Pros/Cons

  • Pros

  • Adequate and cheap if you are European based. Does not accommodate US or multinational policy norms for many leave types or support accruals.

  • I am able to see the complete absence overview of our entire marketing department, when using this software. Makes it easy to plan vacations.

  • Cons

  • Interacting with the company. Rigidity in features

  • I don't like having to switch language when visiting https://www.absence.io - it always defaults to https://www.absence.io/de/ - would prefer it to be a little more intelligent about my location :)

  • I love how informative and detailed this software is. There are so many great advantages to using this. I love everything about it and use it daily.

  • The thing I love the most about this software is its ease of use. It is straightforward and not complicated at all. Easy for a beginner to use.

  • Cons

  • Indeed is a great tool for higher level positions but does not work as well for catching hires for front line / entry level to lead positions.

  • The search function could be a little more intuitive: a simple search is easy, but figuring out how to get to the advanced search function could be easier to find.
