software is to poor service support. Once I need service support and didn't get a response from the teams. After lots of emails send then I get the answer.

The All in One!

Its just a lifesaver.

Pros

What I love most about Monday is the ease of use. You can copy and paste repetitive tasks daily, weekly, monthly. In our production floor we have lots of products, each with many orders coming in monthly. Monday allows me to track the progress of each order without the need to ask anyone on the floor for a status.

Cons

This is not a con, but a plus! There are too many features I cant keep up! I want to implement everything I can to make my job more efficient but there's so many features! There's honestly nothing bad I can say about Monday.

Reasons for switching to monday.com

I switched from Excel because we had to manage 3-5 spreadsheets daily. By adding Monday, we just have to manage one, and with all the features of automation, it basically manages itself.

Good for planning but has a learning curve

It is a great product, but I feel like it is not a great fit for me and my business, or I found it difficult to learn and set it up how I want it to serve me and my business.

Pros

I like that you can customize and plan your workflows and your project boards. You can set up different boards for each project and set a workflow according to time and the different tasks that are necessary for each project.You can see all your project deadlines and tasks in a calendar so you can also see where you need to focus on. I use Monday.com only for myself, but teams can be added and tasks can be assigned, but they can be tracked and you can be notified when a task status changes. I think this is very helpful for teams.

Cons

Personally, I find it difficult to use. Although it has many great features, especially when just starting, I found it difficult to know how to add tasks, or how to create a proper workflow. If you just use the boards for standalone projects, it is easy to use though.

Good Tracking System

At first it was a great tool to play around with to figure out the best way to track our event and who was working on what portion. The quick look at the colors to see the progress was great. There was a place to put notes and mention people in posts to let them know there are tasks waiting for them. However, the customization was not the best. If you added one column to a section, it added it in for all sections. I did not have the time to take a deep dive but maybe if we got a higher package we would have more functions to organize. It was encouraging/discouraging to see the progress of the event and held people to be accountable for their portion. However, having to update this daily as we got closer to our event got too laborious to do. In concept, it's a good tool, but was not the right fit for my company and I.

Pros

That I was able to see what my co-workers were working on and their progress with the task. They used easy-to-view color-coded options.

Cons

You are able to clearly see the progress of your co-workers, however, it is hard to make updates or edits to the task. There is an area to make notes, however, it is not in the front for people to see right away. You need to click in to the whole task. Also, when you make a column for one section it creates it for all. Some columns are not necessary for each section and can be confusing when updating.

Reasons for switching to monday.com

It was easier for us to update a spreadsheet that had all our data in already. We were able to customize columns easier with excel.
