Lodgify Software


 

Lodify is a hotel and hospitality management system that allows users to create custom vacation rental web design. The Lodgify website is available to rental owners in a variety of industries including bed & breakfast innkeepers and vacation rental managers.

Users can choose from a variety of website templates that are mobile-friendly and customizable. The “Book Now” feature enables owners to accept online bookings and credit card payment from one dashboard. The channel manager allows users to keep calendar availability, photos, and information in sync with other listings sites including AirBnB, Booking.com, and Homeaway. The reservation system receives all inquiries in one inbox, allowing the user to manage requests and bookings from one place.

Individual websites link to social media pages and feature “like” and “share” buttons. The design themes are available in 22 languages through a translation tool.

Its not enough for a multi property management

My opinion is pay some more Euros per month and go with another Hotel management system

Pros

Easy to use, provides a free website and a domain (in case you don't have one), average price, multi account management.

Cons

The calendar lacks functionality its really outdated, you can't manage rooms of the same type, for example if ypu have 2 reservations for the same day same type of room you can't understand for which room exactly is", the prices they give you are VAT excluded so be ware,
No App and the mobile version it's unusable as it takes too much time to load even on a good 3G connection, The channel manager doesn't have a lot of options as you get life modification only on Booking.com Airbnb synchronization is really bad no real time it updates in like 10 hours, almost no support, you write some email and a girl replies to you once in 24 hours.

The only thing I don't like is how it handle damage deposits. They have to be handled as a miscellaneous charge and it confuses the customers.

Was easy to set up and the customer service was fabulous! I approached them for the channel management. Was reluctant to create a new website but it was a smooth transition.

Pros

It's especially designed for agencies and management companies that have individual properties in different locations, Ideal for companies that deal with rental vacations. The website was easy to set up and the support was incredible.

Cons

There is no minimum advance reservation which is difficult to program cleaning as anyone can book instantly for that day. However, I understand the company has already started a plan to change this.

Having my own booking engine for my holiday home as well as managing reservations and the availability of my holiday home easily and in one central place. And all that for an ok monthly fee.

Pros

The pricing is very fair, the out of the box website building tool is great and it offers channel manager connections to the most commonly used booking platforms (booking.com and airbnb).
You could also build a marketplace with this software - which is great I guess for some use cases but since I don't need that, it does not really help me.

Cons

It could offer more channel managers and the menus could be a bit more intuitive - but overall a great value for money product.

It has enabled us to produce a decent looking website; not too difficult to use. Also there is lots of learning material to help understand all about optimizing our website.

Pros

The template choices are good and the options given for personalizing our website is fine. Also the loading time is pretty quick.

Cons

The limitations for editing our site. For example, why do we have the extra two editing tools on the property description page and not on the remainder of the pages. It would be so helpful if there was a complete set of tools on the editing page to also include individual photo link. Having to constantly contact your office for assistance on editing matters is a bit bothersome.

However, having said that, I am totally (100%) satisfied with your customer care / after sales service. The assistance from your office team is very efficient. So far, they have never failed to address my concerns and they do so in a very timely manner. Very courteous!

I like the website builder, channel manager, reservation system. I also like that I can receive payments on the percentage I decide and I can communicate with the guest with automatic messages.

Cons

Improving customer service is a must and they are working on with new agents. Making it easier to work with sub users as a property manager or simply giving access to staff or others. I would live a better integration with other channel manager

Lodgify is mostly for users who want to create a direct booking website from existing listings. It is easy to setup and functions as promised. Good options for payment gateways.

Cons

Like many other "channel management" applications, Lodgify suffers from incomplete integrations with major listing channels. For example, you may be able to sync your rates with Airbnb but not with HomeAway. Many of these online hosting platform promise integrations but fail to deliver. Do your research. If you may have to use multiple hosting platforms to achieve full synchronization of listing details, calendars, rates, messaging, payments, etc.

The synchronisation of calendars. But it is a real pain that HomeAway does not give the names of the guests.

Cons

Even if the calendar has improved considerably recently I believe that a lot can be still improved to make it easier to use and useful.
The canned responses are very unstable - sometime they disappear and I have to re-write them again.
Now there are holiday taxes in Italy. In my area ¿1.5 per night per person for a maximum of 5 nights (if they stay longher). Is there a possibility to add this?
The reviews should be differentiated according to the apartment/room. By the way instead of calling it apartment/room is it possible to call it unit?

The pricing uploading is manual and would be good if this can be uploaded (semi) automatically from for example Excel. It is super easy to us and set up and the page looks really professional. It is also easy to integrate different functionalities and to set up the offer extra services like additional cleaning or towels and sheets.
The translator functionality is really good, the translations are excellent at least in the 7 languages I speak

Channel manager doesn¿t export descriptions to other channels and nonintegration of reports like guests data to send to police that some booking systems have.

Very easy to get the basics set up and get the software and the properties live. There wasn't much detail, but at least the properties were rentable in a short period of time.

Cons

I found it difficult to get into the details of each property. For instance, VRBO is 2 clicks to get into edit the details, and I honestly couldn't tell you how I got there on Lodgify. I know I have been there, but I don't remember how I got there. It is the main reason I no longer use Lodgify. I would consider it again if the edit has become easier.

After 4 years of research we finally found Lodgify. (If not we would probably hired a Indian hacker team to create it)

It provides nearly everything we need to run our apartment house in the digital world.

After some time in customizing it to our needs, it works fine for our apartment house.
Since we have swiched from Seekda/Kognitiv we have increased our sale with more than 300% through using the booking engine of Lodgify. An answer to that could be the user friendly and responsive 3 step process. But we dont use the website function of Lodgify (see Cons)

It works perfectly with booking.com and runs without any problem so far . (not any single issue since 1 year)

Lodgify extended our demo for free to get to know each detail of its software by heart before going live with our 6 Apartments on 4 channels. (booking, airbnb, homeaway, website)

If you know your business processes, prices, cancellation policy and you have your pictures and descriptions ready, you can set up Lodgify as your PMS and channel manager within a day. (after you know the software)

The credit card payment process via Stripe or Paypal are expensive but are working without any issue.

Cons

There is only a limited number of global OTAs provided in the channelmanager of Lodgify. Of course booking.com (Priceline) as the biggest player is on board, but we are missing Expedia second player on the market.

Support is good but sometimes doesnt get your point what you are requesting. (maybe language issues)

We requested a new channel which is probably the most important one in Austria (Feratel) and customer support and Feratel support told us in July that there are testing and providing the channel until the end of summer. Now it is 2018 and new people at Lodgify support tell us, that they never worked on a channel manager with Feratel! Very confusing and hard to argue all the time.

It would be great to have some kind of WYSIWYG Editor to customize the Email communication with customers, since this is very hard to understand if your are not into HTML/PHP and working with variables.

Bookings via Airbnb need sometimes more than 5 hours prior that they are blocked in the calendar. If someone else would book in the same period of time, you really have a problem. (never happend to us, but if?)

We dont use the website cause there are some big SEO issues with image-titles etc. where the customer support did not understand the problem.
So we prefer to have our own website and use the Lodgify booking engine just for the booking process itself.

After saying all that little issues, where we hope Lodgify will optimize within the next years, we are very happy.

I really like the calendar functionality and views. I like that it is mobile friendly. I like the cost.

If you are looking for a basic calendar function software and personal website this is it!

Cons

Little to no independent automation (all automation comes at additional cost through Zapier). Very few financial controls (ex. automated payments, credit card storage). API integration lacking support. US-based support is awful and takes forever for responses. (2-3 days)
