SkyTouch Hotel OS is a cloud-based hotel management solution designed for hotels of all sizes. It offers property management, rate management and distribution functionalities within a suite.

SkyTouch Hotel OS features housekeeping management, which allows users to schedule housekeeping staff using the administration console. Once an assigned task is completed, the staff can update the status using their mobile app.

SkyTouch Hotel OS also features distribution management, which allows users to manage hotel bookings on different online channels, such as Internet Booking Engine (IBE), online travel agencies (OTA) and global distribution systems (GDS). When a room is booked on any of the channels, the calendar is updated in real time, which reduces the risk of overbookings.

SkyTouch Hotel OS offers integration with different business solutions such as Google Calendar, WordPress, PayPal and Drupal. The vendor provides 24/7 online support to customers.

    Makes the job easier, the program allows you to move through the process of a reservation with out any stress.

    Cons

    Skytouch still has some bugs in it sometimes shows that there are no rooms when clearly there is. Luckly that has only happen a few times on non-busy days.

    I've seen SkyTouch OS being used at multiple properties and the only issue I see people having with it is it runs a little slow from time to time. Their support team is amazing and is open 24/7. I recommend you try it, you will not be disappointed.

    Pros

    SkyTouch Hotel OS is very easy to use for me and staff and colleagues. SkyTouch OS is basically a smaller version of the SkyTouch software. it shows your occupancy for your previous night and the day of. If you have had SkyTouch for over a year yu can see how many rooms you sold last year to this year. You can also see what the prices were on this day last year. It is super simple to use and well worth it.
    There is also a house keeping tab as well in SkyTouch OS. You can see things like your stay overs, arrivals, and vacant rooms. This tab also shows you your clean and dirty rooms for occupied and vacant. Up top of the housekeeping tap you can type in a special room and see or even change the status of it. For example you click on room 31 you can change it from dirty to clean. If a guest complains about anything you can flag the room and put in notes on what the problem is so that your matance can fix it with out coming back to the lobby or office to ask you what needs to be done.

    Cons

    SkyTouch can be slow from time to time. They also do updates quiet often, whitch is great but running a hotel you need your system up 24/7 and a 2 hour update makes it hard to do that.

    There are only two positive things about this PMS system.
    1. This is a web based system there can be accessed from anywhere.
    2. 24/7 US based phone support.

    Cons

    The list on cons is long:
    1.Frequent crashes and updates that does not add any useful features to the system.
    2.Long list of known issues but no intentions of ever fixing these issues.
    3.This system is primarily used by Choice hotels so the design and features of this PMS is geared toward choice hotels.It is not a good system for independent hotels.
    4.Only few integrations and interfaces to 3rd party platforms.
    5.Over bookings happens frequently and when you call them about the over bookings you are told that they will run the so called Delta Report but no body cares to follow up after that.

    The glitches, sometimes cause pain in the butt trouble shooting, but it doesn't happen to terribly often

    I have worked at the hotel for 7 years and we have used 5 different systems, and nothing compares to skytouch! Its fast, accurate and user friendly!

    Cons

    I wish the prepaid reservations would auto put in address of guest. When we go to check prepaid guest's in it always sends us a user error and we have to go clear back into the reservation and basically remake it all.

    Some copying functionalities are missing like no shows and future reservations cannot be duplicated.

    It is relatively quick to check in clients . It configures most information and taxes for you as long as it is given proper information . For the most part it efficiently tracks and records most aspects of our business .

    Cons

    I think SkyTouch needs to simplify No Show reservations that become next day arrivals . The transfer of financial balance should not be anything other than reinstating if need be . It Is a process that you must duplicate then turn into cash transaction etc.

    Its easy to adjust charges between folios, and it walks you through making a reservation so nothing is missed

    I do not like not being able to change certain guest info after they have checked out. And cannot change or view group rate code after the group has been set up.

    Posting credit balances in the direct bill accounts is not very easily done. Some of the features have to many steps involved in them. It is not easy to find some of things I need right away or I can't access them without calling sky touch for help. As the General Manager I would think I would be able to a bit more control over certain aspects and function of the system.

    web based system , Faster than other systems. very easy to use. Tech support is quick to answer phones.

    Cons

    takes awhile daily to log in. Need to clear data everyday first, most of time folios wont print have to switch computors. sometimes if guest staying 1 day it prints a rates for 7 days on folio sheet guest signs

    You have a lot of reports to choose from and detailed. And the 24 hour customer service. there is also a help section if you need it. k

    had problems wherein some reservations did not communicate with skytouch. It wasn't solve until almost a month. Some credit card information did not migrate to the skytouch. A lot of problems

    Cloud based has been great also two way integration with siteminder has been a great time saver.

    Pros

    I enjoy the ease of use and that it is cloud based, it is colorful and attractive for new staff, we have two way integration with Site Minder and this has saved a lot of time and energy.

    Cons

    There are many things that need to be fixed. The reports for simple marketing purposes do not work at all, they do not pull any data from the simple item in a reservation such as country. The letters to guests cannot be adjusted which is crazy to me. Also there are so many things that they say they know about and they will be changing and it does not seem like anything will change.

    Do not like that you can't transfer deposits, funds from one acct. to another.

    The look of it... Some of the features I think it are could once you find them. It seems as though we have lots of reports but yet many are not needed. I would like to sit with your develop team sometime.

    Cons

    That the functionality when it comes to Goups and Direct Billing, accounts receivable really need ALOT of work...your software is behind others and doesn't seem to be improving. The people designing it clearly have never worked in hotel. You should get some help so the developmental team listens to the client or even your techs!!

    It is the most critical technology we use to manage our hotel.

    Pros

    The integration with third part sites (OTA's) such as booking.com, Expedia, etc. is very seamless and error free.

    Cons

    There are some minor maintenance periods. I had to really stretch to come up with anything negative as we are notified in advance about any scheduled maintenance and the maintenance is infrequent.

    Able to access from any where or any device. Doesn't have a server everything is cloud base which is nice.

    Pros

    Easy to use. Set up was easy and the cost was well worth it. Community board is a nice feature. Tape chart is nice to use.

    Cons

    Rate Management Part. Very hard to set certain rates for groups or blocks. Always cleaning out your cookies/browser. Always doing maintenance. Makes you save stuff a zillion times before continuing.
